It was, in order, amateur arrangements from SA, pros from A4A, amateurs from A4A, and then local & traveling guys from RM/FB/MB and a couple of semi-pros from Doublelist. I particularly enjoyed spending evenings with: Arturo, Geo and Andy... mostly separately. I am wrapping up an 8-month stint of domestic travel and met lots of guys... about 3/wk... and all except one guy were at my hotel. Some nights the bed linens were spotless and barely ruffled and others they were pretty stained and wadded up on the floor. Fortunately the property’s app has an option for intra-stay “extra housekeeping”. I’m not sure what the staff thought about my habits but they never said anything. As for the one guy who I chose to incall, I discovered that he was much less inhibited when we were at his apartment. I never visited another hotel when traveling. I have only run I to other clients once - and it was a lousy experience anyway.

Ok... I finally got around to meeting Ethan. He’s a sweetheart, professional and an eager to please bottom. What’s the reason for the border scrutiny ? I understand non-Canadian citizens taking jobs that displaces Canadians and I understand a reasonable level of interest in deterring criminals but all of the above really seems over the top. Presumably Canada directly and indirectly derives tax revenue from tourism and this seems counterproductive. Why is this systematically done ?

Others have suggested that if you frequently cross the border that you purchase a cheap phone, load it with some bogus apps, mundane emails/texts, etc., and bury your primary phone in a checked bag.

Great examples. They all go to a client 1) already having a plan to meet rather than casual interest in someone, and, 2) understanding what is in the profile to see if it matches his interests... again back to being serious about meeting. I sometimes wonder what would happen if all photos were removed from profiles and companions had to write thorough profiles and clients had to read them. I think people see a picture and go “Oh... that’s hot. I want him” but fail to connect the dots in making a plan to meet.

I’ve been asked for deposits a couple of times and passed. I don’t like them for a couple of reasons: the loss of privacy incurred with some electronic money transfer channels and the potential of being scammed. It means I’ve missed the opportunity to meet two guys I wanted too. I consider that a lose/lose. Everyone makes their choices on this topic... and on sending face pics... and on requiring condoms for one or both roles... and on PnP.... etc. One perspective is that the potential cost of an provider’s wasted time is greater than the potential cost of a client’s loss of privacy and fraud. I’m pretty flexible and will do many things to make a meeting happen but that rationale doesn’t work for me. So, I’ve decided that I’m ok with being unable to meet deposit-requiring guys.
