  1. Classy! Now I'm "cruel," "stupid," a " troll" and a "doofus"! And I'm compared to Kim Jong Un. Too funny! I guess it's all in the way you say it, right bigvalboy?
  2. Priceless! Now not only an I "cruel", I'm also a "troll" and "stupid". You must have been fabulous on your high school debate team? You certainly don't sound like a future Jeopardy contestant with your numerous failed attempts to shame and name-call those with whom you disagree with. So classy!!! According to your philosophy, those who correctly believe suicide is selfish somehow simply don't understand the complex issue of suicide as well as you do, as any person who believes suicide is selfish is dismissed as "stupid." How condescending and patronizing! It doesn't surprise me coming from a self-righteous arrogant fool. Wise up!
  3. What other "language" would you suggest? Shall we all sugar-coat and walk on egg shells around fragile people? This isn't pre-school. There is a very good book about suicidal bipolar people who love to manipulate every little detail and person in their lives. I believe it's called "walking on egg shells" and I suggest you read it. Many people have fought depression, major depression, and horrible life circumstances only to make it out better on the other side. Many people have lost millions and thought they could never live a comfortable lifestyle with "only" a couple hundred thousand... but they can. It's all a matter of perspective. What's most personal is most common, as the saying goes. People learn to live with "new normal's" all the time and adapt. The bottom line is whether you regard suicide as selfish or not, people have the right to hold their own sincerely held viewpoints without being demonized and shamed for holding such valid and sincerely held views. There is nothing cruel about freedom of speech and speaking the truth, especially when it's what you really feel, even if those views don't agree with yours. Gay people especially are supposed to so "open minded."
  4. How is typing an anonymous message on an internet message board "brave." Of that's right, because YOU agree with the statement.
  5. Predictable, typical, bleeding heart, flaming lib fake news. Do you always try to "shame" and manipulate people who disagree with you by name calling and labeling their comments as cruel? The truth is the truth. That's the beauty of facts and statistics. They don't lie. People are sick and tired of walking on egg shells to appease bipolar and fragile individuals who may not he able to handle the viewpoints of other well educated people. Their viewpoints are just as legit and valid as you believe your views to be. Opposing viewpoints that may differ from your own self righteousness. Suicide is selfish of so many levels. To not acknowledge that is simply disingenuous. Yes, it IS selfish to hang yourself when you seemingly have everything at your fingertips that others do not have and will likely never have in a hundred lifetimes. To leave your kids without a father and CREATE all that pain and suffering on your own children, family, and friends SELFISH. I guess that makes me a Debby downer cruel bastard, huh? I wonder how much outpouring of sympathy would be expressed if it were Donald J. Trump who killed himself? The hypocrisy is simply breathtaking.
  6. That's simply not true. You don't have to HAVE cancer in order to know how to treat it. Again, your opinion is just one person's opinion who had failed suicide attempts. There are many others who have failed suicide attempts who agree that suicide is indeed selfish. Like politics, it depends on one's personal viewpoint. You don't need to give a glimpse into the darkness. People can know and understand without needing to have depression. It's not a pissing contest to see who's attempted the most suicides or who's suffered the most major depression. Among others, I feel it is selfish, especially when you have children, family, friends and others who love you and you have the world at your fingertips in so many ways. What does that tell the minimum wage deli-meat slicer at the grocery store who has no friends or family, is single ,and is in declining physical health with tons of debt? I've seen people with stage-4 terminal cancer who fight to live another day. Living another decade or two as a multi-millionaire doesn't seem like a reason to off yourself. As I said, obviously there was likely untreated mental illness (depression) and with the unlimited resources available to someone as educated and connected, it could have been alleviated to a great extent. No need to be so dramatic claiming only those depressed can understand. That's nonsense.
  7. That video at the very end just shows one woman's personal viewpoint who had attempted suicide in her life. She doesn't speak for anyone except herself and her belief. I don't understand all the bashing "Bearofdistinction" is receiving on this message board for sharing a very common viewpoint. Like many, I've also had acquaintances commit suicide. I also share the pain of celebrity suicides with the world as well. True we just know their public persona , as the real human being they are in real life is often a different person. Many people naturally view suicide as selfish because of the enormous pain it cases survivors. I don't understand, and struggle to comprehend, why anyone would commit suicide as they would never be able to enjoy anther Taco Bell chicken challupa supreme. But seriously, the real reason people with enormous wealth and/or celebrity status still opt to comit suicide while the seemingly have no reason, is because there is almost always underlying mental illness of UNTREATED depression often with drug abuse or comorbid illness. I was asking myself the same question: if Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade had everything ...all the money and fame at their fingertips , what hope does that give the deli-meat slicers at the grocery store making minimum wage? It is a peferctly legit question to ask and shouldn't be shamed on this message board. Anyways, to answer your question, the bottom line answer is most of the time there is pre-existing UNTREATED mental illness that contributes to suicide, even if they have family or children to leave behind.. And flashing that 1-800 number wouldn't have stopped Anthony Bourdain of Kate Spade. "Oh, if they only would've called that 800 number".
  8. Yes, I hear you. When I was at the Emergency Room there was someone waiting in line who had been stabbed. I was amazed they placed me as a priority to get PEP over a bleeding stab victim. It's risky for me to leave the state and go on vacation, as my insurance won't cover anything in the event I need medical care.
  9. Pol·ly·an·na ˌpälēˈanə/ noun noun: Pollyanna; plural noun: Pollyannas an excessively cheerful or optimistic person.
  10. HaHa. Riiiiiiight! I notice whenever I leave a critical review on Montreal and the breathtaking collapse of the twink scene, Jake always has an uncanny knack to respond to my review a few days/weeks later to "get the least word" with the total and complete opposite rendition of what I had submitted.... as if that somehow negates the truth that Taboo is a total ghosttown regardless if it's the weekday or weekend. For all my fellow twink-lovers headed to Montreal courtesy of Jake and his "friends" claiming Taboo is "standing room only on weekends" with a "half dozen quality twinks", you can get your full refund at Jake's following address when you discover the true decline and ghosttown Taboo has become.... Save your money.
  11. It was a common phrase back in the day meaning to use extra protection if you "go out" with particular individual(s). I believe it was mentioned in the movie "American Pie" and others. http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Q170473.html
  12. Thanks for the confirmation. As I reported earlier in May, it doesn't sound too promising for twink lovers besides "Fred" at Taboo. Make sure you double-wrap. Tuesday or Saturday, Taboo is a ghost town.
  13. I was about to say those dancers looks very ordinary and likely won't bring in any new business until I saw twink boy Hayden. He is the only one I find attractive out of your list.
  14. That's how I felt. And as the shrinks like to say: "if that's how you feel, than that's how you feel." While I know I shouldn't expect a prostitute to only have sex with one person, as they would go out of business, the regular customers were just so old and nasty looking it sent shivers down my spine. I'm not going to apologize for the way I felt. That's why I am more boyfriend oriented than prostitute oriented, as I don't subscribe to the whole polyamory bathhouse lifestyle. To each his own. To pretend that's not exactly what's happening would be disingenuous. Should I not "mind" or think about these realities? The thing that was alarming to me was that he just started to top me raw after eating my ass without even asking. I put a stop to it immediately after I realized what was going on after 20 seconds (that he was topping with no condom) and went to the ER in MTL. I ended up spending $1400 for the ER visit and first 3 doses of PEP, and it costs thousands of dollars more when I returned home to the USA to complete the 4 week PEP drug regimen. Thank goodness I am negative and my insurance covered the pills in the USA. It was not a pleasant experience. If the dancer is willing to top me raw without even asking, then he will do that to anyone (and likely most) of his clients. Not safe! People who do that usually don't have much regard for their sexual health as they are usually already HIV positive.
  15. I just returned from 4 days in Montreal from May 3 - May 6. To make a long story short, Taboo sucks. On both Friday and Saturday night at 10pm there was literally nobody dancing on stage. Maybe 3 or 4 dancers total inside the club, surrounded by about 15-20 regular customers. It was a ghost town. I saw a well dressed businessman in an expensive suit totally ignored the whole time I was there. He later left with a look of disgust on his face that a not a single dancer approached him. The dancers I did see where not very beautiful. I recognized one from last year whom I had taken back to my Air BnB. He colored his hair blond and apparently "knows" every customer very well. Eww! I guess that's the reality of the business. Adonis has a huge statue of a naked man inside sporting a giant schlong. Very classy! The dancers at Adonis looked worst than the dancers at Gold Coast in Detroit. Basically, my 4-day twink vacation was a total bust. Campus was full of muscle guys, and I never go to Stock as I'm exclusively into skinny twinks. I only saw a couple street hustles who were nasty. My magic kingdom that I've come to know and love in 2005 is no longer. Every year the reviews I write of Montreal clearly get worse and worse. I think it's a good idea for me to initiate a self-imposed moratorium for a few years, as Montreal isn't worth the expense and effort anymore. This was my 16th and likely final visit since May 2005 . I've gone my car, train, and plane in the 13 years I've visited. I guess it's time to invest in a smartphone and set up a grindr/hornet account. There's no denying the gay strip club twink scene in Montreal (and elsewhere) is a ghost town and has been on a major decline. Taboo Manager Gerry and Bartender Diego really needed to go years ago. As others have mentioned, there's no way Montreal can support 4 gay strip clubs; however, I can still see it being a fun playground for people into the Stock type of muscle dancers. Twink lovers are out of luck.
  16. So we're going to pretend gender doesn't exist? What's wrong with "passing"?
  17. And I forgot to mention, at least you wont get murdered visiting Taboo or Stock in Montreal.
  18. Let's cut the BS. It's very easy for most educated people to tell if someone is masculine or effeminate simply by observing the way a person walks, talks, and naturally conducts oneself etc. Some people simply prefer masculine while others feminine. Those two adjectives and genders still exist. There's nothing inherently "wrong" in noticing and attributing the characteristic. I also spent my "coming out" years in metro-Detroit and found it "sufficient" for my needs, although obviously would have been much happier in Montreal or San Fran. To my previous point, it is a fact the gay scene sucks in Michigan as the Gold Coast is the last heritage gay strip club remaining...and it SUCKS!! Many of the gay venues I grew up with have also fallen out of business. Chosen Books, the Happy Tapp, Menjos, Back Street, the Works, the Complex in Windsor, and MANY more are now history. Just like it's a matter of opinion when Montreal started to decline (2005), the same can be said about the Gold Coast (2007). Let's just say I live 30-minutes away in a beautiful suburb and haven't been to the Gold Coast in over 3 years. I spend thousands of dollars traveling to Montreal twice a year. That speaks volumes! Am I wrong? Then again, I'm rather closeted and primarily into skinny masculine twinks 18-19 and I don't have a smartphone. Grindr and Hornet are the new gay. Stormy Daniels is coming next week!
  19. The Gold Coast has been on a steep-and-steady decline for the past 10 years. People used to travel across the border to Windsor for the Happy Tapp. That's been out of business for decades. I too am amazed that the Gold Coast is still in business. There are never any skinny, anorexic, masculine twinks 18-19. I haven't ben to Gold Coast in over 3 years though. Plus, people have literally been shot-and-killed in the Gold Coast parking lot. I believe there have been 2 or 3 victims in the last decade. Michigan is a dreadful place for gay strip clubs, and gay in general. I've lived in SE Michigan since I was two-years-old. EZE, had I known you were in my backyard I would have purchased you a drink !
  20. That's good to hear that Campus serves Draft beer. As far as I know, Taboo has never served Draft beer. I'm not sure about Luxe or Stock, or Club Unity?
  21. Why don't any Montreal strip clubs in the Village serve Draft beer? At Campus and Taboo all they serve is bottled beer.
  22. Strict smoking laws help a lot. The lack of cute skinny twinks isn't beneficial. Perhaps Florida will wise up one day and adopt such laws so we may enjoy the Ft. Lauderdale establishments that are currently smoke-filled cesspools.
