Both Holidays were pumped up with "gift giving" by the many successful Jewish Merchants in the United States. Most of the major name brands in Department Stores were started by Jews. R.H. Macy, the Bloomingdale Brothers. Abraham and Strauss, Horace Saks, Bergdorf and Goodman. Filenes, Gimbles, Sakowitz, Neiman Marcus and Kaufmanns...all went out of their way to decorate for Christmas but were all Jewish owned. Once the Christians were hooked on buying a gift for everyone they knew...the extended the custom into Channukah (which as you stated) was a formerly minor holiday only celebrated by religious Jews who would light a candle, recite a prayer and break bread.

Actually it's more likely the other way around. Oestre is an ancient Pagan holiday and the "Easter " egg hunt was typical to Germanic regions of Europe for hundreds of years. "Hiding the Afikoman" is specific only to Ashkenazi (German) Jews...and is a much newer tradition than the Oestre Egg hunt. So the custom was likely taken from their native German neighbors. Same for Hannukah. Traditional Germanic families (such as my own) celebrate for 12 days and children would get a small gift on each of the days as you would go around and visit family or host an evening meal for friends or family. (Typically we would invite our Jewish neighbors for the Feast of the Innocents). Likewise... Channukah celebrations never included gifts until Jewish merchants brought the idea forward in America around the 1890s. I don't know why Christmas got boiled down to one day of an orgy of gifts for a lot of Americans. My family still observes 12 days and 12 gifts.

Quoted 350 in call. Haven't met him yet, but was very polite and easy to communicate with.

Bear market! Recession has it begun.

The butterfly effect. Let's tear it apart, and see where the pieces land. Every stock I own, was puchased during a "bad downturn". Every piece of real estate I own, was snagged at the bottom of a market shift. The best time to buy is when everyone's telling you it's the worst time. -
That's quite a photographer...I should hire him. My Grindr profile would be off the charts if he can work such miracles with lighting.... 🤣

I am confused. One of the photos does indeed show a handsome man with a pleasantly worked out body. But another shows someone less attractive and less muscular. Are these the same person?? 🤔 @Brosnan "He is stunningly handsome and has a killer lean ripped body" The above photo doesn't seem to match the below unless there is some serious photoshop going on above. The fellow in the photo below isn't UNatttactive...but also doesn't look like a $1000 model hire..

I am rather shocked that we even need to share this common-sense advice. @Robert_chicago You're thinking with your dick, and not your brain. When it comes to weekends with escorts, sampling the goods is always the most sensible approach. WAY too much potential for unpleasant surprises otherwise.

And you KNOW this how ? Friends with Scott Bessent ? Need I remind you that if it weren't for the valleys in the market, there would be no opportunity for investors to jump in. Every few years, the powers-that-be manipulate the market and scare away the amateurs. -
I was raped once BY a policeman...so there's THAT problem too.....

Ah..you're right. I get their names mixed up. Are they still doing the long distance boyfriend thing ?

I wonder if this is A.I. generated. He's just so pretty. If real...then this guys is truly blessed with good genes.

I concurr with @NYXboy Don't hire two randoms at the same time. Check to make sure your hires are compatible personalities, not just appealing to you physically.

Perhaps not. But as of today, it still is. We were slightly below 5000 in May of 2024. The market spiked (unreasonably) after the election. We are slightly below 5000 as of my writing. So as of today, I still view this as a correction. So do the investment experts who I follow. Let's see what the rest of the week brings. For my part, I see buying opportunity and a decrease in the prime rate would definitely make me a happy man. Rates have been way too high for way too long. I have no reason to change my budget for massage services or anything else at this point.

It's a sign of the modern era when I read that news and I think: "Oh, he was still so young".... Rest in Peace. -

Housekeeping: "Cleaning" vs "Deep Cleaning"
pubic_assistance replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
I request a "deep clean" when one of my tenants moves out. They are all professionals and most have weekky (or biweekly) housekeepers...But a year or two of just wiping things down, leaves build up in corners and there are areas that always get overlooked like inside cabinets, behind the refrigerator and inside the refrigerator. It's sometimes shocking how gross people's kitchen and bath can be when they use mediocre maid services. I would say a deep clean is the same as the old "Spring Cleaning". Once a year, you take everything off the shelves and pull out the rug and curtains to get the dirt that is usually overlooked. -
Regular Joe's will be battling inflation for some time (as they've been doing since 2020). Smart investors will use the seismic shifts to their advantage and come out flush with cash. So the $1000 Brazilians will continue to be invited for champagne and anal sex on yachts while the $300 easy trade boys will be forced to suck cock at the roadside-rest for $100 and a cigarette.

Perhaps you should first brush up on your reading comprehension. I didn't SAY "increased production". I said increased DOMESTIC production. ...And I even made a point to explain how foreign production uses cheap labor to reduce cost. Sometimes it's good to understand what you read before you comment about something I didn't write.

It's not "homophobic" to have a different perspective.
