  1. Oh, but it is. They, and their employer can be held liable under dram shop laws. As for the latter part of you sentence, time will tell.
  2. Now $23.99, delivery May 27-June 17.
  3. I agree. All those credit card machines should be re-programmed to be like Costco. Insert card, wait for it to say remove card, and your're done. No hands touching the machine. No having to use the attached "pen" to sign. None of that stuff like; do you want to contribute to this or that cause, or how was your shopping experience, and have to press the screen to respond. Edit. In the Chicago area, Mariano's is the only store that I've been to that is similar to Costco. Jewel, Shop and Save, and Meijer credit card machines all require using the "pen" or touching the machine in some way.

    Mayonnaise

One of my favorites, if on the menu, at a Tapas place is the cold chicken salad with curry mayo. Ummm.

If you just want to try it, buy the one cup pouch. The label doesn't specifically say "sugar free", but the Nutrition Facts say zero grams sugar. https://www.dukesmayo.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/pouchreal.png
  6. If it helps, your care for others will forever be remembered and appreciated. I have lost those I loved dearly, and still remember those who took care of them, and though cut short, their last years, months, and days were better for me, them, us because people like you cared so much. The magnitude of the toll of all this will probably never be fully known to people not directly affected, but your reaching out to let us know is a good start. I hope it has helped you.
  7. My father had all the DNR forms already filled out years in advance of his stoke in his mid 90s. It was hard, but of course, we respected it. If he didn't want to eat, then he didn't eat. No catheter could be inserted, but they did put on a tube that attached to his penis like a condom for urine. Like most who are very near death, he rallied, but it was very short, and we lost him within a couple weeks. He never liked the idea of being unable to take care of himself, and dependent on others.
  8. Oh, yes indeed. Jonesing for Wailea, Maui. Going to start checking their website to see if I can get a good deal on the Four Seasons again. Already have a travel cert for airfare. Just hoping they will let me use it to book travel dates after the expiration date of the cert, so long as i book it before it expires. I got if for canceling a trip almost a year ago. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hate to lose over a grand.
  9. Necessity is the mother of invention.
  10. In my early days after college, worked at four different hotels, most in a management position. To be honest, If we had to close, I would have had no clue if, and where a key was to lock the front doors.
  11. My car gets good mileage, and I don’t drive much, even less since the stay at home began. I filled up in the beginning of the month before all this started, and paid close to $3.00/gallon. Still have 3/4 tank left. In Illinois, full service is almost unheard of. However, there is a gas station in the northwest suburbs that has a full service pump lane. It costs a dollar a gallon more, but they come out and do everything. Pump the gas, check oil, tire pressure, and top off if needed, clean the glass, add washer fluid, etc. If you have disability plates, they direct you to the self serve pump so you’re only charged the self service price, but they still do all the full service stuff.
  12. Thank you, and all your colleagues.
  13. That is hot.
  14. The only problem with Costco is they will stop stocking items. One example, I used to be able to buy two large tubs of Smart Balance for $5.79. They haven't sold it now for over a year, and the grocery stores charge between $6.49, to $6.99 for just one large tub. It becomes one less reason to go there.
  15. OMG @BSR , I've been to that place a couple times. Just a neighborhood joint with a outdoor area for seating in the summer. Close to ORD.
  16. Not only clients he met prior. There are those he encountered just living his life in his home town, plus people at the airport, or on the plane when he traveled, hotel staff, etc.. Edit. @Just966 , just saw you said basically the same thing.
  17. I think I’ll hold off going to the store. Instead of the usual two eggs, two pieces of toast, and a whole turkey sausage patty for breakfast, or two pieces of chicken at dinner, cut all the portions in half. May lose some pounds in the process, as I surely need to do it.
  18. I live in a condo building. There are several over 60 year old residents (including me). Early this week, on the community bulletin board, a note was posted. A neighbor was offering to pick up groceries for anyone who didn't want to go out. Thursday, I got a message on my phone from a neighbor down the hall. She said others on the floor have been checking in on each other, and wanted to check in on me. I called to say thanks, and we talked a bit. She also wanted to let me know she received an email from our snowbird neighbors who have been gone since November. The snowbirds told her, if anybody needs toilet paper, they have a lot. My neighbor has a key, and if any of us need some, just go in and grab some.
  19. I have heard, but cannot confirm, when you foster a pet, you won't be responsible for vet bills.
  20. A plumber once told me, with the exception of toilet paper only, if it doesn’t go through you, it doesn’t get flushed. I thought he was only referring to condoms.
  21. Unfortunately, if air travel is restricted, it’s going to have to be an all or nothing proposition. Airlines have hubs connecting people from various states, or may be located in a restricted states. Also, crew members are a mobile workforce, and often live in other states, and commute to work via plane. I hope, hope it doesn’t happen as it’s bad already with the reduced flights. A complete shutdown will put millions of people out of work, employees and all the other associated jobs. Think about how many people you encounter when you travel by air that don’t work for an airline.
  22. Hopefully, your sister and kids will learn more about themselves and each other than just school lessons. As most often happens in times of adversity, you never know how you will get through it, but I bet they will come through better than they thought. One day at a time.
  23. You're not crazy. While reviews are a good starting point, it doesn't always mean the two of you will be a good match, and it could result in an experience where he's another dud. I think we have all been there. I don't have a lot of experience hiring, and I haven't ever hired as you are proposing, but I would suggest you have a few conversations over the phone to get a better sense of the person, he can get a better sense of you, and if you have specific wishes, ask him.
  24. I have a travel certificate on UA that I got when I had to cancel a trip earlier. it will expire in September. In the next week or so, when the lock downs, and flight reductions continue, I’ll call and see what if anything can be extended. I hate to lose it as it’s over a grand. I’m hoping at the least, I don’t have to complete the travel by September, because, let’s face it, it‘s a big unknown what if any hotels will be open.
  25. I have 14 rolls of TP left, a small case of ass wipes from Costco purchased months ago, meat and veggies in the freezer, soup, tomato sauce, pasta in the pantry, but only 21 bottles of wine. Luckily, I haven’t heard of liquor stores running out of anything.
