There is such a thing as bisexuality. It's not just clients, either. Some escorts are bisexual also. Does it creep you out if a client has a husband? Why should it matter if he has a wife? If the issue is being closeted or non-monogamous, how is that your call? Your lack of sexual interest in women is coming across as "ooh, girl cooties"! Someone else's sex life is not contagious. Really.

I caught on, eventually.

Groan. (Not a mark of disapproval; I like bad puns.)

I don't think everyone else is talking about Britney, but that's what you and I were talking about. Society is more accepting of younger woman/older man relationships. A relationship between a 23 year old and a 35 year old might raise eyebrows if the latter is a woman and the former is a man, but probably not otherwise, including same-sex relationships. I'd be more concerned about the maturity of the people involved, not their age.

He used a name for the escort that he learned from his research that is not associated with the escort persona. The only time to even mention it is much later in the relationship and only to suggest he might want to take more precautions (absent an unprompted revelation of the same information by the escort).

Would you say the same if it were reversed?

Go you for scheduling a visit to Fallingwater and them for falling in love with it once they saw it. Best wishes for your adjustment to a truly empty nest.

Another gender flip: Patti Smith singing (and rewriting the lyrics to) Bruce Springsteen's "Because the Night." Between new lyrics and old and the fact that it's Patti singing, not Bruce, the song means something different. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLB3goCL3Xk Like David Crosby's "Triad" (see above), which first appeared on a Jefferson Airplane album as sung by Grace Slick, Smith's was the first recorded version to be released. 10,000 Maniacs (among others) also covered it.

I was in college then and as a fan of rock, soul and funk, disco wasn't exactly in my wheelhouse, but looking back I liked enough of it that thinking of myself as a "disco sucks" girl isn't accurate either. I especially liked Donna Summer (except for "Love to Love You," which bored me silly), Vicki Sue Robinson's "Turn the Beat Around," and Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive." Some enterprising K-pop girl group should cover "Turn the Beat Around." That could be as big a hit as I.O.I's cover of "Whatta Man."

I like his more conventional movies. I dislike his more experimental ones. The Prestige and The Dark Knight are favorites of mine; I disliked Memento (by the end, I thought it was a waste of time) and didn't finish Inception.

Sex, Politics, Meth and Death in West Hollywood
+ quoththeraven replied to Rod Hagen's topic in The Lounge
I don't see this as BDSM. Injecting dangerous drugs like meth into someone for funsies is neither safe, sane and consensual nor risk aware consensual kink. From this it's impossible to know the extent of accountability, but viewing the mother's claims in the most sympathetic light possible, Buck induced her son to allow him to inject (or to inject himself with) dangerous drugs in exchange for payment that he used to support himself. That's predation compounded by differences in power, class and race. It may well also be a criminal act for which he will never be held accountable. Is it possible the son was already a user and this was not a big deal to him, making his death an outcome he voluntarily and knowingly assumed? Yes. Nevertheless, none of us actually know for sure, and it bothers me that this is being used to seemingly shrug shoulders at Buck facing no consequences for his involvement. -
Vanguard and TIAA-CREF are about the lowest cost of the major mutual funds. Both are committed to low fees as a matter of policy (index funds by definition should have low fees), although Vanguard is more vocal about it. Vanguard has a wider selection of funds; TIAA-CREF has the edge when it comes to customer service (Vanguard is efficient but brusque) and social conscience.

That's assuming you have accumulated the funds to be able to buy individual stocks. Time is a valuable commodity. In most instances, I can't imagine why it would be worth it to me to follow the market and look at the relevant statistics to the extent necessary in order to pick individual stocks and time when to sell them. But when it comes to such things I am risk-averse, though my portfolios are generally heavy on stocks, but that's because over time they outperform all other investment classes. I also meant to plug dollar cost-averaging and forgot.

For @Rod Hagen, something off the beaten path: Luna, main vocalist of f(x), performing with Jambinai, which mixes post-rock and rock instruments (drums, electric guitar and electric bass) with traditional Korean instruments. The title of the song is "From the Place to be Erased." Something a little more mainstream that contains some strange musical juxtapositions (metal and beautiful falsetto) and awesome lyrics: "Dystopia" by B.A.P I didn’t believe it in this reality I hoped that wasn’t true Oh yeah (The world is completely dark I feel suffocated) Countless lies Built on top of one lie Ah yeah (It’s not even funny now I won’t be deceived any more) In front of the faded line Stop right there Look at the stained illusion Everything has broken down There’s no utopia, that’s just an escape Now wake up, wake up, wake up Step on the world and get up The world has flipped inside out (I can’t, I can’t Stop) Dystopia (C’mon, It’s going down) Change everything What’s real has darkness (I can’t, I can’t Stop) Dystopia I’m awakening myself from being trapped Taking off my mask, do it better Shouting and walking on my path Don’t interfere and just shut up Each person’s utopia is different A place I love might be hell for someone else Let’s go to the end boy The faded black and white, new world You can’t always deny it It’s time to wake up from your dream Oh yeah (Even chasing after your dream Became a waste of time) There’s no time to hesitate Look at the bare face of the world Ah yeah (The truth isn’t the truth Everything you knew was a lie) In the place where reality fell The only remaining idea Is a place of gamble with the name of justice All value has disappeared The song was released early this March and was probably written late in 2016 at the height of the crisis that led to the removal of South Korean President Park Geun-hye. It's possible that the lyricists, particularly Bang Yongguk, leader of B.A.P., were also thinking of the political situation in the US at the time.
