Don't think so, but he's played one on TV https://www.boyfriendtv.com/videos/423852/jaxton-wheeleer--dante-colle/

An old joke, back from the early 2000's, was if you buy a Jaguar, you need to buy two, so you have one to drive while the other is in the shop.

After quarantine, I have become a lot better at...
+ bashful replied to jeezifonly's topic in The Lounge
Not being a slave to routine, like watching the same shows at the same time, not going online constantly, at the same time every day, learning to say no to invitations without feeling guilty, not gambling as much, and most important, recognizing my flaws, and those that I have not gotten better at controlling. -
I would take a look at an Impala, however as @Danny-Darko said, may be a bit over budget. Well rated. I would think it would be quite, and ride well on a long drive, and you have a choice of a fuel efficient 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, or a powerful 3.6 liter V6. Unfortunately for the Impala, it came out as people were shifting to SUVs vs. sedans, so a lot of them went into the rental fleets, which is good for you who doesn't want to buy brand new, and suffer the depreciation.

Good for you, but it's not for me. All I can do is imagine a rough ride, and then, a hemorrhoid popping out before I even got home from picking it up from the dealer.

I have no interest in Hertz, but with their bankruptcy, I would think there are some deals to be had. www.hertzcarsales.com

Extremely expensive. My neighbor said he had to pay $795.00 for a break job on his Q5, and that was at least four years ago.

Are You Still Inspecting Eggs In The Carton At The Store?
+ bashful replied to + Gar1eth's topic in The Lounge
I always check to see if cracked. Grab another carton to check if they are. If I go to use, and see one cracked, but not leaking because that clear layer just inside the shell is still intact, I still use them. -
"Landscapers' Challenge" I think was the name of the show, or maybe "Curb Appeal"

I know retirement communities are extremely cautious, and should be, but reading this, I couldn't help but think it sounds like visitor day at a prison.

I once bought one of those 3 foot real trees they sell outside the Jewel (Albertsons) at Christmas time. I got it home, and put it up on a table while I dug out a box of decorations. About an hour later, I began to put on lights. Needles began to drop off like crazy. I shook it, and at least half fell off all over the table and floor. I fired off an email to Albertsons. The response was the usual corporate BS apology, along with comment about how there are sometimes mistakes in the “manufacturing process”. I responded that they clearly did not read my email, as some would say, only God can make a tree.

For some reason, I can’t post the link, but search 5277 for a thread.

Especially that. (besides some of the others listed, such as kissing)

Off all those mentioned, Mysterious Skin is the only one I saw. Thought it was a great movie. While I wouldn’t call it the best, I liked the web series “Hustling”, with Sebastian LeCause.

Cut my own hair too, back in early May. A couple of gouges around the ears, and a little uneven in back, but not too bad. Felt much better. They finally opened barber shops this month. I waited a couple of weeks because my regular barber decided to retire instead of returning, so the other guy in the shop was busy at first. Got my haircut last week. Much much better.

I remember my parents, and friends, many of the men who served in WWII, used to say Decoration Day. Our immediate family never did decorate a grave, maybe because my parents were immigrants, and my father was the first generation to serve in the US military during WWII, and they knew none who were buried, but I always liked the term rather than Memorial Day.

I believe it provides some comfort to, I guess in a way, reconnect. It's been almost 15 years since I visited an actual cemetery, because most of those I've lost were cremated, and ashes spread nowhere near I live. Over the years, infrequently, if I'm near, I've returned to a place where ashes were spread, just think of them for a bit. However, every few years, I travel back to our favorite place, where the one I loved ashes' were spread, to throw the flowers of a lei in the ocean. It's were I want my ashes.

Never been a fan of physical humor (e.g. Three Stooges), but I would have laughed at that, big time.

Best wishes as you begin the next chapter in your life.

Got a 100% increased in points for gas/groceries etc. on the two Amex cards linked to hotel points, a 25% reduction on my dental insurance premium for next two months, and a $25 statement credit on my VISA for every $500 I spend in June. I’m already rated for the least miles driven, so nothing from them.

I have a 1 bedroom condo, so not likely anyone with a kid will move in and need a tub for the kid. I actually think it will help resale of my place to not have a tub. We have a lot of people who move here after selling a house, but don’t yet want to move to a retirement community, or aren’t ready for assisted living. The other demographic buying, or who were buying, are single, and usually move out when a kid arrives. As my arthritis worsens, it’s hard some days to step over tub to get into the shower, other days not so bad, but I can’t imagine how difficult it would be for me to actually sit in the tub, and then try to get out of it. Last time I did so here was 15 years ago. Last time I used any tub was when I used the big soaking tub at a hotel 4 years ago, glad no one saw me as I was getting out of it. I’m going to begin getting estimates on pulling the current tub out, and convert to shower with a bench. Would also like to make it wider, and install some discreet grab bars placed between the studs and custom tile work around and behind the bars, so they don‘t intrude on shower space. Will depend on what’s behind the wall, and will forgo if too expensive, and just do a bar along the wall. Just don’t want to spend too much more money than I’ll ever get back. Hoping $10K will do it. Then of course, have to think about replacing vanity, toilet, mirror, and light fixture, so probably looking at $15K. Hoping I can recycle existing mirror by having it cut off on the bottom so I can raise the height of the countertop, and keep same light fixture. At a minimum, will do the new shower, and new toilet. I’d like to start the work as soon as our association allows renovation work again. They currently prohibit it to limit exposure to Covid. Only emergency repairs.

Instead of bread crumbs, half crushed no salt top saltines, half oatmeal for binder. Rest of ingredients depends on my mood.

I currently don’t have someone come in to clean my very small condo, but often think of doing so as I get older. When I lived in a bigger place, she was great. I remember one time I was still there when she arrived (she had a key), and she didn’t look well. I left for work, and when I returned home, it didn’t have that usual just cleaned smell, and the check was still on the table. I called the service, and sent them the money to pay her (sick pay). When she cut back on her hours to take care of her grandkids, she still came to my place. I tipped her $300 every Christmas.
