I **HIGHLY** recommend against hiring or interacting with JesTwink. I have not hired him, but: He's harassed multiple members of this site begging them to remove any discussion of him. He's created more than a dozen accounts to contact people who have blocked him or ignored him. He's submitted DOZENS of reports for various reasons (ranging from DMCA to harassment to stalking) in an effort to get content removed. He's sent dozens of emails/contact us messages threatening the site with legal action. At the end of the day, he's batshit crazy and if he will do these kinds of things... he's most likely not going to respect your privacy and will have no problem continuing to bother/harass you afterwards if he does not get his way or disagrees with what you might say. Save yourself the headache and the harassment and avoid him.

The size of the site’s text has not changed at all since its launch. So something must be happening in the browser here. You mention Safari... Are you using a mobile device or a laptop/desktop? The site supports responsive resizing of text. If I know what device you’re using, I can give you instructions for how to tell your browser to make the text here bigger. (It unfortunately does not work in real life with making “other” things bigger.)

It means we've disabled sending emails to you because your mail provider either bounced or rejected prior messages. (You most likely received a PM and have your settings configured to send you an email notification of new PMs. If those messages bounce, we quit delivering them to protect the site from getting all email to the mail provider disabled.)

I happened to pop by last night. Business as usual. As a side note... if you park there, don't park behind the building to the side of the club or block doors, etc. The owners are starting to have cars towed. There is a sign suggesting to park along 13th St instead.

Then it's definitely a browser cache issue. If it's happening intermittently that a refresh eventually clears, it's something local.

If the site ever looks crazy... the first thing to try is clearing the browser cache. If it continues happening, it's possible something is funky at the CDN cache layer. Just toss a note to me and I can clear it by rebuilding the site theme. It works because it renames all of the files used to something else so even if it's incorrect, the new file name would be retrieved fresh.

It looks like Invision made some changes to the way static files are cached. I've rebuilt the dark mode theme and that seems to have cleared up the problem.

Tracking info such as IP address exist as long as the account exists. If an account is deleted, the associated information is deleted as well. If we deleted content after a certain number of years, it would remove decades of history of the site. I'm not really interested/prepared to do this. Regardless, it's not really relevant to this topic. That would be better discussed in the feedback forum.

Yes, he and I talked about this. Yes, this was his choice and not related to anything that happened here. I wish him the best with whatever he decides to pursue in life and would welcome him back should he ever decide to return. The account itself deleted. Content posted by that account is not deleted but instead attributed as a Guest. Otherwise it could remove entire topics or could make conversations no longer make sense. The preferred way to request account deletion is from within your account settings. https://www.companyofmen.org/settings/account-security/ This workflow makes you enter your account password and validates it is actually you who submitted the request. Once a request is submitted, it is reviewed by an admin (me) first. Basically I just click the approve button to complete the process. Typically if it's someone who has a lot of contributions here, I'll reach out to confirm that person understands that when I accept it, there is no undo button and it is final as the only way for me to recover the account would be to restore the complete site from a backup prior to the deletion.

It basically allows you to skip paying the house fee to do a private dance for the year. You still pay the dancer per song, but no separate fee to go back during the period.

On hold pending the forum software we use (Invision Community) releasing version 5.0. The 5.0 architecture literally changes the entire codebase and all modifications/plugins/applications won't work in the new version. I don't want to have to do everything all over again so I'm waiting for the new version.

And we're done here. If the bull crap continues, some folks will be taking a vacation. I would highly recommend some folks take a valium.
