Then it's definitely a browser cache issue. If it's happening intermittently that a refresh eventually clears, it's something local.
-
If the site ever looks crazy... the first thing to try is clearing the browser cache. If it continues happening, it's possible something is funky at the CDN cache layer. Just toss a note to me and I can clear it by rebuilding the site theme. It works because it renames all of the files used to something else so even if it's incorrect, the new file name would be retrieved fresh.

It looks like Invision made some changes to the way static files are cached. I've rebuilt the dark mode theme and that seems to have cleared up the problem.

Tracking info such as IP address exist as long as the account exists. If an account is deleted, the associated information is deleted as well. If we deleted content after a certain number of years, it would remove decades of history of the site. I'm not really interested/prepared to do this. Regardless, it's not really relevant to this topic. That would be better discussed in the feedback forum.

As a reminder, personal health info is not an appropriate discussion on a public forum.

Yes, he and I talked about this. Yes, this was his choice and not related to anything that happened here. I wish him the best with whatever he decides to pursue in life and would welcome him back should he ever decide to return. The account itself deleted. Content posted by that account is not deleted but instead attributed as a Guest. Otherwise it could remove entire topics or could make conversations no longer make sense. The preferred way to request account deletion is from within your account settings. https://www.companyofmen.org/settings/account-security/ This workflow makes you enter your account password and validates it is actually you who submitted the request. Once a request is submitted, it is reviewed by an admin (me) first. Basically I just click the approve button to complete the process. Typically if it's someone who has a lot of contributions here, I'll reach out to confirm that person understands that when I accept it, there is no undo button and it is final as the only way for me to recover the account would be to restore the complete site from a backup prior to the deletion.

Ok. This topic has run its course.

I believe so. (I have a VIP as I live in Wilton now so I have not had to pay the house fee since moving here.)
-
It basically allows you to skip paying the house fee to do a private dance for the year. You still pay the dancer per song, but no separate fee to go back during the period.

On hold pending the forum software we use (Invision Community) releasing version 5.0. The 5.0 architecture literally changes the entire codebase and all modifications/plugins/applications won't work in the new version. I don't want to have to do everything all over again so I'm waiting for the new version.

And we're done here. If the bull crap continues, some folks will be taking a vacation. I would highly recommend some folks take a valium.

Ft. Lauderdale/Miami or Keys Feb 27th - Mar 4

If you’re in Miami and FLL especially more than one back/forth, just rent a car. It will be cheaper. Parking in Wilton especially on the Drive on Fri/Sat evening can suck. If you plan to hit LeBoy, just park there and Uber for a few bucks to the Drive (Johnson’s) or Boardwalk. I live in Wilton, but when I visited… I did AirBnB’s several times. There is one LITERALLY behind Johnson’s that was reasonably priced and obviously conveniently located. Also check out “Inn On The Drive”. It’s a super small boutique location right off of the Drive close to there as well. I’ve also stayed at the Marriott branded hotels near FLL airport itself. There are Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inns, etc on Sterling or Griffin both right off I95. It’s a 10-15 min drive max from there to the Drive area. Ft Lauderdale beach would be about 15-20 min away or Dania Beach 5-10 min from there as well. -
Making a change to the traveling providers section.

That’s one reason why we encourage providers to include their username in the subject line. The software we use does not have the ability to automatically lock topics immediately upon submission. In addition, I don’t want to discourage people from being able to interact with the provider. -
There have been a few reports and messages sent to me on this thread. I want to make my stance on this clear. This site does not support or promote hate or racism in any way. With that being said, we do not control the name of the provider. In this case, this is done by RentMasseur. We cannot force the provider to change names and not allowing members to discuss a provider simply because of the username could cause other problems. For example there are several providers who want me to remove posts about them simply because they don’t like what is being said about them here. If we had a policy around acceptable provider usernames, all the provider would have to do is change a name to something not allowed to try and bypass the members here being able to discuss that provider. So if you have a problem with a provider’s username, please take it to that platform’s website. We cannot do anything to change it and I’m not about to start prohibiting discussion of specific usernames that might be considered offensive. Now… with that said, let’s return the discussion to the provider himself and not the acceptability of his username. Thank you for your understanding.

You can switch to the legacy M4M theme during the times we have special effects added to the site. The legacy theme does not get these treatments. I try to leave the legacy versions as close as possible to the stock/vanilla IPB theme.

This is fixed. Happy New Year.

Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in October and November in the United States, Canada, Saint Lucia, Liberia, and unofficially in countries like Brazil and Germany. It is also observed in the Australian territory of Norfolk Island. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessings of the harvest and of the preceding year. Various similarly named harvest festival holidays occur throughout the world during autumn. Although Thanksgiving has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated as a secular holiday as well.
