Definitely ask. Yes they could lie, but he could also tell you he isn't vax'd and then you'll know. Also, I'm all in favor of creating a culture of pressure on ppl to be vaccinated and healthy generally.

I linked to his old reviews above. Just click the word "brogan" in my original post above. Wait, here you go, just click this. That's why I mentioned the internet archive being your friend :-) https://web.archive.org/web/20050824173913/http://www.male4malescorts.com/reviews/broganla.html Anyway, glad you had fun with him . I think everyone who met Brogan enjoyed meeting him. One of the special past escorts who to my memory had no naysayers nor controversy. Just beautiful and fun and professional.

Was your review Brogan the DGMilano review?

Thought it might be interesting to start a thread, I won't maintain it, with a weekly, similar to "Friday Funnies" thread, discussion of an escort of the past, loved or hated or both. It's important to link to the person, not just talk about them in the abstract, so learn to use the internet archive, it's easy. It is NOT A GOOD idea to get into specifics about what that individual is doing now, if they are retired, because it's indiscreet and can jeopardize their current careers and circumstances. I'll start. Brogan. Los Angeles. I only met him once, not for work, briefly with a friend who had hired him many times. At that time his hair was very short. He was beautiful. My understanding was that for some time before that he also had long hair, which looked fantastic on him as well. We exchanged emails several times about this and that. A very good friend of mine hired Brogan many times, mostly when I was out of town, but sometimes not. Brogan was passionate and sweet. I knew others who hired him. Everyone who did loved him. We were never hired together. I do not know why he left, if he moved away or moved in with someone. But he was both a star, meaning much discussed, but also a shining example of how escorts should be. Additionally, bonus, beautiful What are your memories of Brogan?

Really interesting exchange, thank you for posting it. On topic, before he started escorting, Brogan tried to hire me, but our schedules didn't fit. I don't think he was looking for pointers :-)

I just finished and enjoyed BT's Filthy Animals, and can't wait to read his other books.

Have you ever seen an escort you’ve hired on TV or in a movie?
Rod Hagen replied to InterestingGuy's topic in The Deli
10+ years ago I saw a gay movie and a, at the time currently working and popular, LA escort was in it. On IMDB he had maybe seven movie credits. We knew each other, but I didn't know that. Not long afterward I saw him at the gay Starbucks CLEARLY in a showbiz meeting w/3 other people, and from the look on his face, I knew that we did not know each other :-) That reminds me of a quote from Guy Davenport, I can 't find it exactly, but here it goes, "When I see my cat outside the house, he doesn't know me. And it is clear from his expression, that I should not know him." -
Older guys don't come much, trust me I know (for some reason I never came much, even when young). If you had fun and his coming is important to you, then he came.

Oh fuck him, seriously.

Sex (adapted) and intimacy post prostate cancer surgery can be fulfilling and fun, don't give up. Nobody's last words were, "thank god I didn't use my AmEx like I used to."

It's unfair that hiring in Nursing Homes isn't an option. Even if it weren't explicitly forbidden, the staff would scold the client, treat him differently. And, let's be honest, even in the best of nursing homes your freedoms are significantly curtailed, particularly if you're living with disabilities and/or mobility issues. In the world I imagine, a world that won't happen in my lifetime, escort brochures would be in every live-in Occupational and Physical Therapy facility, every facility for those living with cognitive issues who can make their own decisions about living and legal matters, and Assisted Care facilities of all kinds. Regardless of age or physical or cognitive (moderate) impairment, If you're alive, your physical needs are otherwise met, then occasionally you're horny. Assuming sex is an option, I could stand to live in an otherwise-well managed assisted care facility. Until that happens, I will continue to read Jane Brody weekly and, sooner rather than later, adapt my apartment to make it Age-in-Place ready.

Ha, even the names Gen-X and young Baby Boomers gave to Bands (Dead Kennedys, Madonna, Screaming Blue Messiahs, Circle Jerk, Joy Division (WWII concentration Camp brothels)) wouldn't fly today

I had no idea. Absolutely makes sense both in her looks and her attitude which, while 200% woke, is more acerbic than, say, either daughter from Modern Family.

I chastise myself whenever I laugh at Lasso. I guess it's like a Disney TV show, just let go :-)

I replaced my 6S with another 6S. I'm happy. :-)

Funny show, but comedy is getting way too nice for me. Shows like Ted Lasso and Hacks where it's clear even the prickliest character hides a big heart. Recently, a NYTIMES article from the chief Television Critic outlined the shift from irredeemable characters 21 years ago in the British The Office and the original years of Curb Your Enthusiasm to a more feel-good, of course inclusive, Zillenial-aesthetic. Oh well. Part of being older is accepting that the culture is no longer yours.

Masseurs in LA that offer Graston or Guasha
Rod Hagen replied to Antonio1981's topic in Spas & Masseurs
You are right, Antonio1981, traditional Graston work does make you quite red; "they" say it is good. The device I'm using on myself provides relief on a couple areas of seemingly intractable swelling. Good luck! -

Rod Hagen replied to Antonio1981's topic in Spas & Masseurs
I use a graston on myself, but wouldn't be comfortable using it on someone else, requires specific training. My graston is very simple: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H1NDIGW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 actually, it's a scraping device in the "graston" toolkit. Good luck! -
SO SO SO SO SO SO Beautiful. God I love that man. Black Irish. FUCK! Intellectually, I realize objectively he was most beautiful in the Tigerland days, but the older he gets the more I want him.

Justin Taylor? I don't remember him. Was it Justin Baylor, the really fun guy out here in LA?

Can't wait to read that, I love Colm Toibin. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/31/books/review-magician-colm-toibin.html https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/07/books/review/colm-toibin-magician.html How is it so far?

A client/friend I've known for over 20 years is nearly 94; long ago I think he saw this website, but never posted.

There are some young non-effeminate alternative types on whom painted nails suit them well.

Love that book. Movies and songs that vortex (bad verb, sorry) here and there and/or loop back to the beginning, more of that please. The Cure song Disintegration, is a great example of that phenomenon, as are several Godspeed You Black Emperor songs. So is the play, Copenhagen.

Actually, now I think it might be this movie, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117662/ or this one: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116714/ It could also be Twist https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0339827/ I remember the scene very clearly. I'm just not sure what movie it was. I thought it might be Hustler White, but I have that one at home, I scrolled through it twice and couldn't find it. My money is on Skin & Bone.
