  1. Ye should come....forward!
  2. Remember when this thread was about hotel prices?
  3. The Washington Post today debunks the story: But Ladapo’s recommendation — extrapolated from a short state analysis that has not been peer-reviewed, carries no authors and warns that its findings are “preliminary” and “should be interpreted with caution” — was swiftly condemned by medical and public health leaders, who said the Florida surgeon general’s announcement was politics masquerading as science and could lead Americans to forgo lifesaving interventions. More than a dozen experts interviewed by The Washington Post — including specialists in vaccines, patient safety and study design — listed concerns with Florida’s analysis, saying it relies on information gleaned from frequently inaccurate death certificates rather than medical records, skews the results by trying to exclude anyone with covid-19 or a covid-related death, and draws conclusions from a total of 20 cardiac-related deaths in men 18 to 39 that occurred within four weeks of vaccination. Experts noted the deaths might have been caused by other factors, including underlying illnesses or undetected covid. “We’re talking about a very small number of deaths. An extra death or two would potentially change these results,” said Robert Wachter, chair of the department of medicine at the University of California at San Francisco and co-author of a patient-safety textbook used in many medical schools. “I’m hesitant to even call it a paper; it isn’t published anywhere. The idea that [the analysis] … is being used to change policy — it does not have the scientific chops to do that.” “If you submitted that to a peer-reviewed journal, unless you were paying them to publish it, it would get rejected,” added Daniel Salmon, who leads the Institute of Vaccine Safety at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. “Putting out half-baked reports from a department of health is a dangerous thing to do.” Twitter briefly removed Ladapo’s post touting the study over the weekend, citing it as misinformation, before restoring it hours later; the tweet has since been shared more than 50,000 times, cheered by anti-vaccine advocates and amplified by conservative media highlighting Ladapo’s claim that his state will “not be silent on the truth.” Link:https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/10/11/florida-surgeon-general-ladapo-covid-vaccines/ Also: https://www.politico.com/news/2022/10/11/medical-experts-reject-florida-surgeon-generals-covid-vaccine-guidance-00061352 The firestorm has put a spotlight on Ladapo, a Harvard-trained physician and researcher who had not specialized in infectious disease but rose to prominence after writing a number of op-eds in the Wall Street Journal questioning coronavirus vaccines, mask-wearing and other interventions. The columns caught the attention of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who late last summer offered Ladapo the job of overseeing a roughly 15,000-person health department in the nation’s third-most-populous state.
  4. I see that. It is now just called Gotham.
  5. I thought that Reno's rimming skills were pretty bad. He seems more into himself.
  6. The study above itself lists many limitations on its credibility: Discussion/Conclusion In this statewide study of vaccinated Florida residents aged 18 years or older, COVID-vaccination was not associated with an elevated risk for all-cause mortality. COVID-19 vaccination was associated with a modestly increased risk for cardiac-related mortality 28 days following vaccination. Results from the stratified analysis for cardiac-related death following vaccination suggests mRNA vaccination may be driving the increased risk in males, especially among males aged 18 - 39. Risk for both all-cause and cardiac-related deaths was substantially higher 28 days following COVID-19 infection. The risk associated with mRNA vaccination should be weighed against the risk associated with COVID-19 infection. Limitations These data are preliminary, based on surveillance data, and should be interpreted with caution. The results have several limitations: While this method has been used to assess risk of death following COVID-19 vaccination,2 it violates the assumption that an event does not affect subsequent exposure (for mRNA vaccines), which may introduce bias.6 Further, it does not consider the multidose vaccination schedule required for mRNA vaccination. This study cannot determine the causative nature of a participant’s death. We used death certificate data and not medical records. COVID testing status was unknown for those who did not die of/with COVID. Cardiac-related deaths were ascertained if an ACME code of I3-I52 were on their death certificate, thus, the underlying cause of death may not be cardiac-related. The finding that the Janssen vaccine was more protective than mRNA vaccine against mortality within 28 days of vaccination could be due to confounding and needs to be further evaluated. It is likely that the populations who received COVID-19 mRNA vaccine and the Johnson vaccine are different, something we were not able to ascertain in this analysis. It is possible that the population who received the Johnson vaccine was younger and healthier than those receiving the mRNA vaccines. The Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines were released more than 2 months earlier than the Janssen vaccine when the recommendations were limited to those 65 and older. Additional studies should be conducted to further understand the risks and benefits of vaccination of males between 25-39. Increased risk in the primary analysis for the 25 - 39 age group was based on a small sample size. Additionally, significant mortality from diagnosed COVID-19 infection occurred among all adult age groups. COVID-19 mortality among asymptomatic or undiagnosed COVID-19 infection is less clear. However, excess overall mortality among 25–44-year-old Americans was significant in a study1 looking at mortality from January 2020-October 2020. The largest increases were among Hispanic and Latino. It is unclear what the contribution of asymptomatic or undiagnosed COVID-19 infection is to mortality risk, and how this contributes to excess mortality. 1 https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6942e2.htm Confounding by age may be present in the 60 years or older age group, which may explain the slight elevated risk for cardiac-related deaths following vaccination. This may also explain the increased risk for the entire vaccination analysis group for cardiac-related deaths since this group comprises the vast majority of deaths. Removing those aged 60 years or older yielded non-significant results for cardiac- related deaths following vaccination (RI = 1.15, 95% CI = 0.99 - 1.34), mRNA vaccination (RI = 1.17, 95% CI = 1.00 - 1.37), and males with mRNA vaccination (RI = 1.09, 95% CI = 0.89 - 1.34). Lastly, this analysis was conducted during the first months the vaccines were available. Both COVID-19 mortality due to infection or risk of mortality associated with vaccination have likely changed over time. In the fall of 2022, most people have either been vaccinated or have natural immunity to COVID-19. Many have had multiple vaccine doses, multiple infections or both. Research to assess the current risks and benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine to help update vaccine recommendations should be studied in this context.
  7. Dr. Lapado doesn't think the vaccines are effective either: June 3, 2022 – Ron DeSantis Official: Surgeon General Dr. Ladapo: Let Them Compete re Special Olympics International vaccine mandate – WATCH “Scientifically it makes no sense…How can you force people to take a vaccine in order to stop transmission, when that vaccine is not effective at stopping transmission?“…”You don’t have to go to medical school to know that doesn’t make sense“ “At this point…there’s basically zero protection from infection from the vaccines” [scientifically and ethically it didn’t make sense] Dr Lapado He is a DeSantis lackey: “Being able to work with Governor DeSantis on what is very clearly the issue of my lifetime in terms of incredible challenge or sort of battle we have between individual rights and individual choice and truth on one side, and really sort of overarching powers, overarching government abusive powers, abusive data dishonesty, and frankly, a lot of unethical behavior on the other side.” Dr. Joseph Ladapo – EXCERPT2 He oppposed the experts on COVID: “Obviously it’s proven to be true, these people [the Coronavirus Task Force, “15 days to flatten the curve”, public health “experts”] had no idea what they were talking about“…”One thing that’s very important at this point is to not let these people get away with it… the people that have led us to the point that we are, they want us to forget why/how we got here and they want us to forget that their choices, that they made for everyone, were the wrong choices that basically led to NO appreciable benefit.” We cannot let them forget, we have to hold them accountable, we have to… let our country…let the world know what the truth is, because it’s the right thing to do and because it can happen again if we don’t. 8. I found a thread on TierryRichardy (sic) but it is from 2019. There were questions about the accuracy of his pix. It was mentioned that his English was almost nonexistent and he did not kiss. The reason I post this is to see if there is any new information as he continues to list on Rentmen and does look good. https://rentmen.eu/TierryRichardy
  9. Perhaps they can use the edit function to change this.
  10. What did you decide @MikeBiDude?

    Bros (2022)

Hubby and I took in a matinee today of Bros. Were it not for Luke Macfarlane, I would have walked out. The Eichner character is way too obnoxious, but hubby points out that he is like a lot of New Yorkers. Macfarlane is very appealing. We didn't hear many laughs from the other three people in the audience.
  12. Christian Walker's legs should please you! He's got great eyes too!
  13. Speaking of rising hotel prices, I have been monitoring New York City for awhile. When I began, prices were reasonable, but I didn't commit. Then they went up, so i waited for them to go down. Sad to say, now many hotels are unavailable or priced extremely high. Sure, there are some cheaper ones, but I don't want to stay in them. To meet the budget I had established, I finally booked a place in...Long Island City! That's a first for me, but I once lived in Forest Hills so know the drill. Will I regret this booking?
  14. I'm thinking of leaving a million dollars to the one escort who pleases me the most. There are currently only a few candidates, so I am available to escorts who think they might qualify. Fine print: Offer contingent on me coming into a million dollars! Male escorts only.

    Bros (2022)

You weren't there, so don't challenge my remarks based upon some statistical analysis that falls flat when you realize the theater was in LA. Lots of gays showed up. Is there any limit to your bigotry?
  16. We all know that many here are very generous to escorts. I am curious if you have named one or more to inherit from you and perhaps why. If not yet, will you name an escort the next time you update your will? Can escorts share how many times they have received a bequest from a deceased client?

A friend in LA saw it this weekend and said the packed house laughed throughout the movie. He recommended it to me.
  18. The stellar reviews for the new Broadway play Cost of Living sure got my interest. Unfortunately it is scheduled only for October. I'd be interested in hearing how any of you thought after seeing it. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/03/theater/cost-of-living-review.html https://nypost.com/2022/10/03/cost-of-living-broadway-review-a-gripping-unexpected-drama/ https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2022/oct/03/cost-of-living-broadway-samuel-j-friedman-theater-new-york https://www.manhattantheatreclub.com/shows/2022-23-season/cost-of-living/
  19. There is a main thread on the PS Weekend, which I was hoping the OP would read and there would be no need for yet another PS Weekend thread. There should be a focus somewhere.
  20. Another escort who smokes. PNP too.
  21. I like his cap. I have the same one!
  22. Shouldn't we be grateful for that? Those of us resisting sugar are!
  23. Of course we can't dump The Lounge. Where else could I ask an important question like "Have You Ever Made An Escort Cry?" It's not just fewer posts in The Lounge, it's the decline in the intelligence of the posts. That's my opinion. As for the Politics Forum, I get so edified by the rational and sane arguments. Who can resist?
  24. Not much to hide? Hmm...
