  1. @Lazarus, I am as perplexed as you!
  2. @big dale, it's a stereotype that old Asians are toothless. I didn't say it was offensive to my husband, he doesn't read the message board. But having a Chinese husband does make me think on posts like these. If I overreacted, it's Ludo who deserves my apology.
  3. @Ludo My husband is Asian, so I did not take to your description of the Asian man. If he really was totally toothless, then I withdraw my negative remark.
  4. Then there were the street fairs on Castro and Folsom, with the later having lots of nudity. Halloween on Castro was also great fun. I remember going up to a cute young guy and asking him if it was difficult to go through life being so beautiful. He snickered and left me drooling!
  5. So many times read or hear someone saying that they really need to get those papers done, and sometimes they actually do. For years I went to Acapulco every January. The last time one of the guys said these very things. He seemed determined. But six days later he died without having made the changes he wanted. Moral of the story: Do those papers now! You can get forms from a variety of organizations or even with a google search. Then, tell someone you have them.
  6. The theater in San Francisco was the Nob Hill. It was just an okay place, and eventually the quality of the dancers went down. Some of them were very lazy. But when I moved to San Francisco, the Ritch Street Baths and the one on Eighth Street were thriving and loads of fun. Polk Street was also doing well, with guys selling themselves on the sidewalks. There were good bars and restaurants on Polk Street as well. It was fun to go out for a meal and enjoy the scenery on the street. Later there was Blow Buddies on Harrison. It was designed with the name in mind! The Bay Area Reporter had pages of escort/masseur ads.
  7. Did I not say that I think it was the fly traps drawing in the flies? Our doors do not have screens. With dogs going in and out, that doesn't help. But the fly situation today is quite good, so I can't blame the dogs!
  8. For all we know, Daddy has all of the legal papers drawn up and sitting in a folder somewhere in his apartment. But none of us can enter. At some point, there will be an effort by the hospital or a court-appointed guardian to discover if those papers exist. But it is out of our control, and, as someone above mentioned, not really our business. We can only wish him well.
  9. @Lazarus is one of my favorite posters. Do not try to misuse what I say. Nowhere have I supported personal attacks, even ones against you.
  10. My fly problem appears to be over. I suspected that the fly traps were actually increasing the number of flies what with that aroma they have. So I threw all of them away. Result: Only one fly today, so I let him live.
  11. @marylander1940 Everyone of us wishes for the best in the message center. When we feel something is wrong in terms of choice of words to describe women, it is an obligation to speak up. That's not policing others, it's supporting a positive message center. What do you think women who see that word then feel about posting here?
  12. There you go again! You support words like skank and oppose the one calling for its use to be stopped. What is it about the word that you love so much?
  13. Really? Wow. Does it hurt?
  14. Don't be sorry! I haven't seen anything else on the topic.
  15. I'd rather focus on you claiming to know things you don't know.
  16. Wow! This post took time, then?
  17. @marylander1940 disliked my post about the use of the word "skank." It doesn't surprise me.
  18. Perhaps the OP can tell us what his experience was...
  19. The battery has an expected life of one year. If it saves me the hassle I had with my car key just once it is worth the money!
  20. @Lazarus I think "skank" is an unfortunate choice of words you could have used. We do want women posting here, don't we? Referring to women as such is not inviting. Just my opinion, of course.
  21. I think Mario has had a lot of work done on his face.
  22. Yesterday I could not find my car key. I knew that it was in the car because the car would start. But I could not lock it. My husband and I tore the car appart looking for it. My car dealer is nearby, so I went there. The agent became frustrated too as he could not find it. Finally, he lifted the passenger seat and it dropped out. It was stuck, not under, but in the bottom of the seat. So I went to Amazon and bought a package of Tile tracking devices. There were 4 in the pack, so I have one attached to my key chain, one to the husband's keys, and one to our dog. Using the phone app, I can get each tracker to beep. I don't know what it does if the Tile is a couple of blocks away. Anyone else tracking things?

    Dane Scott

The gym has been closed due to the pandemic, but I used to see Dane Scott frequently working out there. He is in great shape!
