I think you can also look to porn. It may be possible that a lot of guys who hire view a lot of porn. When certain gays get horny, their speech can quickly turn into a bad porn script. They wrongly assume that every escort is like them when they are horny, and they assume escorts are horny all the time and enjoy hearing shit talk. It never made any sense to me. I find that most men who attempt to talk dirty actually fail miserably. Language is an art form and many Americans are suffering. Some argue it's the decline in reading. Others blame the internet and social media.

Wow. Imagine any other service provider making such a statement to a consumer. To me, those chosen words are a bigger turn-off than someone talking shit. Words matter.

He's not the only recommended massage guy on this board who doesn't respond to calls for an appointment. If a massage guy does not return my call, I move on. I do not want to be with a massage therapist who does not appreciate my business. If you're too busy to take new customers, then kindly tell me so. I may try to contact you in the future when it's very likely you'll need a new income source.

It seems to me, some of these guys don't do this work full time or don't want to do massage on a regular schedule, or they only want to work when they're in the mood or need money, perhaps.

I know from experience some guys get worn out. Burned out. If you don't love the work or you quickly tire of building a happy ending following where that's all the customer cares about, burn out can easily happen. The HE customers who don't care about massage really want sex, no matter what form that takes. Imagine the constant pressure of having to give more to men you don't find particularly attractive as a means to keep your loyal customers "happy."

It takes a lot of energy to give a good massage. Add the pressure of jacking off guys until they cum, and I imagine a very exhausting day. My arm and hand hurt just thinking about it. Sure, it can be fun and rewarding, with certain clients. But 5 times a day times 5 days a week. I'd be dead.

I've had massage on most surfaces. Some guys came to my apartment and put me on the wood floor with an exercise mat. Some guys had me on a futon. Another had me on his sofa bed. One guy had me on a mattress that was on the floor. Another guy had me on his Murphy bed. These days I require a professional table with a headrest extension. I'm too old and crippled to handle anything else.

I've never had a table or bed break, however, if one does break and the customer is injured, the massage therapist working out of his home could face serious legal ramifications. It gets worse if your lease or local laws prohibit you from performing a service business out of your home.

It does not pay to use inferior equipment when you are working on strangers.

I can't speak for every location, but in New York City, when a masseur is working out of his home, he has to consider a lot of factors. Where is the customer coming from? How is the customer getting to the masseur? If the customer is driving, car traffic and parking are going to be an issue. If he's using public transportation, all sorts of things can and will go wrong. How challenging is finding my apartment? Do I have to go downstairs to meet the customer and bring him up?

If the massage therapist books back-to-back appointments, he has two choices. Either he front loads his customers (early) or he back loads them (allowing for lateness). You can only do both successfully if you're willing to limit the number of people you see in one day.

If the therapist encourages clients to come a little early, and someone can't get there on time, it could have a domino effect on the rest of the day's bookings. All it takes is one late client to destroy the "come a little early" process.

If most of your customers come from outside your neighborhood and you allow a little time for everyone to arrive late, then you can't accommodate early arrivals. You never want to find yourself with two customers in your space at the same time. Privacy, privacy, privacy.

It's very difficult for a massage therapist to accommodate all events that are out of his control. But a true professional will try his best and settle on a preferred process. It's very nice when a masseur states that process in his ad.

Masseurs who work in private spaces also have to consider bathroom time. Some customers need to pee and wash their hands, 3 minutes. Or they have to poop, which can take up to 15 min. Some want to take a shower before and after, 15 min each. No two clients are the same, so the massage therapist has to juggle all these needs.

Thankfully, many massage therapists know how they like to work, especially if they are experienced. There's a well known guy who states in his ad that he will only see 2 people a day. It's pretty safe to assume that he's good on the front and the back, regarding time.

Take it from someone experienced in the spa business, never show up early for an appointment. Do not call to announce that you are early.

It's not so much a problem for someone working in a spa, there's typically a waiting area for customers. If you're dealing with someone who works privately, showing up early will most likely throw a wrench into the entire zen operation. Depending how a masseur books, these guys need down time in between appointments and that down time can vary. It's an energy thing that most lay folk don't understand. Also, it can take some customers a long time to get off the table. Not everyone exits at the same speed. It's very difficult to ask someone who has just had a massage to hurry up, and it's not easy to schedule these unknown minutes. Many masseurs grab a quick bite to eat between appointments to feed their energy. The last thing they want is their eating time interrupted.

The guy was flat out wrong to treat you the way he did. There is no excuse for that. He would have been fired under my watch. When a guy works for himself, his diva-ness can take over, and his customer service skills can be thrown out the window. If you wish to stay on the good side of a masseur, especially one working out of his home, never show up early for your appointment (unless the masseur says to call if you do).

This guy Carlos is well known. He's been around for a long time, making a lot of guys happy. He was ever present on Craigslist. I have a hot, young friend who went to him twice. He stopped going because the massage skill was lacking, and Carlos was more interested in having sex each time. I know a lot of guys enjoy penetration with their massage. I have no idea how many guys Carlos can turn in one day to make the rent worth the trouble. But the thought of not having a shower causes me serious concern. This is the reason I avoided him. I have no idea if condoms fit into the mix. I was too afraid to ask my friend.

It doesn't have to be for the same reasons for privacy to be equally important to both parties. My sex life is my private life. If I don't want family, friends, co-workers, or nosey law enforcement to know about it, then it's my responsibility to take my privacy very seriously. It does not matter if my reasons align with the escort's.

I have no problem respecting an escort's reasons. I have never asked for an escort's real name. If he does an incall, I have never shared his address with anyone. If a relationship is going to work and be successful, respect must be present on both sides.

That's true. There can be mistrust on both sides, especially when dealing with someone new. It pays to take extra time and care with someone new. However, a PNP escort may not be sober enough to show patience. Some escorts are only out to hustle.

We are often told on this board to trust the reviews and the established members who speak with experience. If you choose to take one for the team, that guy can be exposing himself to more risk.

I have an alias email with the same alias name when booking. It's the same name associated with my Rentmen profile. In a private email, I can send instant photos of myself that prove the Rentmen profile is mine. In an email I can speak frankly and privately. I have no problem answering an escort's questions. With this approach, no one in my life can catch me conversing with an escort. No one has access to my private email account.

I consider myself a great customer. I pay upfront. I'm respectful. I'm clean. I'm not demanding. If I feel you are sloppy at business, especially if you are rude or you enjoy playing rude or cocky, you're cut from my list. If you quickly and wrongly assume that I'm something other than what I am, I move on to another escort who behaves better.

    That's an interesting statement.

At my gym, if I purchase a massage package, the 1 hour session will cost $85. The table with adjustable headrest will feel luxurious, but my naked body will be fully covered and the massage therapist fully dressed. He will be very careful where he places his hands, fingers, and elbows. He'll work my chest and encounter my erect nipples, but he'll mostly ignore them. He may touch my armpit hairs but he won't linger there for more than two seconds. He will not touch the area where my leg meets my groin, one of my favorite spots. He will not touch the area directly under my balls, another favorite. And when he works on my glutes, he will not go anywhere near the crack of my ass. I love the feeling of my ass cheeks being spread open, same as I love the feeling of an elbow gliding up and down the crack of my ass. What gay man doesn't enjoy these special aspects of a massage? What gay male massage therapist wouldn't love being on the receiving end of this type of massage?

To be fair, when I book with a massage guy who advertises on a HE massage site, I don't expect anything, not even a happy ending. Sometimes the massage is so intense, my cock goes more limp than an overcooked noodle. But my flaccid cock and droopy balls still enjoy being touched.

I do book each appointment with hope. My hope is the guy is trained and knows what he's doing. My hope is he takes the work seriously and that he enjoys being naked with me. My hope is he has a sincere desire to make me feel healed and satisfied when all is said and done. My hope is, as a gay male customer, he won't be shy about working the areas that stimulate me the most. If I happen to get a hardon, my hope is he'll want to touch it and massage it for a bit, especially while he massages my balls or tweaks my erect nipples. I don't ever need to ejaculate. But I sure love when the therapist uses his talented touch to touch me everywhere. If he charges $150 for this gay man's massage style, then I figure out a way to afford it in my budget. It's a far better value and experience than I can get at my gym.

If my cock happens to get hard and the guy is turned on by my erection, and he wishes to make me cum, then I think of it as a lucky experience. It takes a bit of time and effort to make me cum. If the therapist is eager and committed to the effort, I add money to his fee.

You can't always spell out intimate details in an ad, and a true professional needs to be careful about the words he chooses to describe his service. However, there is plenty of evidence that hustlers exist in the HE massage business. If a therapist plays the he's hot/he's not game, that's one way I would define hustle.

$150 is a lot of money to me. If you don't respect the art of sensual touch and value its healing power, then I don't want you touching me.

I am totally not interested in supporting a massage therapist who markets himself to the gay community on the HE websites and then picks and chooses the customers he wishes to get sensual or naked with. Either you care about the physical and emotional needs of gay men, or you don't. Discrimination should not be acceptable.

I fully understand that certain customers expect too much. They are too demanding and unrealistic. They take their porn fantasies into the massage room. Some demand an escort experience at massage prices, and care little about the actual massage. There is a proper way to deal with these customers. Allowing a business to become a "he's hot/he's not" litmus test is a good reason for the business to fail.

His ad is basically Craigslist, except it wasn't free. Missed opportunity to not say something enticing about yourself. It could be fun to find out what exactly he does for $140. Or it could be a disaster. If he doesn't smell like the above mentioned or have dried McDonalds in his beard, he could oil us up naked and do a body frot session on the bed. That could work.

It's not smart to assume that 18-35 year olds can afford higher prices. Some can, and some may book, but they shouldn't consume too much attention because that age group won't pay off (not until they get older).

Not sure I fully understand this statement.

When it comes to designer clothing sold at Barney's and Neiman's, Middle America is influencing nothing. No source in Middle America (that I know of) is starting or setting a fashion trend. In the world of fashion it is often said, it's takes 2 years before a fashion trend takes hold in Middle America, even if the trend was given birth on television.

Social media has changed things, especially among the influencers. They seem to impact cosmetics purchases more than clothing. Clothing is still a very individual item. It's difficult to create a clothing trend when everyone's size varies so dramatically.

When it comes to expensive clothing, consumers across the country are caring less and less. In order to make Wintour's Met Gala relevant these days, Hollywood stars are forced to wear costumes posing as clothing. In order to turn heads in fashion, every day has to be Halloween. None of this nonsense will ever fly in Middle America.
