Did some research, hoping to find that one could get cold sores only if the receiver has a break in the skin while swapping spit with a carrier with an active sore. It's my birthday, and I logged in to post on this topic, only to find this thread already started.  I totally resonate with the comments here.  Have been a conscientious public health warrior, staying home, working from home, with boring but good results.  Haven't even had a cold or flu for 2 years now, which is how long its been since I've scheduled an adventure with anyone offering fun.
