What?! I'm not the only one?
-
All wise and very true observations BN. I wonder if AJ Irons (still working, but you never hear about him anymore (why is that? he's fantastic. )) and Kyle Vong and to a lesser degree, Alec Andrew's boyfriend (Ryan Steele?), were among the tail end of the escorts interested in building a reputation by being fast out of the gate and service-reliable while building a glowing review portfolio and appearing to want to be in the business as long as they could? Was it after them that things shifted? I suppose part of the challenge since then is that it's hard to build that reputation when the reviews, YES UNDERSTANDABLY, are no longer allowed to be explicit. Also, of course, the murder (thank you Kamala Harris and Nicholas Kristof) of backpage and craigslist which drove the "pay the rent" escorts to RentMen.

I agree with some of the others, given what you are looking for you are going to have more success with the older escorts. That wasn't always the case, in the glory days of Europe and America and Australia male escorting, 15+ years ago, you would have had great luck with all age groups. Except of course for the BareBack thing on your list.

A Los Angeles Thai masseur, MJ, used his body in a similar way. Unsure if he's still working.

Fuck. I can NOT find him. I've spent too much time, I have to give up in shame.

The main actor is the man who directed the movie "Amelie" You can stream all 5 eps on Amazon Prime. I have one more episode left and then I have to wait for season 6 :-( https://www.amazon.com/Season-1/dp/B01LZY3T9R You have to pay extra, but definitely worth it. My recollection is that if you purchase it elsewhere you won't have access to season 5, I may be wrong. Enjoy!

I'm with you L2P, I feel sadness and regret looking at it, yet it seems unlikely "they" put the website up so we could feel those feelings and more likely so people can gloat and chastise, as we've seen in this thread.

https://pornstarmugshots.blogspot.com/ That website makes me unhappy, I think it's less a "service" and more a place to feel schadenfreude. Doling out compassion only to "good" people is lazy. Celebrating the suffering of others because "they deserve it" is pretty low. That final mugshot of JW, him scruffed out in the Orange jumper is SUPER sexy. He reminds me of so many of the men around where I grew up in Minnesota. None of the posters who had opinions about JW's looks or about his life as an escort and a person, outside of his crimes, should have needed to qualify it with "not that I'm condoning". That they have to be so afraid to say what shouldn't even need to be said shows how far communication has fallen away from common sense.

Juan : The dude is - giving you head? Frank : What's a poor boy to do? Gertrude Stein was right, "A mouth is a mouth is a mouth." Such a fun movie. Paul Bartel, what a loss. :-(

is there a safe way to get a massage right now?
Rod Hagen replied to starman05's topic in Spas & Masseurs
As a masseur I may be shooting my own foot by saying this, but we can rely too heavily on massages to bring us back to fighting shape. We need to stretch more. All of us. I don't mean 1 minute of stretching before or after an activity, but 20-30 minutes (or more) of stretching or yoga 2 or 3 times a week. Believe me I find stretching very boring. I much prefer to have someone else rub and stretch me. However, you will stay on top of, not just injuries, but general discomfort and malaise if you stretch properly and, just as importantly, regularly. There are thousands of very good stretching and/or yoga youtube videos for all abilities. Stay safe. Stay limber -

Rod Hagen replied to NoahMathews89's topic in Spas & Masseurs
Yeah, there are spas that have been asking that much for a long time. I went to Montage Laguna when it opened and even then the massages were over $200. Additionally, you would definitely pay that much, or close to, if you signed up for Rolfing, which from experience I think is overpraised. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolfing I'm a bit surprised he'd advertise on RentMasseur, it's not the kind of website that accrediting agencies are fond of. He is cute that's for sure -
Thank you so much for mentioning this movie. I actually have it and, because of you bringing it up, have watched it three times this week! "you ever tried fucking?" "You mean like horses?!" " (Chuckles) I could think of a better way of putting it, but yeah, like horses"

Oranges. Very cold Oranges. Fucking love oranges after anything physical.

I actually love back hair. Super thick back hair. I think Hussein was much sexier after the Kristen Bjorn days when he let it grow.

I love researching past escorts, I can't find Jimmy Joe. Was it this guy in San Diego? http://web.archive.org/web/20030403001928/http://www.male4malescorts.com/reviews/jimmysd.html

Anyone watching this? I have two episodes left of Season 5 and I have to say it is my third (maybe second) favorite non-fantasy show ever. Remarkable. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4063800/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

When (and how) was the first time you were hired?
Rod Hagen replied to marylander1940's topic in Questions About Hiring
1999 I wrote up an AOL escort profile and put myself into the WestHollywoodM4M chatroom. That night climbing the steps to a Man's Los Feliz house I thought, "This is either going to suck, and I'll never do it again but be richer for the experience or it will be fun and god knows what will happen afterward." It was great (we did everything I love), he was great (we did everything he loved), and 21 years later I'm still at it and my rate is the same -
Someone should make a list of all the classic gay movies that used copyrighted songs, Like Star Wars theme in Centurions of Rome

It seems as if with Covid the Dose is the Poison. In other words, the more you take in the sicker you may become.

When I first started going to Delmonico's I would ask them for non-clarified butter, which I couldn't find anywhere else, and they would bring it. Then one day, I asked for it. The waiter brought back clarified butter. Now, I knew he didn't know what I was talking about. Nobody else seemed to either. I was never able to get it there again, and soon after it closed. Sad. Great place.

You are so fortunate; I miss swimming almost as much as sex.

Sorry to hear that, that's too bad. I remember Brock having good reviews. I might be wrong. To the original subject, I think maybe some of the stubbornness on the part of we (us?) escorts to agree to leave our urban bubbles might be anchored in an assumption that the client will eventually pass through our town and THEN we can make arrangements. In other words, if a client lives in Long Island and the escort lives in Manhattan, the escort can assume reasonably that at some time in the near future the client will be in or pass through Manhattan, and so at that time an affordable hour appointment can be made. Same goes for LA/Palm Springs or LA/San Diego. If an escort lives in LA and a client in Palm Springs reaches out to him, it's safe for the escort to assume that the client will most likely be in LA in the near future. Manhattan and LA have a gravitational pull. These are explanations, not excuses, and they may be on the subconscious level.

I've always enjoyed stretching, but have been resistant to yoga. Get over it. During Covid, I've been loving following along to multiple Vinyasa routines on Youtube, and they are fantastic. Hatha yoga I like as well, but so far I prefer the flow of Vinyasa.

Well....you can't like me THAT much if you live in or frequent SoCal and haven't hired me in 21 years. I am very glad you had such a great time with Brock. I heard great things If it was $250/hour then Brock's hourly rate is higher than mine, so it makes sense his 2-hour circle might have been larger. Additionally, driving from SD to PS is much less prone to multiple-hour traffic jams than LA to PS. I'm reasonably comfortable driving my car to OC or Upland. But I don't trust my car to Palm Springs or Bakersfield or Santa Barbara or Big Bear or Barstow, so in those instances I have to rent a (small) car which, with all the coverage, is costly, particularly at the last minute. Considering how much of a Mensch I've proven myself to be over the last couple decades, you shouldn't call me jaded. It's neither deserved nor fair.
