I don't know you and I don't make it a point to be offended by strangers. Bottom line, more than anything, it was a callous statement to me: A phrase used by guys who have likely been damaged or see this as just another mechanical exchange of pleasure for money. For me, the belief in that statement is more sad than anything. Time with the right escort- a guy you can really connect with in a wide variety of ways- can be an incredible thing. Perhaps you don't want to experience that, but it makes me all the more happy that the guys I see do.

The problem is actually with new Mayor Johnson. While she's open about being a lesbian, she's also got the voice of the cruise ship industry and Duval St major players in her ear. With Donnie Lee stepping down as police chief (openly gay as well), there's a seismic change happening at City Hall and I hope the spirit of this awesome little island remains intact.

The city of KW has slowly been cracking down on lap dance backrooms, so enjoy it while it lasts. They've already gotten them out of the straight places (Bare Assets on Truman most recently). It's strange and concerning to see local government suddenly turn so prudish.

KW doesn't really have any local working guys. And if they did, they'd likely be much older guys, as the island no longer attracts a younger crowd like they once did. As Keith said, Miami would be the provider. Quick 25 minute flights from MIA to EYW on AA or see if they'd do the incredibly long drive down Hwy 1.

Croatia- and Dubrovnik- is truly beautiful. I saw it first from a cruise ship, but have since gone back to explore. There's something to be said for what the cruise industry does to a small village/town, both good and bad. I've watched that happen to a place I love very much, Key West, and it's been bittersweet.

I've written about my trips with Atlantis and RSVP on 15MM in the past. It's not that there wasn't a ton of opportunity for entertaining (read: pithy) commentary, sex traveloguing, etc, but I didn't want to come across as a disrespectful dick to the great fellas who invited me along. 100% of the time, the best part of doing the all-gay cruises were the guys I was traveling with. It was the company I kept, not the cruise. The best experience I had gay cruising was with RSVP when they used an Azamara ship and we cruised SE Asia. It catered to an older, more traveled crowd who had to outlay a little more cash to just get to the port (Hong Kong). It wasn't a party boat. No theme nights. Just a really beautiful smaller ship, great entertainment, interesting ports and the chance to really make friends with a wide variety of other guys. If I was going to do this kind of thing again, this would be the iten I'd look at. Other option: You also have a ton of gay-friendly trips (R Family, Playbill) that book space on existing cruises. I've had great cruise experiences on both of those outfits.

Broken record here, but as if I needed more reasons to never go on one of these cruises again. Longest. Week. Ever.

Klena was also wonderful in his episode-arc on Kimmy Schmidt. He's an attractive guy, but also a very funny one too. I also didn't really want to see this, but ended up giving in due to it having Caroline O'Connor in the OBC. She's one of my favorite triple-threats. I enjoyed the show a lot more than I had expected.

This is the very definition of why great theatre exists. To make people question, to think. I didn't get to see this, but did follow the chatter and will not make the same mistake twice. To Brooklyn I go.
