How to gracefully turn down a provider?
maninsoma replied to + glennnnn's topic in Questions About Hiring
I agree that you are making this a bigger deal than it is. I assume you messaged none of them -- that they first messaged you after noticing you viewed their ads? If that's the case, then if you know you never want to meet certain of them you can simply ignore them. You aren't required to book someone just because you looked at his ad. If you do think you want to hire one or more of them at a later date, though, I think you can simply reply and say that you aren't prepared to meet with them now but will reach out at another time to schedule something. End of story. -
So sad that he was apparently left wanting this Christmas as none of the items on the Christmas wish list have been purchased for him. What will he do without a black and a brown leather coat this holiday season? Before I clicked on the link, I expected the ad to be even more ridiculous. He does show more than his abs. One shot shows his chest and a bit of arm and ass, too.

For me, the main sign is that someone looks older than his biological age. I'm not talking about early hair loss -- some guys start going bald in their twenties. But if someone's face has lost all youthful appearance and he's supposedly still in his twenties, I assume it's because he's more interested in using drugs than eating and sleeping right.

Sexy UW – La Crosse chancellor fired for making porno
maninsoma replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
I agree that he looks fine for a man in his 60s. The video linked on Str8upgayporn is boring, for the most part, but kudos to him for licking up his cum and kissing his wife at the end. I like when straight men aren't afraid of tasting their own cum. -
I love Scotch and am like you when it comes to my taste. Sometimes it's nice to have something light and delicate, and other times a smoky-rich Scotch is what I want. Given I'm not wealthy, there are a whole lot of expensive Scotches I've never tried. For an affordable option, I really enjoy Johnny Walker Black when I want that smoky-rich flavor.

That does sound odd, but it wouldn't be difficult for a guest to put something in a drink already made if the host is temporarily distracted or absent (going to the bathroom, getting something from another room, etc).

Cher Files for Conservatorship Over Son Elijah Blue
maninsoma replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
Apples and oranges. Britney was under conservatorship for a long time, during which time there were no allegations that she was using drugs and, in fact, she was performing regularly and making a lot of money. It was difficult to understand why someone who could function at her level needed to be conserved. She might not make the best decisions for herself, but that's true of a lot of people. Elijah Blue, at least according to Cher's legal filing, is so addicted to drugs that he doesn't even spend the money he receives (which isn't earned income but rather payments from his late father's trust) to take care of himself but rather spends it on drugs. I can understand a parent wanting to step in to basically force help on their kid when all other attempts have failed. -
masseurs with multi-visit packages
maninsoma replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
I understand how it can benefit both provider and client. The provider obviously gets paid in advance for work yet to be performed. For the client, typically the cost per session is lower when paying for a number of visits in advance. I've never done this with a masseur, but I would be willing to do it if I had already hired someone and trusted him. I did this with a personal trainer who was working out of another trainer's small gym, and it worked out fine. -
I'll reply, Simon. With watersports, even though I'm not interested in it, I wouldn't necessary reject a guy who lists that in his ad because, as you wrote, I wouldn't assume that the provider attempts to force watersports into every encounter. It's just an item available on the menu, so to speak. With findom, I don't think of it as just an activity available on the menu. It's an attitude on the part of the provider -- give me money and then I will demand even more money. The client is supposed to get a kick out of just being exploited. I would be concerned that this speaks to a provider's character and that he would cop that stance with me, even if I didn't ask for it. I'm not interested in throwing money at someone who then insults me and tells me to give him even more money.

The forehead looks youthful, the rest of the face screams "alien" to me. With all of Madonna's money, I don't understand why she hasn't sought out the best plastic surgeons. She should be going to whoever works on Cher's face. It's obvious Cher has had a lot of work done, but she still looks human. These celebrities who are willing to pay a lot of money to someone who ends up making them look ridiculous are beyond my comprehension. Does Madonna actually look in a mirror or at a photo of herself and think she looks good? I guess she does, probably because of how narcissistic she is.

There are a few previous threads on him here that you will find if you search for Latinotopvers. Seems like he's largely gotten good reviews.

Obviously this guy provides a good experience or he wouldn't have his fans on this site. I've never hired him, and only looked at this thread because someone just liked my previous comment. I brought up Jake's ad and see that not only is he still 39, but one of the last sentences indicates he's a "young sexy daddy" type. Yes, he claims to be a young daddy type. Isn't a young daddy someone in their teens or early 20s?

86% of Gen Z and Millennials have 'menu anxiety'
maninsoma replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
Apparently anxiety is the "in" condition, and it certainly isn't limited to Gen Z and Millennials. Just look at the normalization of "emotional support animals." It must be terrible to be so emotionally fragile that you cannot shop for groceries without your dog. -
Unless you are concerned that he's going to fly to your city on your dime and then not keep his commitment to you in terms of your appointment, I think you should drop it. You don't own him, even for the time he's scheduled to be with you. I'm not suggesting that you should be okay with him slipping away for an hourly appointment with a different client during your scheduled time together, but unless you have an indication that's what's on his mind then I think it would be bad form for you to bring this issue up. If you do, I'd suggest doing it very casually as in, "Hey, I noticed your ad indicates you'll be in my city when you are coming to see me," and then let him respond. If you make it an inquiry, it makes you look like a controlling client whom he should want to avoid, and then you might be stuck with an unused plane ticket.

Wow, Rick Donovan. I remember loving his scenes back in the 1980s. What I remember most about him, apart from his massive dick, are the massive cum shots he gave. Always hot for me to see a guy who squirts more and/or farther than average.

I'll be "that guy": You joined the site (well, its predecessor) over a decade ago, so you cannot blame being a newbie for your minimal efforts thus far. You started this thread asking for recommendations in a particular location without giving any parameters (sexual position, age, etc) or referencing some providers in that area that at least physically match what you desire. Then when someone recommends someone they met but didn't hire, instead of searching for previous discussion about that provider you ask in this thread whether anyone has hired him. If you search, you will find a thread where some members recommended him after having hired him within the past year or two. Someone else posted a naked photo of him in another thread, presumably one of his hidden photos in his ad. Maybe I'm just a bit irritable from a tough day at work, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect fellow forum members to put a little more effort into researching providers.

Can you achieve the American dream escorting?
maninsoma replied to marylander1940's topic in Questions About Hiring
I'm certainly not denying your facts. In fact in San Francisco on Rentmen currently there are: 6 pages of ads for escorts claiming to be 30 or younger. 5 pages of ads for guys claiming to be 30-40 years old; 3 pages of that are men 35 and under, 2 pages men 35-40. 1 1/2 pages for men aged 40-50. And less than one full page from age 50 on up. I think my point is that while this industry certainly favors younger guys, and many guys who do this when they are young adults don't stay in the industry for very long, there certainly is a market for older men providing they not only have qualities that still appeal to their client base but also know how to provide an experience satisfying enough that they have repeat clients. -
Holiday gift: A "gift card" of provider services
maninsoma replied to ICTJOCK's topic in Questions About Hiring
The only time I paid for a provider for someone else's birthday ended up not being so great (from my perspective), so I wouldn't do it again. It's not a bad idea if you can work out the logistics (not terribly difficult) and you know that the gift recipient is interested in the provider in question. There's no way I'd want such a gift if it was just a friend who knows me and knows I've hired escorts who selected someone based on their idea of who's appealing. I have one such friend who frequently shows me ads for guys and, for the most part, they don't appeal to be either because of looks or because of the written content in their ads. -
You're missing the point here. If you scan for the same kind of error in other current ads, you'll surely find guys whose ads have been on long enough that they, too, would have been under 18 when they started advertising if their current stated age is correct. I think the suggestion here is that if you want to help Rentmen clean up their database with respect to errors like this, you'll encounter a lot of ads that don't make sense in terms of age so you will have a lot of reporting to do. And, in the end, I think that if Rentmen thought this was an issue they would have already instituted some process to make sure this could not happen.
-
You think Rentmen cares about an advertiser lying about his age? I'm amused. I don't think the guy in the photos is currently 19 unless he's already been living a tough life.
-
Unfortunately it has happened to me several times. I've had guys no-show who were supposed to come to my place, and typically when someone doesn't show up they just don't bother to respond to texts asking where they are. One guy had the nerve, however, of replying that he was on his way to visit his family for the holidays and questioning why I would think it was okay to make an appointment right before Christmas. Uh, because you agreed to said appointment? Seemed obvious to me that if the guy didn't want to schedule something on December 24th he could have just said so. The funny/awkward thing is that I frequently saw him at my gym after that. Hot looking guy but because of his rudeness I always just ignored him. Another time I traveled to the hotel where some guy said he would be staying because we had an agreed-upon appointment time and he said he would give me his room number after he checked in. Didn't hear back from him before I traveled to his hotel, didn't hear back from him when I was outside his hotel; in fact, he never responded. It's bad enough to stand someone up, but one would think that at least a simple acknowledgement/apology would be in order.

This 22 year old Chicago Rentboy shares his monthly expenses with us
maninsoma replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
I assume the gym in his building is good enough for most people but not people seriously into body building. For example, I think the maximum dumbbell weight in my condo gym is 70 pounds; more than I'll ever need, but I definitely saw guys using heavier weights when I went to an actual gym. In terms of weight plates, I also don't think there are enough of those in high enough weights to provide a challenge to serious weightlifters. There's also not a lot of room to work out due to all of the equipment in the gym. But the other reason might be that he likes the social scene of the gym. Where I live, there generally are only a couple of people in the gym at any one time. There were more people at the real gym I used to go to at 4:00 a.m.! -
