  1. Really looking forward to seeing this, especially since FX has now cut ties with Ryan Murphy, who's one-trick-pony shows are wearing a little thin with me. The cast looks spectacular and the promos have been well-done. If you want a great, in-depth read on Fosse, I highly recommend this book: https://www.amazon.com/Fosse-Sam-Wasson/dp/0547553293
  2. Bozo was basically a God if you were a kid growing up in the Chicagoland area. Parents would get on the wait list for tickets when their children were born and take them for their 7th birthday: Yes, the wait list was up to 7 years at one point. I still get a little wistful when I think about trying to get ping-pong balls into a small, metal bucket.
  3. Yikes. Sometimes I'm glad we can't easily connect a screen name with reality. Ignorance is bliss.
  4. It's not fake news. It's just a troll-bait headline to a very real, very sad story.
  5. One of my college jobs was managing a gay adult magazine's subscriber list, as well as dealing directly with the stores. I have good memories of CoB. They always paid on time and were very friendly. Sad to see them go.
  6. This thread should ideally be retitled 'Carping is the new norm'
  7. How about a cock ring made of china?
  8. Streisand OUT. Amy Sherman taking over. Mel McCarthy IN? https://deadline.com/2019/02/gypsy-amy-sherman-palladino-the-marvelous-mrs-maisel-revival-new-regency-1202551539/
  9. Croatia- and Dubrovnik- is truly beautiful. I saw it first from a cruise ship, but have since gone back to explore. There's something to be said for what the cruise industry does to a small village/town, both good and bad. I've watched that happen to a place I love very much, Key West, and it's been bittersweet.
  10. I've written about my trips with Atlantis and RSVP on 15MM in the past. It's not that there wasn't a ton of opportunity for entertaining (read: pithy) commentary, sex traveloguing, etc, but I didn't want to come across as a disrespectful dick to the great fellas who invited me along. 100% of the time, the best part of doing the all-gay cruises were the guys I was traveling with. It was the company I kept, not the cruise. The best experience I had gay cruising was with RSVP when they used an Azamara ship and we cruised SE Asia. It catered to an older, more traveled crowd who had to outlay a little more cash to just get to the port (Hong Kong). It wasn't a party boat. No theme nights. Just a really beautiful smaller ship, great entertainment, interesting ports and the chance to really make friends with a wide variety of other guys. If I was going to do this kind of thing again, this would be the iten I'd look at. Other option: You also have a ton of gay-friendly trips (R Family, Playbill) that book space on existing cruises. I've had great cruise experiences on both of those outfits.
  11. Broken record here, but as if I needed more reasons to never go on one of these cruises again. Longest. Week. Ever.
  12. Klena was also wonderful in his episode-arc on Kimmy Schmidt. He's an attractive guy, but also a very funny one too. I also didn't really want to see this, but ended up giving in due to it having Caroline O'Connor in the OBC. She's one of my favorite triple-threats. I enjoyed the show a lot more than I had expected.
  13. This is the very definition of why great theatre exists. To make people question, to think. I didn't get to see this, but did follow the chatter and will not make the same mistake twice. To Brooklyn I go.
  14. And as Jim Williams says in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil: I'm what they call "nouveau riche," but then, it's only the "riche" that counts. That was a fascinating story, as Le Reve was in the process of being sold when Wynn had the accident. It was eventually repaired and sold for $155 million. Interesting side story: Wynn Las Vegas was originally going to be called Le Reve, but Steve's marketing team eventually convinced him to change it to his namesake to make it easier for tourists to understand. He conceded to move the name to the aquatic show, which still runs in one of the property's theaters today.
  15. It's fine if you want to fuck around in a public setting... Just make sure it's a CONTROLLED public setting. I have a problem with guys who do it this way, basically saying fuck-all to innocent bystanders around them. I get the mindset of getting off on that thrill, but you're not an animal. There's a time and place for everything. WWJMD? (What Would Judith Martin Do)
  16. At the end of the day, the client is saving the escort from getting sick and losing even more income in the long run. Sure, it's not fun taking a financial hit, but if decent notice is given, I don't see how that's such a terrible thing.
  17. I don't know what airline you're flying, but J-class on most legacy carriers is a lot more than that What's most curious is these rates being charged by guys with little-to-no reviews and a weak marketing game. As I've always said, the market will dictate if they keep their rates high... If people pay, it'll stay. If not, watch those hourly rates tumble down.
  18. Bottom line: It's one thing to privately think it, it's another thing to act on it. Acting on it makes you a schmuck in my book.
  19. This was exactly what I meant... You just happen to put it into words much better than I
  20. The stereotypes and blind assumption in this thread is staggeringly funny at times
  21. Thanks for the compliment!
  22. It was just so terrible. The whole broadcast. And that fucking audience screaming and clapping at everything, including Mimi's death.
  23. And then there's this...
