I was asked earlier about why I changed the heading of this post.
Another poster suggested that I change it to make it clear in the heading that I hadn't met them.  I thought about it and agreed.  I don't want to leave the impression it was a bad meet up.
It was also suggested that I had a bruised ego.  I thought about this as well.  That's not it.  I realize that I'm older and not winning any beauty contests (never have, never will).
I was upset because I despise rudeness and a lack of respect in any business relationship.  And that's what this is.  I was willing to pay $1,200 for a couple hours of their time. 
I that they treat the customers they meet with with more respect than this potential customer.

I would like to see rentmen (or was it rentboy back in the day) go back to listing providers' rates.  It would be so much easier than to have to ask a provider his rate, only to find out he's too expensive.  If a prospective client can't pay more than $300, it'd be so much more efficient to do a search of providers that charge $300 and under and then to be able to select one.  And honestly, it'd probably be better for high priced providers to not have to answer questions from clients that can't afford them.     

I never used to negotiate and now I do given the crazy rates.
And it’s rare I haven’t got the price down at least $100 (or an offer to keep the original $ but increase the time). Even if it comes after their time-consuming posturing about they know their value etc. 
I used to have more sympathy for the idea of respecting a provider’s rate once they threw it out - but I’ve learnt over time I am just a transactional counterparty out of hundreds for them so it’s time to start responding in kind.

I don’t think pointing out that he’s a cumdump is derogatory. I see it more as a helpful hint that you could breed him for free if you catch him at the right time 😈

There seems to be an understandable focus on which providers are the handsomest, sexiest, have the biggest endowment, are the best kissers, etc., but I am wondering who you would list as having the kindest character?   I don't mean just politeness and professionalism, but true kindness - a warm and giving heart and a genuine interest in those around them.  Maybe even self-effacing and unaware of how incredible they may happen to be?   
Perhaps it is too difficult to accurately gauge true kindness given the transactional nature of provider/client interactions, but if there are providers who stand out for you as being particularly kind, which ones are they?  I have never met with anyone, but I know that nothing is more attractive to me than someone who puts others first and and does not consider themselves better than anyone else - regardless of how hot they may be.

So it seems like Ben has been going through brief phases of being active on OF and Twitter before vanishing for some time, and isn’t based out of Boston anymore. I asked him on OF how he has been and if he still provides the same services he did in Boston. He left me on read.
