  1. Anyone who says 'big city' and 'high life' is suspect to begin with. It's the classic lingo of someone who's intimidated by both. Everyone deserves to live the life they want and if they can afford to, even better. I agree that investing wisely is the way to go. I'd also suggest to not turn-and-burn yourself into premature age. This is, after all, an image based business. Spend some money on upkeep. It will pay for itself many, many times over. The fascinating thing about this business is that it balances so often on power exchanges. When you find success as an escort and are fortunate enough to keep that going over time, you will lose a portion of potential clients. What you hopefully learn is that you never really want that kind of client to begin with.... The guys who only wish you well when you're hat-in-hand.
  2. This is an interesting observation about the show's numbers: https://www.showbiz411.com/2022/03/16/good-news-bad-news-for-hbos-the-gilded-age-its-found-an-audience-but-not-a-desirable-one
  3. This is why I always pack a carrier pigeon in my checked bag.
  4. The same can be said for airlines and the lack of (working) power ports on their equipment. Always carry your own power bank(s). For me, Anker makes some of the best. If you travel through airports a lot, it's a must-pack that can save you from having to sit on a floor or power down mid-flight.
  5. Stop thinking about Margaret Thatcher
  6. Krystal is the southern version of White Castle. They're fucking delicious. I'd have taken that invite.
  7. Pujol is still impressive. I was there a few weeks ago and they've lost no polish. Their omakase taco bar, a separate concept within Pujol itself, is pretty awesome as well.
  8. TripAdvisor ain't what she used to be. There's a lot of background politics, pay to play positive reviews and competitors submitting negative reviews. It's about as reliable these days as Yelp. Gran Cuidad has needed a soft/hard refurb for years. The stained glass lobby is a beaut and I highly suggest a visit, but to stay there would be not ideal. Between the lack of soundproofing on the Zocalo side and the general state of the property, you can do better. Zocalo Central Umbral Hotel Historical And while I can't recommend staying there, go for a drink and a bite at Downtown Mexico. It's right off the Zocalo and their rooftop bar is relaxed and beautiful. Take the stairs to go up. It's a beautiful, old building with a lot of fun nooks and crannies. http://www.downtownmexico.com/index.html
  9. I think those who weren't raised around a predominantly Jewish community won't totally get this show. There I said it Seriously... It reminds me so much of the neighborhoods I grew up in (although I was an Irish catholic), it brings me a sense of comfort watching Maisel. I get the rhythms of the script. The line pickups in the show are just terrific. Sure, there's some stereotype at play, but it's done with so much love that I can't find fault with it. COVID played hell with this current season, leaving production to stay mostly in the NYC area. From a design perspective alone, the show is a brilliant snapshot from the past. The set design for the burlesque joint was incredible.
  10. I mean, the show is garbage with a great budget, but it's entertaining garbage. Nowhere near the writing quality and acting prowess of Downton, but still watchable for sure. I'd reckon it's the largest cast of Broadway actors we've seen in one mainstream show. That's always fun. The scenes shot on-location are beautiful. If you're an architectural or design/decor nerd, this is a superb show.
  11. If you think the strategy will work, give it a shot. The worst thing that happens is you go back to announcements. No harm, no foul. In terms of which cities are going to be fruitful for you, I'd say look at the places where people are traveling to frequently for work. There are several cities where convention business is back in decent swing. There's also something to be said for a soft rebrand. Look at your website, socials, etc and see if you can tweak anything to make it pop, better understood and simply more engaging. Always remember that less is more. Keep it simple, clean and clear. I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this shit. It can run you ragged after awhile.
  12. I'd charge 20% more for being asked in a grammatically incorrect way.
  13. Have you ever lived in Chicago during the '80s?
  14. I totally understand: You had a bad experience and it's colored the way you feel. You just got picked in the shit lottery... It happens and I'm sorry it did to you. Something made you look or sound like a target. Pinpoint, if you can, what that was and attempt to remedy it. Mexico is a fantastic place, but asserting your understanding of the language and culture is necessary (imo) to being comfortable. I still say get out there and keep exploring.
  15. This is not the case. PV is no more or less 'dangerous' than Manhattan or Chicago. Use common sense, but don't be a stereotypical American tourist. If you're visiting MX, get out of the resort and actually see, talk with and mingle amongst local Mexicans. You might learn something. Perhaps even change your own perceptions.
  16. You forgot *obsequious pearl-clutching*
  17. It's not a show for short attention spans. It's a slow burn, but a rewarding one.
  18. Thought-provoking, unnerving and original. Worth the watch, especially if you enjoy well-written dystopian storylines and good production values. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/severance/s01
  19. Brent is still a sexy little dude. He's one of the smart ones who takes care of himself and understands this remains a visual medium. And no, he won't be heading into the States anytime soon. That ship has sailed. People don't realize how easy it is to cross the wrong agency and get blacklisted. From that point on, it can take tens of thousands of dollars to get the right attorney to set things right. Most of those guys just never come back.
  20. Don't you know that the calling card of the insecure is to find fault with everyone and everything else?
  21. If you expect social grace or simple manners on OF, you're barking up the wrong tree. That said, if the person is funneling some of their OF base into their escorting business, it's foolish for him to not shoot over a quick 'thanks' if tipped. Perhaps for this guy, you need to set the bar lower.
  22. A lot of guys in video need to work on their listen to how straight I am script. Rule of thumb: One 'bro' per paragraph. Two 'dude' max, but three are allowed if used with an exclamation (ala Bill & Ted). One 'sup' and only as an intro line, never to be used again. If you've got a girlfriend on the side, you also get access to using the term 'nah' instead of 'no'
  23. It's as if it's not there in black & white for everyone to see. Wake me when I'm being sentenced.
