Maybe a good of thumb: Ask yourself: Am I absolutely sure that I am ready to marry or adopt this person and take on all parts of legal, personal and financial responsibility that entails? If the answer is no, then don’t put yourself at risk just to bring a good boy here… Good boys always find a home.

Please let me know when you figure out her dialect - is it all over the map because the character is an enigma, or is it just a girl from the Bronx after being released from 4 years hillbilly-speak?

INVENTING ANNA The latest from ShondaLand. Loved Julia Garner so much on OZARK and am curious about where she’s going with this character. First episode in, and I have no clue… the character is an Instagram star of many faces, and that probably explains why I don’t like her. (Not the faces, the InstaFame…) As with SCANDAL and HTGAWM, I know I have to have patience at the beginning for any Shonda Rhimes show to “settle in”, and I must pay attention, but not too much because sometimes plot holes. (esp who is allied with whom at any given point) This is the first production from Shonda for streaming, and the others were deliberately paced for a tight 50m w/network commercials - when binged, there are jarring shifts of tone or mood within a scene. Hoping for the best. Love seeing Shonda repertory cast members Jeff Perry, Kate Burton and Anna Deveare Smith all playing significant parts Curious to hear your takes!

SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE on HBO (series w/ LGBTQ characters)
jeezifonly replied to samhexum's topic in TV and Streaming services
I am impressed by the uncomplicated realness of this show. The characters have a lot of potential for development, and the casting is really spot- on. I’m 2 eps in, going to give this first season a full shot! -
REQUIEM is a dark mystery tale with supernatural elements, unfolding as a young cellist tries to understand her mother’s violent suicide, following clues found among her mother’s possessions, taking her to a small Welsh town with a lot of big secrets. I’m only 3 episodes in, totally hooked. Anyone else see it yet?

Curious to see the word “invest” used in the context here. Investments provide a return over time. Someone buys you clothing, a better car, travel for better work scouting, or gives you a job to do (something you’ve not mentioned here as an interest or skill.) Then the return for the investor is… what? I’m not saying you don’t deserve investment, but it’s most often associated with say, sponsoring education that will make you valuable to an employer, or maybe helping with temporary emergency medical or family care expenses. You haven’t delineated how this differs from being kept. Photographers are service professionals, as are website creators, and we know how you feel about being asked to provide services without compensation. You write well. Take some free classes somewhere, to make you better at it. Who knows, somebody may think you have talent for it and …invest.

Magic Mike was made for anyone who appreciates the male form in undulating motion. Gay men who appreciate it have access online to more way more undulating male flesh without a dreary script to get in the way… If I scroll by it I’ll watch on mute. They neglected to include any gay characters among the dancers. Not accurate imo. I’ve dated a former Chippendale and he said there were always gay men in the troupe. Sometimes the one doing the most outrageous things with ladies of the audience - didn’t have to worry about getting hard!

Today one of the few (only?) remaining singers of The Golden Age, and she was among the first to record her n Stereophonic Sound! The first recording of Carmen (RCA) I bought, and still my fave a perhaps the first multi-disc LP set I bought with my own earned money. The instrument, the technique, her signature bite at the end of a phrase. And the SPIN. Where a single note, on pitch, that hovers all around with an even tone and emotional quality that seems the defy human capability in duration and skill. A prime example if you missed out: 95 years! certainly not common, and especially not for women of color. A gift to the world whose art has made my life better for more than 45 years. And she’s the ONLY thing Mississippi ever got right.

Win by a nose, Race for the _______, applied to anything other than horses or cars. Across the bow, First shot, Campaign, Battle, War, applied to anything other than military The Honorable __________ So yeah, no… at the beginning of a reply to a question. Or anywhere else.

In watching another Olympic Games, I wonder what sort of rush each successful performance would feel like. I imagine there’s a lot of overlap with singing or dancing a difficult piece that’s taken a lot of work to perfect. You have nailed it in the past…and occasionally not… but you’ve been practicing well, feel good, focused, and finally get out there, knowing it’s a bit of a crapshoot. Toward the end of the course or performance or program, you reach that point where know you’ve done well, and are past scariest parts, and all of a sudden… you cross the line, hit the high note, or end the final spin and hit the pose. The crowd erupts! My vicarious thrills would be to sing an Italian aria or skate in a pairs program. What would you want to do flawlessly just once, to experience that brief but intense physical, mental, and emotional rush?

Providers included… 🤩

Watched this, finally. Goddamit she’s good. May be worth a second watch for me because of all the little interwoven details in the story and especially in her performance.

My undoing is when they ask “where do you see yourself in five years?” “Probably a skilled nursing facility.”

Your concerns about age-related bias are justified. Retail is not exactly a field of expanding opportunity right now either. Emphasize your skills and experience that translate across industries, like management and purchasing. Best of luck to you!

watch it on mute, and see why it’s getting the terrific response. Direction. Production design. Cinematography. Acting. All gorgeous to look at.

Jeez, if only that was doable for me…

You see now, this is yet one more reason to hire your own Barrow. Even though Spratt did better work (Did you know it’s possible to press a nice crease into a sling?? )

Diversified knowledge and skills in a provider (Art? Cooking? Gardening? Literature? History? probably makes him worth more after * gay gasp * 30. Not all of us look only for boyish companionship with ‘best by’ date on the container… Setting money aside has never been an easier process if one is dedicated to doing it. It may not be every week or month, but if you get in the habit early, life as a gig-worker does not have to result in being without money when said gigs dry up. As with all business, if you have a huge penis, you have more options.

Okay, so everybody laughed at me when I announced it at the time, but I saved my buckboard AND surrey with the fringe on top, and who’s laughing now?!?!? 🤓
