These comments make me thankful that i grew up in a culture that values dedication to others. Especially your elders. We lived in my grandparents house. They helped with the bills when we were young. When my grandparents aged and my grandmother was widowed, my parents took over the caretaking and all the grandchildren participated from time to time. Even if it was just to take my grandmother for a walk when she was in her 90s. To a degree...yes. You can't be grossly out of shape. But definitely, self confidence and attitude has made up for a few gray hairs and a lack of six pak, in my case. I am surprised at how often I still get hit on by young attractive people. The oldest I ever went for when I was young was maybe around 40. Now I am over 50 and still seem to be able to get a smile and a wink on the subway, or a phone number left on my check at the restaurant.

It does.seem to be a theme. I have never run into these problems because I am aware of what each of my friends are capable of paying for. So I adjust plans accordingly. For example an artist friend of mine invited me to an off-Broadway show for which she got free tickets through a lottery system. I picked up the tab for dinner. I paid $150 / she paid nothing. But she invited me to an interesting event none-the-less. Does it really matter that you go toe-to-toe on the cash ? I think with all relationships whether it's friends or live-in-lovers; it's about equal effort, not equal numbers.

People keep blaming the schools but research has shown that poor urban children continue to fail even when money is spent on improving the school and hiring "better" teachers. The failure in poor urban areas is about the parents not valuing education and therefore not providing the emotional support necessary to succeed.

Bangkok to me, is the most civilized destination for a combination experience of spa + massage + sex. I stayed at a spa some years ago with luxurious hotel rooms where you could pick out the boys of your choice and bring them to your room for a wide variety of services. 😉
