I think once the basic introduction is given, I tend to ask his rate. If it's something I'm unwilling to pay I say thank you and move on. In a nutshell HBO Max is a streaming service, separate from HBO (cable station)/HBO Go (app for streaming the cable station). Think of HBO Max as a service like Netflix or Hulu. For now there will be shows and movies on HBO Max that won’t be on HBO/HBO Go or any other app or cable/tv station. They’re all owned by Warner Brothers so I would assume at some point things on HBO Max may trickledown to the other stations but it may take years. Either that or when and if cable dies they all will become HBO Max. For everything you asked, a lot has to do with the chemistry you have with a provider and his endurance. I have done overnights with guys I had not met previously and all save a few were great hires that lead to repeats. With that said, I would never hire someone I have never met for more than a weekend. In fact, the only guy I hired for a weekend before meeting was Kristian Elix. Kristian has a great reputation.
