I like the concept, but if I lived in a building engulfed with trees/shrubbery, I would want to be confident that maintenance was up-to-snuff to deal with such things as birds' nests, beehives and other possibilities.

My preference is for the second option, the manually operated, horizontal sliding book shelving (0:30). The options featuring swinging doors means losing all the space necessary for the door(s) to clear, and the power operated options are subject to mechanical and/or power failures. The other novelty options (beneath the floor, and poolside) are good conversation pieces but do not interest me in the practical sense.
