  1. I saw this in Australia years ago. Sounds like they continued to not focus on the meat of the show (book/lyrics/music) and just kept pumping money into tech. If you want spectacle, go to Vegas and see a Cirque show. It's sad to me that this kind of crap is now becoming commonplace on Broadway.
  2. As if some people around here don't try to over-commodify escorts already... A punchcard? No bueno. The most successful guys realize that this is a humanity business. Good clients will keep coming back without the need for discounts or limited time offers: If you're a great escort giving 110% during your time together, it's just natural.
  3. The op's Liza video is one of my very favorites. She just radiates and really belts it out. It's just effortless showmanship. This is also one of my favorites. It was an encore from her New Orleans concert (cut from the commercial release):
  4. Love the creators of this show, as well as the cast. I plan on seeing it in mid-December. I've got good friends who have a lot tied up in this show: I hope it does well.
  5. What about those of us who have a Toto Washlet? Do we spray and pat dry or spray and air dry?
  6. And you thought deregulation was going to be a good thing. LOL. Oil goes up. Fares go up. Jet fuel is a pain in the ass. Bottom line, we should be paying more to go from coast-to-coast. And we wonder why service, employee morale and equipment are so crappy.
  7. Ya gotta stop taking Corny Street so serious
  8. Benjamin's been out of the States for nearly that long. Patience is a virtue
  9. Makeup used in the right amount and by someone who knows how to work with a male face is fine. Guys who use enough to audition for Drag Race... No.
  10. This is the same song, different artist. That industry attracts and self-destructs those who have preexisting issues. It's no less sad, but it's not something we should be surprised about. Anything less than reaching out to him directly is just more 'thoughts & prayers'
  11. Such is the diva's life
  12. Malek, like any actor, has an uphill battle when playing this kind of iconic role. I think he did a fantastic job considering. It's a little like how the ghost of Garland will always haunt A Star Is Born: Some say her performance will never be topped.
  13. Always great news to have her back on Broadway. Plus, I love how bent out of shape her internet message board detractors get when she's performing in NYC. They can't help themselves
  14. What a chickenshit move. This will bring no closure to any of the living victims.
  15. Aside from your anti-Halloween stance, I do recommend this one... https://www.amazon.com/Lynde-Halloween-Special-Billy-Barty/dp/B000TEUSMC
  16. Slip o' the keyboard. You are correct sir
  17. HB 'discovered' TB in New Orleans. I remember the him telling me about it and how fond he was of the experience.
  18. If this advances your career and there's future hope of another upwards (or at least sideways) move, go for it. Shanghai is beautiful and in predominant ways, a very livable city. The metro is great (although, not as amazing as in Japan). The people are friendly. Yes, you deal with some of the caveats that come with the Chinese government, but that's the way it is. Shanghai is, by far, the most Westernized city in China. Take the promotion. Enjoy the adventure.
  19. This thread is near done
  20. Given what a lot of people in the industry already know about AW, why would anyone let him fuck them raw? I hope the former FA retains counsel. Without a signed agreement, posting that video could cost AW a lot of money in court.
  21. I once got a sip from an opened bottle of 1992 Screaming Eagle. I calculated that as at least a $5k taste. I also helped drink a balthazar of Chateau Margaux. There were 20 there and we each got a few glasses. It was pretty awesome.
  22. Considering you can get kicked out of gay bars in Japan for being a Westerner, I'm not shocked. It is what it is. You just keep moving on. Take your business elsewhere. As for this: '...our own community which is known for universal acceptance, love, pride and freedom of expression.' I disagree (somewhat). The gay community inner-discriminates amongst our own to a fault.
  23. You can be busy and still take a second to send a 'sorry, booked solid' email. We all have smartphones. There's really very little excuse.
  24. I don't joke about attorneys. They have a tough job. And like someone here said already, when you need one, a good one, they're worth their weight in gold.
  25. That's not just a facet of being gay... That's life in-general. Horrible acts are usually what push humans to be better, more successful people. I suggest growing a thick skin in getting through this world: Spending all your time giving a shit about what- most likely- a stranger thinks is a waste of time. Overcoming these things requires laughing it off, putting on the blinders and continuing to move forward. People who openly discriminate say more about themselves than the people they're trying to hurt.
