  1. Don't search a full URL. Just enter the last part of the username. For example, don't search for: https://rentmasseur.com/Nickshands Instead just search for: Nickshands You'll get more accurate results as you'll find results that have ANY (or no URL) included with it. https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?&q=Nickshands You'll notice in the above example, only the first result would have matched the full URL. You would have missed the other two results which did not have the full address.
  2. What are you exactly searching for?
  3. BJ Roosters is my go to bar when I’m down in ATL even before they moved to their current location. However Swinging Richards is a destination in of itself… Very few places are “their former glory”, especially right now. All we can hope is that better days are ahead and that we don’t lose the few clubs of this type that we have left.
  4. Just to add my two cents as well… THANK YOU to everyone in the community that contributed to helping with Daddy’s funeral and closing of his estate. It’s situations like this that shows “it takes a village”. I also want to take a moment to thank @Orin, Deb and the rest of “Team Washington” for all of their help. Without them we would literally not be here today. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated by us all and we will forever be indebted to you. While we can never PROPERLY show our gratitude, the least we can do is pick up the tab for a nice dinner. I’ll be making arrangements with Orin to make this happen once things settle down for Team Washington. As noted by Jack, Team Washington is in the process of sending unused funds to support additional ongoing costs for the site. This will take care of our immediate future and take off urgent pressure financially. To support our long term needs, we’re buttoning up some plans to make it easier to support the site going forward. We will continue to provide a way for people to send cash/checks/money orders via snail mail. In addition, we will be introducing the ability to contribute online via credit card or ACH. Part of the reason for the amount of time it’s taken to roll this out is to make sure it’s done in a SECURE fashion. Some of you might know my day job involves helping with managing cyber security for several east coast banks, so protection of data is of paramount importance and being designed in a way to minimize what info we actually collect/process. For example, part of my testing now actually involves processing card payments without collecting a physical address. This has slightly more risk, but I’m mitigating that by limiting those transactions to existing members only that have had an account active for XX time. I’m also looking at supporting recurring subscriptions for those that would like an easy way to kick in a couple of bucks on a recurring basis. More details to come on all of this most likely at the end of this week or early next. The loss of Daddy was heart breaking and very difficult for all of us. However at the end of the day, this community has come away stronger than it started. I’m optimistic we can continue to foster the sense of good will and support that has been shown and continue writing another twenty plus years of history together.
  5. I’ve been in FLL and Wilton Manor much of the last week for my birthday and have had a blast. The area is in fine form.
  6. I personally love a manicure. I also have a clear coat gel on my nails as I love the look. I don’t use a color for my nails, but I have zero problems with those that do. To me, it’s just one more sign of someone who takes care of themselves. I would rather see a little color on their nails than a set of nails that are not well maintained that look like they just chew at the tips or not take care of them at all.
  7. Per request from the OP, I’m locking this thread. I was originally going to hide the thread, but I did not want anyone to wonder why the thread disappeared.
  8. I saw him last year (this would be my 3rd time seeing him over the last 3 years or so). Still looks like his pictures and enjoyed myself enough to see him multiple times. 🙂
  9. In the future, feel free to report the post and a moderator can edit a post. I’ve updated the topic title.
  10. I’m glad it’s starting to work for you. Like I suspected, it’s something unique in your configuration. I’m not sure if your router is caching some requests or if using a different browser triggered something with your ISP to update. However at the end of the day it does not really matter if it’s working. 🙂 Hopefully everything will stay stable for you.
  11. This error code specifically relates to CSRF protection saying the expected security hash does not match what was presented by your browser. There are a couple of things that I can think of that would cause this: 1. A bad browser session cookie. One way to test this would be to use a different browser like Chrome or Firefox and seeing if it happens when using a different browser. If not, it’s something browser specific and if it only happens in that browser, I would start by clearing cookies and temporary internet files. 2. You’re using some sort of ad blocker or something that intercepts requests to modify them. If this is the case try disabling it temporarily to see if it fixes the problem. I have not seen any other complaints regarding CSRF errors so I’m pretty confident this is not a widespread server issue. The question is what is unique about how you’re accessing the site that is causing your problem.
  12. This is done by design by IPB. I don't remember how Xenforo worked, but it was intentional to have sub-forums not marked read. By the way... if you want to see unread topics within a specific area, you can create a stream which will show that. https://www.companyofmen.org/discover/?do=create
  13. @Traveler North was added to RIP group.
  14. They have to be manually set unfortunately. There is nothing the forums themselves can key off of to know someone is deceased. I’ve manually put Guy Fawkes in the group. He put most everyone else in that group. If there are others that should be included, just let me know. I’ve just added @bigvalboyto the group.
  15. If you go to Search, you have to choose the Member tab. From there, you can select member group. Here’s a link to the search results for just the RIP member group: https://www.companyofmen.org/search/?&type=core_members&joinedDate=any&group[9]=1
  16. If someone did manage to login to a RIP or Banned account, they would actually see LESS than guests that are not logged in. Guests can see most forums here but can’t post. The RIP and Banned groups actually don’t see ANY forum. Private Messages and all other site features are disabled.
  17. We actually have a member group for deceased members called “RIP”.
  18. Content does not include reactions. It’s a forum topic or post, an article if enabled, a gallery image, a review once it’s actually ready, a club post/image, or a file download if we were making use of that feature (which we are not). Think of it as something new/unique. Regarding why someone signs up without actually posting, on many sites guests cannot see many areas of the site. It’s limited only to those who register and have a valid user account. The Birthday tool does not differentiate between member groups. There is no actual “inactive” status. Any group would be included. I can prune the member database and delete members who have not signed in over XX days/years. Since I started looking, I’ve found a way of deleting accounts and just making Tanya content posted appear with the original name even though there is no actual account/profile. Like I said earlier… nothing is “impossible”. The question is making sure whatever I do does not cause more problems than it fixes and making sure I understand the full impact of the change. I can’t just make a knee jerk changes unfortunately.
  19. So I ran a few queries on the database... there are approximately 1700 accounts that have a "0" content count. Now if I further filter that list to remove accounts that have signed up within the last year, that number falls to 358. As a separate query, I looked at accounts that have not logged into the site for the last 12 months. There were 3,978 that have not logged in since this date in 2020. 68 of those accounts have not logged in for the last year have a 0 content count.
  20. What are we actually trying to accomplish here? The original post was around requesting removing inactive members so they don't show up in the member list and the birthday list. While I could create a new member group called "inactive", and move members into it that have not been active for more than X years... it would not prevent them from showing in the member list because they would still actually be a member (just in a different group).
  21. I can certainly prune inactive members and remove their accounts. IPB makes it pretty easy to do... most likely only about 15 minutes worth of work to be honest. However there would be a few issues that I would have to address: How far back do I go? Anyone not active in the last 5 years? If I do this, it will delete accounts such as Hooboy and others that were critical to the founding of the site even if they're not active anymore. Is that something we as a community are willing to accept? What do we do with content posted by people who are no longer members? Does that get deleted also? Does it get linked to a profile that does not exist? What happens if the person decides to come back? Those are just a couple of questions that come up off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others that will come up along the way. Nothing here is impossible to address, but this is also not something I would do without more heavily considering the impact.
  22. My tech updates can’t compete with this!
