I wouldn't discount a provider based on one person's experience. There are so many things that could upset a client that might never apply to another situation. Asking for money upfront is a turn-off, but if the other attributes outweigh it...just my opinion, of course.

A 1994 short film, available on You Tube, about a 13-year old boy coming to terms with being gay is now set for a fall opening off-Broadway at the 42d Street Theater. The 1994 movie led to the creation of the Trevor Project in 1998. The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. I am not sure that I want to watch a musical(!) with a 13-year old star. But I will look to the reviews when it opens on November 10th. (Note to moderators: If discussing a theater production starring a 13-year old violates rules here, please delete my thread. )

There is an interesting review in today's NY Times on a book about trans issues: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/07/books/review/trans-helen-joyce.html It covers so many issues and controversies. I find myself deciding that women who have a penis should not attend all-female saunas. But that I am even thinking about this issue is a revelation! Recently a Los Angeles times columnist shared that opinion, but described "trans" as being a choice. I think is an acceptance of an innate identity. What I didn't know before reading the review is that most cases of gender dysphoria resolve themselves as a person grows older. The author of the book also agrees that women with penises should avoid things like female saunas, and she argues credibly, imo.

Palm Springs weather has cooled considerably. So it's a good time for a visit!

I have confidence in @RadioRob. It's just that we, as members, saved this site by our almost unanimous willingness to keep it alive. I thought that going forward, there would be less Daddy style management and more member consensus. I know we never are unanimous, but we showed a clear intent and result when the fate of the site was not looking so good. I have no doubts about the moderators here. I can't discuss their actions, but I can state that I support them and appreciate them, along with @RadioRobBasically I am just saying that consulting the members before making site decisions is a good idea.

Any recent info on @Mikegaite? He is currently in Palm Springs and the comments here, old as they are, are pretty favorable.

There was a time when I believed that a consensus developed my members of the forum set the stakes for the future of the site. In other words, the members decided, not one man. This of course was when the site appeared to be dying after Daddy's death and the members showed the resolve to keep it going.
