One conclusion I came to after teaching at a public high school for thirty-six (36) plus years was that I.Q. scores are largely bull shit.  Students differ widely in their ability to achieve success on standardized tests.  During my teaching years I constantly heard from colleagues that student "X" though under-performing in classes was brilliant because of his/her very high I.Q. score.  On the other hand student "y"  thought high-performing in his/her classes was achieving success in spite of his/her low I.Q. score only because he/she was a workaholic.  Whether one likes it or not the single best indicator of future academic success is current GPA.   One constantly hears the cry that high school GPA's have been ridiculously inflated.  That claim is likely true but it is equally true that a student with a high high school GPA will work to meet the necessary criteria to achieve a high or acceptable GPA and the college or university level.  Colleges and universities were and are perfectly aware of this fact yet they needed and continue to need a way to limit to number of students with outstanding GPAs for whom they have places  Thus along came and comes the use of the SAT which provides college and university admission officers with an additional tool to control (limit) the number of students they admit. 
The one serious mistake that we make by totally denying the importance of I.Q. is that by doing so we might assume that all people have equal ability in all thing -- simply not true.  Example: student "A" might require one year to achieve competence in Algebra while student "B" might require two or more years to achieve the same competence as student "A".  The question then becomes is it worth the two or more years for student "B" to achieve competence in Algebra or should he or she be directed elsewhere. 

Being an observer would definitely be quite nice...being a participant, however, would be much better! 😜😈🤣🤣

The Linc is incredible.  I like how they incorporated green energy with the wind turbines and solar panels.  
I think JFK's capacity got close to 100,000 when they included the field for concerts to accommodate the crowd.  I remember them estimating the crowd size close to that for Live Aid and the Grateful Dead. 

I'm almost certain, given a choice between this "Queen" and a blender, I'd rather put my dick in a blender!!! And I sure as hell don't plan on doin' either, so that should get the point across as to my personal regard for what "she's" reportedly offering. With that said...he may be living his best life, and has every right to! 
 
I rarely, comment on something like this in such a way, but this is ridiculous, and obviously this "provider," doesn't genuinely intend to meet a soul from the client realm. Seems the consensus here is he doesn't hafta worry about that! 
 
On topic, it's just the blurring of lines between promotion and the actual work. @jeezifonlysummed it up perfectly: Kardashian. And, yes, I have had a few of the Kardashians of RM send me messages. I ignore, and see it as a gift. I know they have no intentions of actually engaging, and it allows me to rule them out more quickly. Same when I see that OF/JFF is the lead on their ads. Good for them and best wishes, but I am moving on.

The cycle is not new -just media and means of instant money! Money paid to our providers from OF/JFF is payment for content, which as you know, rarely features guest stars from the client side of the tracks. That part, right there, is same as guys being filmed for loops or features (in the ‘70s- oughts)to be released for purchase or even in movie houses way back when)  They get to have sex they enjoy with equally hot guys - just like the studio vids - it wouldn’t pay much but the fame transferred from the VHS to the Frontiers ad and a phone call… now it’s direct links to them everywhere.
When the compensation from content meets their bills, they can raise fees for time of personal 1:1 meetups with the gentry…

I found myself in a similar situation back in the late 80's attending a U2 concert at the old JFK Stadium in Philly.   It was one of the last events at the venue, which was rapidly deteriorating.  They had standing room only festival/general admission on the field.  That stadium easily held 100,000 people in the bleachers and it was packed that night.  We were near the front but not quite there.  At some point the crowd started pushing forward and we moved with the crowd to avoid being injured.  Eventually, we made our way to the bleachers, climbed to the top row and watched the remainder of the concert from there.  From that vantage point we were able to see the people at the front getting pinned against the security railings.  I don't recall any serious injuries but there were some fists flying. 
Same as you, I have zero desire to be in the middle of that chaos, especially now as I <<<clears throat>>> approach middle age.

I read reviews of the Roomba and the biggest complaint seems to be that it has issues with dark carpet.  The sensors read dark areas as a negative space, which it's programmed to avoid.  People have developed hacks to get around it, but if I'm spending several hundred dollars on a vacuum, I shouldn't need to "hack" it for it to operate properly.

Right! It's a horrible feeling. I will never forget it. Don't plan to ever put myself in a similar circumstance again! 

And yeah. Shit show. Watch it on TV instead! There are WAY better ways to celebrate the changing of years.

Some years ago I found myself on the bank of the Thames River gazing over at the London Eye for their annual New Year's Eve countdown. Never again! Once was enough. Literally a million people so tightly packed. I was with a group of about 8 people. Once the new year had been rung in, the crowd began to empty out toward Charing Cross and Trafalgar's Square. We were absolutely helpless to determine our direction - like @Benjamin_Nicholas described as water being poured out. Our group clasped hands tightly to try to prevent being swept away and lost. People were pressing and pushing. Panicking. Had we tripped, we would have been trampled. I have never forgotten that feeling and how we had no choice but to flow with the crowd wherever it took us until eventually the "current" of humanity quit flowing as densely. 
 
So, as a result, I have no interest in such events where hundreds of thousands/millions convene. I will watch any future year be rung in from my living room, or a far less populated venue with plenty of space!!!
 
Devastating, horrific event at the Astrodome. Heartbreaking for those lost...ages 14 to 27, from what I read in one news article. Tragic, indeed.

So I decided to invite my 10 - 15 favorite providers of this year to a Christmas themed sex party in New York City to put on a live sex show and engage in other shenanigans for cash prizes. I’ve got substantial history with all of them so I think they’ll make it fun and lively. Working on figuring out the recording aspect, and how many spectators we can accommodate in the rented space. Ideas are welcomed. 
 
Its going to be competition / elimination style with the best (subjective) provider walking away with $5k. 2nd place $3k and the 3rd place guy will get $2k. I have to figure out how best to compensate the guys that don’t make the cuts to stay active and willing to participate as the night goes on.
