I have a work boondoggle at the end of January. Work week I will be in Miami for acouple nights, then going to head up to Fort Lauderdale for the weekend. Staying right off the Beach. Just a general appreciation post for the male nurses! As someone who’s been on the other side of the bed more nights than I cared to be, I appreciated all my nurses who were there when I needed them. So update on this one. Still haven’t set a retirement date, but starting to form around the idea of 55 in about 7 years. Still need to work out where I’d like to be long term. Likely somewhere warm in the winters because I’m done with the snow. I’ve been starting to take better care of myself between WeGovy and Testosterone. It’s long since past time to start working out. I have to be more consistent with it. Also trying to put myself out there more. I volunteer drive for dog rescues in my spare time, and likely will continue that into retirement. During Covid, I started a coffee habit because it did feel nice to be recognized by name as a regular. As Covid lessened, I voluntarily started to go back to the office. Mainly for social interaction because otherwise it’s just me and the dog. As I approach the retirement years, I don’t know how best to approach social interactions. However, I plan to start volunteering more of my time just so I’m out in the world with folks.
