  1. To quote Oscar Wilde - To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance. Seems to fit that provider
  2. My being an optimist, I tried calling the Club Tobi again today. In the past, even a couple of weeks ago, the number just rang and never answered. Today is the first time that a recording comes on when calling that says (in Spanish) that the number is no longer in service. I am really surprised that the place closed. It had to have been a great money maker for the owners of the club and for the many guys who made themselves available to customers for a fee. Who would have thought such a busy and wild place would suddenly cease to exist! How sad.
  3. Language and expressions change over time. A few years ago, I was often called "Dude" instead of by my name. Those who used that term were not close friends. I did not take offense. "Bro" or "Dude" (or a mixture of such names) are merely comfort terms used by those who do not know you well.
  4. Prior to United Airlines selling Covid tests that are used in privacy in a foreign country and are acceptable for return travel to the U.S, from an International trip, I used the services of hotels where a nurse or medical employee came to the hotel and administered a test and furnished a negative Covid confirmation. However, the cost of that private service was around $250.00 and sometimes $300.00. Considering the United Airlines tests cost $25.00 including the Covid virus clearance, I cannot see the point in spending an extra $225.00 or $250.00 for someone to come to my hotel when I can do an equivalent test in privacy via the Whatsapp photo with a medical person watching on a video screen while I do the test. I later receive an e-mail clearance from the medical laboratory that is associated with the United Airlines tests and which are acceptable for return to the U.S., assuming the test is negative. https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucejapsen/2021/05/12/united-airlines-and-abbott-labs-offer-international-passengers-cdc-blessed-covid-19-home-testing/?sh=302e7f365549
  5. While what you wrote is GENERALLY true, providers learn from each other either through a minor friendship or word-of-mouth. That is why many provider rates are similar and/or within a certain price range. It is when "co-worker" providers talk among themselves (bragging about charging high rates) is often when asking rates increase beyond reasonableness. Not all providers know one another but certainly, many keep abreast "through the grape vine" what the rates are for their services.
  6. Many providers do not respond to messages from potential clients. Hence, it is not a bad idea to send out "bids" or inquiries to multiple providers in hopes that one will respond.
  7. A quote worthy of consideration: The most valid and reliable cognitive assessments are anything by Wechsler, Stanford-Binet, or Kaufmann if you’re looking for a broad-spectrum assessment that will look at your cognitive profile, rather than just give you a single number. However, any valid and reliable assessment requires a licensed or certified examiner to administer. Your examiner will determine the best method to assess your cognitive levels, and use that. Online tests? Not a single one. Don’t bother, unless you’re just playing around for fun.
  8. For United Airlines passengers traveling to foreign destinations: United sells a pack of tests (minimum of six tests) for $150.00. A passenger takes the unused tests (or how many the passenger might need) along to the foreign destination. When the passenger plans to return to the U.S. (the day of the flight or the day before) the passenger uses a cellphone with a camera lens turned on to call a toll free number of the laboratory that is affiliated with the tests. While on the video phone call with a laboratory employee, the passenger points the camera at the test and swab so that the laboratory employee can watch the test being administered. After ten or fifteen minutes on the phone together, the laboratory employee looks at the test vial. If the test shows negative, the laboratory sends an e-mail (and enters the negative test result) to the passenger. According to United Airlines, the test is acceptable by CDC to return to the U. S. Here is a link to the test, if anyone is curious. https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucejapsen/2021/05/12/united-airlines-and-abbott-labs-offer-international-passengers-cdc-blessed-covid-19-home-testing/?sh=302e7f365549
  9. There is no way to know how long it will take to renew Global Entry. My renewal took several months but I did not have to have an interview. There also is no way to know whether an in-person interview will be required. There is no pattern for renewals. Even spouses who always travel together internationally will experience one spouse getting quickly renewed while the other spouse must wait months for renewal. If anyone has a lot of time to spend, the link below will take you to a travel forum that discusses this very subject. As you will see from the countless responses, some people have waited more than six months for renewal while some get renewed in just a few days. Happy reading about Global Entry: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trusted-travelers/1426118-global-entry-renewal-120.html
  10. He is (was) also on "mintboys" with similar wording describing himself as he does on rentmen.eu https://www.mintboys.com/male-escorts/new-york-city/5e4c440ece412f231093e280
  11. Several years ago I visited Medellin and went to a sauna named Clube Tobi. I heard that the place went out of business. However, I cannot find any confirmation that the facility is really closed. Doing a Google search shows that the last reviews were a couple of years ago but the reviews gave no hint that the place would close. When I last visited there, the place was busy and had no hint that it might not exist for years to come. Many times I telephone the listed phone number for the sauna but it never answers - day or night. Does anyone know the current status of the sauna? Here is the latest I can find about the sauna. https://www.ellgeebe.com/en/destinations/latin-america/colombia/medellin/nightlife/el-club-de-tobi Thanks in advance
  12. I must be misreading your response. I think he asked "Getting a hot escort in places like Mexico City, Bogota or Rio costs as much as hiring one in New York or LA?" You answered in the affirmative. I have been to South America more than one hundred times and NEVER have I known of an escort charging as much as escorts charge in NY or LA. For example, in NY or LA a "hot escort" could charge around $400. At today's exchange rate in Brazil, that would equal R$2,041 local currency. In all the times I have been in Brazil (or other South American countries), I have NEVER known or heard of an escort to even attempt to charge that kind of money.
  13. The photos that you attached I found a bit humorous. That is because in my earlier post I commented that some of the customers do not wear shoes because the floors are very clean. Sure enough, in a couple of the photos you posted, it shows clients sitting in a chair without shoes of any kind. Walking around a sauna shoeless or without at least some foot protection is not for me. That is how relaxed and mellow Paragonya is.
  14. You will be very surprised when you visit Paragonya for the first time. Initially, the sauna is awkward to locate. It is in an office-like commercial building. You would not expect to find a gay hustler sauna in the type of building the sauna is located. You must ring a bell to gain access. The place is exceedingly clean and is nicer than the fine sauna in Barcelona (Thermas). The horrible hustler sauna in Madrid (Adan) is no longer in business so you will not be tempted to visit there. In addition to providers available in Paragonya, there are many older Swiss customers who come to the sauna who sit in the bar area and visit with one another, not particularly looking for a provider. However, some of these regular customers have favorite providers they engage while in the sauna. Many of the customers walk around without shoes because the floor is so clean and made of excellent material. After arrival in the sauna, if it is busy, you will soon see some handsome provider giving you a look that you cannot resist; then you will find yourself on the second floor of the sauna sampling a unique very fine gay sauna with providers for pay.
  15. I do not know if there are pay rooms. I never tried to find out. Usually, when I arrived at Paragonya, I quickly met a provider and reached an agreement. Out of habit, I always went to the "rooms" that are without cost. If there are "pay" rooms, I will try one on my next trip to Zurich. Yes, there is smoking allowed. However, there is no smoking allowed on the upper cruising level. There is a bar on the lower floor with a semi-restaurant along with a very nice sitting area near the bar. In that area, smoking is allowed yet smoking is not allowed in other parts of the sauna. To me, it seems silly, to say smoking is not allowed except in designated areas. Tell that to the smoke that floats through the air that can be smelled easily by those of us who do not smoke. The minor irritation of smoke does not out-weigh the fun that can be had with a provider in the sauna.
  16. Rather than taking a provider to an airbnb, if meeting with a guy in Brazil for only a sexual encounter, there are countless "hourly" hotels in Rio and Sao Paulo. The providers know where the "hourly" hotels are located. The hotels cost around $R20 per hour unless you rent the "hourly" room for a longer period of one hour.
  17. Depending on which part of the sauna, some providers go without clothes but mostly on the second level. The second floor is where the free rooms and showers and restrooms are located. It is not unusual to see a naked provider walking around on the second level. Most clients and providers wear at least a towel. On the first floor of the sauna, I have never seen anyone without clothes. In fact there is a sitting area where many clients sit and visit while wearing street clothes. On the floor where most agreements are reached, it is usually fairly dark and many providers are not timid about showing off what they have to offer. As to finding "cut" guys, there are some but many are not. You have to check for that while having a discussion of a possible get-together with a provider. https://www.paragonya.ch/preise and
  18. If it isn't broken, why fix it?
  19. You are correct, saunas in Brazil and Spain are not noted for assaults or robberies. Of my countless number of times in Brazil and Barcelona saunas, I never had or heard of any issue of assaults. I did have my locker robbed once in Brazil but that was not an act of violence.
  20. It seems you are enjoying Sao Paulo. Considering you ventured to the less popular sauna, Clube555, you also might want to venture to a different area of Sao Paulo that is safe during the day but without saunas - Centro. I recommend a "cine" on Rua Aurora near the corner of Av. Vieira de Carvalho. This location is less than two blocks from Praca da Republica where you can often find hustlers. However, be careful of meeting guys in the Praca because of the inherent danger and because of your lack of Portuguese. I do not recall the name of the cine but it is the only cine there. The cine is a couple of hundred feet (or less) from the intersection of Vieira de Carvalho on Rua Aurora. The cine is in the direction going away from Vieira de Carvalho on the left side of Aurora. It is hard to miss as it is the only cine business there and it has a long curtain blocking the street view into the cine. The curtain often blows into the sidewalk as you pass by. The entrance fee is minimal. There are usually a lot of garotos (hustlers) available in the cine. You can opt to do something with the garoto in the cine (in a booth) or you can agree to go to a nearby one-hour hotel for getting together. These garotos charge R$30 - R$40 reais in the cine or R$100 to R$150 in a nearby hotel. There are many nearby hourly hotels near the cine. Hotel London is but one hourly hotel I can think of, but there are many. Google shows the address of Hotel London. The cine and nearby hotels are cheap and seemingly clean. The hotels run around R$20 to R$25 per hour unless you engage the room for at least a half day. The above places (Cine and Praca) are worthwhile to check out to see if there are garotos you might like to entertain. To help you find the cine, below is a photo of the intersection near the cine. As you can see from the photo, both streets are identified. Just walk down Rua Aurora past the parking entrance until you come to the door with the long hanging curtain that often blows out onto the street. Here is the photo that should guide you to the cine:
  21. The $R65 entrance fee you paid is charged only because it was a Friday night. The entrance fees vary beginning from R$40, depending on the day of the week. The garoto who asked for $R800 and $R700 did that because he is greedy but mainly because he could tell you are not a Brazilian. The guys are there to make money. If he thought you did not know the ordinary rates, he would have taken advantage of you had you gone along with his excessive asking price. If you get bored with Lagoa, you might want to take an Uber to the other sauna in Sao Paulo (usually referred to as Fragata but its current name is -http://www.clube555.com.br/ I was there only once. It is an attractive sauna. I do not know the garoto rates because I did not engage anyone there. The place was not busy when I was there.

  23. That does happen every now and again (provider being aggressive about being paid in advance).
  24. Lagoa has rates from R$100 all the way to R$300 depending on how you negotiate with the garoto and the popularity of the garoto. Lagoa is located in a tightly fit building with several floors and lots of stairs (no elevator). Because the remodeling of the building, when it was converted to a sauna, did not include acoustic ceilings, conversational noise from people talking in the visiting rooms is rather distracting. Usually, while sitting at a table trying to have a conversation, it is necessary to shout or talk very loud to those you wish to communicate with. Other than the annoying stairs and lack of acoustic ceilings, the place is fun and often has some gorgeous and friendly garotos. Fragata, on the other hand, has lower rates for garotos although you will not find many garotos available. I was there a few weeks ago and found the facility attractive but the employees at check in and within the facility were not at all friendly. The place had about ten clients or maybe less and about five garotos that I could tell. It is possible there were garotos in the rooms that I did not see. The facility is in a very nice neighborhood. Although the neighborhood is mostly commercial, Fragata is located in an unusually attractive area of Sao Paulo. I went there only once. I did not find any garoto that I found interesting to me. I left the place after about two hours. On my next trip to Brazil, I have no plans to visit Fragata.
  25. The ad says he has been advertising going on two and one-third years. The ad has nearly fifty thousand views. The ad also has zero reviews and no face or body photos. Unusual to say the least.
