Well, Lukas may not have escorted, but I have a picture of myself with my arm around him. We are both smiling big. He was warm and gracious. No wonder I can't find my bill. I went paperless some time ago. Anyway, this month I have used 134 minutes and 224 messages. I have 1% of my data left with ten days to go in the cycle. That's 1.26MB. The talk and text is unlimited. So the data must be coming from the apps. When this problem first appeared, I actually called Verizon and was advised to make sure my wi-fi was always connected. My phone is supposed to automatically reconnect to the home wi-fi when I return home. Outside of the home, I often check the wi-fi status and sign in where appropriate. The allowed data, apparently 500MB a month, used to last with no problem. When I was traveling, I can see where I would not always be on wi-fi, but the fact is I use only a few apps. But everybody wants you to download their app these days. I notice that 18% of my data goes to video. I don't use much video! Web and Apps are 42%. Maps an Navigation are 16%. My monthly bill for two lines is $55 plus $20 in service charges, so $75 a month. I'm all ears...

I finished reading my ARC of The Shards. At 600 pages long I think Ellis asks a lot of the reader. It's especially slow at the beginning. But once he had me in the soap opera of Buckley High I was hooked. Ellis writes well about sex. His character masturbates each day if he is not having actual sex, and most of the characters are horny too. But it's better than just a sex novel. Give it a try! The publication date is in January 2023.
