KiaOra reacted to + sync in Credit card debt hits 1 trillion! How much do you owe?
@marylander1940 and @KiaOra, I wanted to thank you for your kind emoji responses to my post and apologize for any misunderstanding that my post may have suggested that I'm in any financial hardship. I'm financially sound, I've just reigned in my impulse spending to preserve it through these current economic uncertainties. Again, thank you for your sensitivity.

The cold shower rained on me about two/three years ago which prompted me to severely curtail my impulse spending. The "good old days" are moving further and further into the past.

Do the bathroom first. It’s always the most satisfying to get done.

Wanted to shout out this incredibly gorgeous man; Nicoo_xl (currently in Austin, but travels often). Very sexy and hot, great vibes, and super fun in and out of the bedroom. He’s not only a very talented versatile lover, but a genuinely sweet and affectionate guy. Highly recommended!

Definitely a hottie. As for age, 20 is an adult so you be the judge.

Excellent body, but roughly zero info in the ad and nothing here. Too young to consider?

As others have pointed out, years have passed since I've used his services. However, I enjoyed the few gentlemen he connected me with, and I didn't have any issues.

Yes, but some of his plans were destroyed so later architects have had to interpret and try to piece together what he wanted.

Because this church, or monument, or mere building, generates much more. It is not a vanity project, but a carefully planned investment.

KiaOra reacted to + Jamie21 in Declining After Face Pic
From my perspective as someone who is hired I do get some clients asking for a face pic and I’m happy to send one. Occasionally they say ‘thanks but no thanks’ which at first caused me some consternation but now I just don’t care. I’m glad they had the decency to reply. If my face isn’t to their liking it doesn’t cause me upset because I’m confident in my services through being successful. You can’t be everything to everyone. The worst thing is sending a pic into the void. I’d recommend clients to always reply to your ‘provider’ (or whatever terms we use, I prefer sex worker tbh) with a ‘thanks but not for me, best wishes’ or something like that. There’s a person the other end. Always remember that.

I definitely never learned anything remotely involving finance in NYC public schools (other than a stock market “game” in elementary school), all the way up through senior year economics class and AP Calculus. It’s always been baffling to me that the curriculum does not include basic “life math” like making a budget and paying taxes.

I did not learn money management from my parents and I didn't learn it in school. I actually didn't learn about it until my mid 20s when my boyfriend at the time learned that I had maxed out my credit card twice (first time paid off by my dad, and the current reality that I was at my max again). It wasn't that I was dumb; I was just ignorant. Once I saw the math in black-and-white, it was easy to change my spending habits to get out of debt and live within my means. It's been so long since middle and high school that I hesitate to post this lest my memory be faulty, but despite me doing well in math classes I don't think the lessons ever involved finance. I think that's a mistake. It's great to understand the Pythagorean Theorem but I think it would be even more valuable to make sure students learned about basic money management.

Years ago, I dated some very handsome and wildly popular men.
Strangely perhaps, I became very close to 5 of them; friendships developed and have endured.
All of them know of my background in finance, and three have been introduced to my family. All are smart men, and each asked me about finance and investing.
What astounded me in each case were two matters:
that I had to explain compound arithmetic and its importance that they had no real understanding of their income and outgoings One man in particular expressed his astonishment that not only did I know what I typically spent but also that I spent so little to live well, while reinvesting excess income.
I say all this not to brag but it shocks me that people do not live within their means and save more.

I find Sagrada Familia to be a masterpiece precisely because it transcends the traditional styles. It takes the Gothic idea of directing your gaze and thoughts upwards and raises it to an entirely new level, and does the same for the medieval tradition of using the stained glass windows and stone carvings of figures and symbols as teaching tools. The building is a fantastic exercise in symbolism. It is Gaudi's imagination made real, a statement that you must reach into your own imagination to begin to understand the divine and your relationship with the supernatural. It stands there to demonstrate how faith can give you a whole new way of viewing the world.

I saw it twice, once in 2012 and then in 2023. In 2023 there were talks about the church being "almost done", and back then they expected it being finished in 2027. Seems like they finished ahead of schedule.
It is super impressive, though I find its details outside to be too much to look at, they have nativities scenes, christmas trees, scenes from several bible stories and a lot of other christian symbols. They cannot be appreciated from afar, but when you get closer your get overwhelmed with the so many details.
Gaudi sounds like he was not exactly an easy person to work with (he actually lived in that church for some time while being built to ensure things went as he envisioned them), but the end result is (IMO) a masterpiece.
Worth the effort, I guess.
To me this is another excuse for me to return to Barcelona.

Is building a church a vanity project? With that mentality for example gay men shouldn't go on cruises considering the "famine" in Gaza... When I go to San Francisco if I have no access to the Club/Concierge Lounge, I treat myself to a Starbucks coffee, should I donate that money to a homeless person n the streets? It's private money and folks can donate it to whoever or whatever they want. From google: The Sagrada Família receives zero funding from the Spanish government, the Vatican, or corporate sponsors. Designated as an "expiatory temple," its massive construction budget is financed almost entirely by private donations and ticket sales from millions of annual visitors. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] The financial model of the basilica relies on several distinct revenue streams: [1] Ticket Sales: Entry fees (ranging from basic visits to guided tower access) generate the overwhelming majority of the basilica's construction budget. [1] Private Donations: Contributions from global worshippers, individual patrons, and the Spiritual Association of Devotees of St. Joseph continue to support the long-term project. [1, 2] Self-Generated Revenue: Merchandising, audio guide rentals, and on-site museum exhibits supplement these funds. [1] In recent years, the foundation has generated roughly €135 million annually in private income, with the majority reinvested directly into completing the structure and carving architectural details. Because construction relies exclusively on this pay-as-you-build model, the pace of the project has been directly tied to the volume of visitor traffic. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] -

Someone might not have a face pic posted for a valid reason. They may simply have a regular job and would like to keep this side hustle a bit discreet. Or they may want to travel internationally and not be caught up in facial recognition.
As long as they'll send a face pic after a simply inquiry then I'm more than ok with that.

I have 3 regulars who I follow on IG. They charge top dollars ($400/$500). Regularly on vacation overseas, flying BC/FC, branded clothes/shoes/bags, 5-figures watches, driving european lux cars. If any of then ever set up a Gofundme, its really be their own fault.
