  1. For those interested, Ace has now gone short hair if the longer hair wasn’t your thing. Newer pics up on RM https://rent.men/ChampagneAce Goes without saying - I like him both with the longer and the now shorter hair.
  2. I didn’t think providers would end up being in my cheering section, but they show up with genuine compliments. Yes, there’s a financial stake in flattering you, but seriously you know when you put in the work and deserve it. It’s nice to hear it from all walks. Your friends will encourage you as well. Hearing it from someone you want to see naked though, that motivates!
  3. I’m going to admit I went from 5’8” 250 to now 180ish over acouple years now. I got serious about working out back in December which got me from 205 to 180. It’s been a journey. Look into GLP-1 coverage with your doc. One of my docs pretty much told me he’d endorse it with my primary care. That took me from 250 to 205 with some discipline required on my part too. The next bump in weight loss came with gym time. My goal is lower bf %, and my frame can put on weight. Combine that with TRT, I had some synthetic youth advantage there for muscle gain. That’s not your goal. That’s okay. Where to start? Appetite control - look into GLP-1 they make a cheaper pill form that has some limitations, but it’s accessible. Start tracking your food intake. $20 for ChatGPT helps me. I take pics of food labels, I have a running chat that tracks my food with my goals. ChatGPT surprisingly decent at it. Exercise - walking that’s it. Don’t go nuts with it. Try to work up to 10k steps. Movement is key. Do not attempt running - walking beats running especially for bigger folks. You don’t need to beat up your joints. If you have an Apple Watch, it will track your activity. Movement - get up for 5 minutes every waking hour. Deskjob is a modern killer. Apple Watch will also remind you here too. Good luck, get started and stay consistent. When you start to slip, get back on track. when you don’t feel like doing the work, start a 5 minute walk. after you eat, walk for 10 minutes if you have regular gogo boy in your life, tell them you are trying to lose weight. When they notice, you will end up using that motivation. Some of the GoGo boys at the Lucky Horseshoe are my personal cheering section.
  4. Out supporting the arts tonight. Anyone want to stop by and say hi, I’m at the back bar with a red shirt and khaki shorts. It should be a good show!
  5. Rare Sunday night for me at the shoe, great line up of dancers. Definitely something for everyone. Currently being entertained by Calix on the box.
  6. There’s another Show Boys shows coming up on July 29th Wednesday night. Should be a good line-up for some entertainment. They’re doing a Heroes theme. Acouple of my favorites will be there as well. https://www.instagram.com/p/DbADLP1uRis/ Also, I’ll also be there as well so feel free to come out and say hi.
  7. Shoe is having another Show Boys show and it’s a good crowd. I probably need to get better with promoting some of their shows ahead of time.
  8. I’m not crazy about ibonds only because I grew up with the savings bonds and it was a pain in the butt to redeem paper ones. Old promises that I wouldn’t do savings bonds when I got older. Now, I view them as something to park near term cash for peace of mind without thinking I’m losing to inflation.
  9. All depends on how you know it’s their bday and your arrangement with them. If they told you their bday such as if you booked airfare for them, I think a happy bday text would be appreciated. But again, your mileage may vary. Small gift also goes a long way. I lucked into taking a masseur out to dinner after a session and it was his bday weekend. That was a nice bit of coincidence and happy to have done so. He’s good company. Rich
  10. The Shoe will have their ShowBoys revue tomorrow Wednesday night at 8pm. They do a burlesque style show. It’s a fun time in an entertaining fashion. This month’s theme is Villains.
  11. I can’t say I’m happy about having ibonds. However, I do feel a bit more peace/comfort knowing there’s a portion of the reserves with some inflation protection. It’s more feeling of reassurance that I actually did something to protect it.
  12. Shot in the dark - headed to NYC next month.
  13. Bumping this up - IML weekend is approaching in Chicago. The shoe will be hosting another party in back. Not sure the specifics on how wild it might end up getting, but it might be worth checking out. I will likely end up showing up. The shoe has been on a consistent upswing lately for dancers. Deviance at Lucky Horseshoe Friday May 22nd - 8pm-2am Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Link to Eventbrite advance tickets Adding - I have no stake in this event. Just passing it along. I know a few of the dancers lined up for it, though. Also - this is NOT the old private parties from a decade ago so adjust any expectations. The relatively cheap cover charge should be plenty apparent they aren't going to be risking any liquor license for the old shenanigans.
  14. Just going to roll this little grenade. Some of the holier than thou - lack of empathy - the law is the law types - if you are on the other side of the transaction, you can just as easily fall into this detention trap as well. Just because we have reached a certain age with some greying hair won’t matter a bit if some drunk on power border official in the US decides it’s time to ruin / embarrass a gay man’s life. Some AI system has finally linked your signal/telegram chat to your cell phone or home wifi IP address, flagging your identity as engaged with SW’rs too. At this point in my life, I know I stand with SW’ers because I’m part of their community. A good number of my fellow men of a certain age have come into this life late in life, and don’t have the experiences of being called a f@ggot while leaving a gay bar in their teens or 20s. Once you realize you’re part of the same marginalized community, you’ll be better prepared to deal with indignities that will be coming our way should these abuses of power continue. Your age, net worth, social status, what you think are your rights in the comfort of your own home won’t matter when you face a windowless room and no access to your smart phone or legal counsel. Add to this if you are detained on unrelated business travel or with family, you just want to continue on with your trip, convincing yourself you can explain away there was a case of mistaken identity etc. Y’all better start extending some grace and flexing our collective privilege to refocus efforts on actual non-consensual / violent crime rather than some pissant fishing expeditions for some power tripping officers punching downwards. Today, it’s some twink, fem boy, circuit queen. Tomorrow it can just as easily be embarrassing / inconveniencing the <insert your insecurity about your age / hiring status / weight etc here> because some border agent/ police officer felt like it.
  15. Just giving Ace another shoutout. Consistently good experience.
  16. I’m adjusting my retirement at 55 plans because of a recent hiring spurt. Why? I’ll likely need the disposable income. I’m still saving for retirement, but when I run across someone whose company I enjoy, I’m not going to trade the present for a future where I’m older. I don’t know where my budget number will end up - just yet for the year. The next couple months will show if I stay mainly in Chicago market or travel occasionally. Previous years I ran somewhere about 5k between massage and the occasional provider. I’ve blown through that a bit when you include travel to escape the winter this year.
  17. @BuckCanucked if I’m in town, I’ll buy you a drink at the Lucky Horseshoe the local gogo boy bar. It’s been a fun time lately. Not too much fun, they don’t have private rooms or anything.
  18. You can also rent lockers. I haven’t been yet myself. I should check it out as it’s in my backyard. You never know if someone will find you a hot dish! I’m 48, and never thought I’d actually have dancers/escorts that genuinely want to hang out for a night out. I’ll pick up dinner/drinks, but it’s definitely not their regular rate. in addition there’s this event, I haven’t been yet https://www.cumunion.com/?page_id=576 This might be best moved to the travel section.
  19. Just bumping this to report. Met up with additional times, and good times.
  20. Quite flexible in person. Met up in LA. He has a lot of things in motion as one does to survive in LA. He came from working out so got cleaned up at my place. Juggling a bunch and asked for a deposit/advance. I took the chance and he followed through. if you want to scratch the itch of seeing the super flexibility in person, he fits that box and will show off his flexibility.
  21. Another trip, another quality night even on a Wednesday. They have a rule that if a dancer wants a weekend shift they have to work a weekday shift. So there’s a good variety of dancers!
  22. Aw, thanks. Posted mainly for others. Tho I have been thinking a good deal of what I want out of my next decade. Hence, the post - figured it may be of some value to others as well.
  23. Golly gee, Mister Fogg. That’s some kinky role play.
  24. Figured this might be of interest to some on here. I have less than 2 years before the big 50 at this point. However, navigating getting older is an interesting path for sure. What comes next PR release on Palm Springs Post
