  1. Yeah... I'm pretty south of where the major part is supposed to be. The biggest worry around here is honestly flooding. With all of the rain we had last week and the anticipated inbound rain, it's most likely going to be the biggest problem.
  2. Moderators cannot do this. Admins technically can do it from the database but it’s a pain in the neck. Unless a PM is reported to us for some reason, we don’t see/care about private messages. Most likely the person who sent it in the first place deleted their message.
  3. I received both my flu and updated covid shot yesterday at my local CVS in Wilton Manors. I was in and out in 10 minutes and have a $5 off CVS coupon to boot. No issues outside of the normal soreness at the injection site. I rolled over in the middle of the night and rolled right back over a second later when my arm said "NOPE! Not tonight... Not in the mood honey."
  4. I'm going to add my two cents here... this site has always operated under the premise that we are gentlemen. I expect us to behave as such. This site welcomes various and diverse view points, but at the same time we expect people to be respectful and to act as adults. If you can't express yourself as a gentleman, don't be surprised if you find yourself on a timeout from the site.
  5. As someone who lived in DC for a long time, his ad comes and goes. He's been around for several years and seems to do this as a side hustle for a bit and then gone for awhile. I did reach out to him, but he started ignoring my messages while we were planning a date/time. So I can’t comment beyond that.
  6. I met him a year or so ago in DC. Photos were accurate and we had a good time. I would see him again.
  7. As many of you might know, I moved from the Washington DC metro area down to Wilton Manors, FL earlier this year. As a result, I had to change our site's PO Box. If you need to send anything, please use the following address instead of the old Alexandria, VA one: The Company of Men C/O RadioRob Enterprises 3296 N Federal Hwy #11104 Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33306 We generally don't get a lot of physical mail, but some use it so I'm going to continue supporting it. I signed up for Informed Delivery for the box, but I don't know how well it works... as a result, if you send something drop me a note so I know to make a trip to go check it! I have updated the various places on the site that I know that reference it including the site footer, the privacy policy, email footer, and the offline checkout option in the online store. If there is anywhere else I missed, feel free to make fun of me and I'll correct it. Thanks!
  8. Happy Birthday!!
  9. Enough is enough.
  10. The legacy site is running on a small AWS instance. Apparently the mySQL database service stopped on it. I rebooted the server and it looks like it’s working again.
  11. IP addresses in the modern day is basically useless as something to block on. With the existence of VPN and mobile devices, someone can literally switch IP addresses almost on demand. I have a few other tricks that I use with device ID tracking, but that can be worked around when someone has say for example a laptop, a cell phone, a tablet, and other devices (not to mention having multiple browsers on those devices). I block a LOT of bad stuff, but someone who is determined to bypass can almost always find a way. We've caught several people previously banned try and come back and detect them from how/what they post, etc. That kind of thing can't unfortunately be automated without also blocking other legitimate users along the way.
  12. Alright... there have been more than enough post violations in this thread. Pizza is served.
  13. Wilton Manors is now home for me. So it’s been fun to poke over through the various bars in the area. But the bank teller looks at me a little oddly when I come in for $500 in $1’s from time to time. Haha I was at Johnson’s last weekend with a friend that normally does not like the place (he is much more into smaller twink guys) and even he had fun.
  14. It happens from time to time. There is not a specific rule against people having multiple accounts on the site or for not "pretending" to be someone. With that being said, there are times the actions taken can result in action being taken against an account. For example, I remember a situation last year where a provider created a dozen accounts to promote/protect themselves and spammed the forums. At the end of the day, there is no FOOL PROOF way of proving someone is a provider or not. So the short answer is IT DEPENDS. How bad was the actions taken by the provider? What proof is available? How problematic is the person being? If you feel someone is disrupting the site, feel free to report the post. You can also bring it up in the Ask a Moderator forum.
  15. Thank you all! Friends took me out to dinner and will be spending the night on Wilton Drive along with trips to Johnson’s and LeBoy. Then on Monday I’m off to the Caribbean for a 5 day cruise.
  16. There is not a "ban from topic" feature. The only way to do this would be to turn on post approval for a specific topic which would mean any replies in that topic would need to be approved by a moderator by anyone.
  17. This account was part of 3 others reporting content in this and other similar threads that have been banned.
  18. This was hidden because someone created multiple accounts to trigger automated moderation. The person responsible and the accounts they created have been banned from the site.
  19. The site search is “location aware”. Meaning it will try to search within the specific area you are in. If you are viewing a topic, the default is to search that topic. Or if in a forum… to search inside of only that forum. Make sure you change the context to “everywhere” if you want to search the full site. You’ll find the context directly to the right of the box to enter your search term.
  20. Published by GB News A group of professional footballers from Germany will reportedly come out as gay next month before the final weekend of the season. According to German outlet Preussische Allgemeine Zeitung, the players will collectively come out as gay on May 17. The date is significant as it's also the International Day Against Homophobia. The move is part of an initiative in Germany in an attempt to encourage players and others working in football to come out. All clubs involved are said to have been made aware of the imminent announcement. However, the report adds that there are still some players who have… Read More View the full article
  21. Published by Q Magazine Billie Eilish's career has been a striking success story, but it doesn't seem like the spotlight has had a positive impact on her mental health. The singer sat down for an extensive interview with Rolling Stone ahead of her new album Hit Me Hard and Soft, which is due out on Friday, May 17. The article includes a brief entry from Eilish's personal journal which says, “I know I'm lucky/But I'm so unhappy.” The feeling is not a new one for her. “My whole life, I've never been a happy person,” Eilish told the outlet. “I've been a joyous person, but not a happy person. I experience joy and laughte… Read More View the full article
  22. Published by BANG Showbiz English Sophia Bush's girlfriend is “proud” the actress has opened up about her journey to coming out as queer. 23. Published by The New Arab Iraq's parliament passed a law criminalising same-sex relationships with a maximum 15-year prison sentence on Saturday, in a move it said aimed to uphold religious values but was condemned by rights advocates as the latest attack on the LGBT community in Iraq. The law aims to “protect Iraqi society from moral depravity and the calls for homosexuality that have overtaken the world,” according to a copy of the law seen by news agency Reuters. It was backed mainly by conservative Shi'ite Muslim parties who form the largest coalition in mainly Muslim Iraq's parliament. The Law on Combating Prostit… Read More View the full article
