I wasn't at the Malibu concert, but I made a point of visiting Streisand's former home when it was still possible.

I am confused. The concert in the canyons of Malibu was a political fund raising event. It wasn't open to the general public even for those who could have afforded tickets. I saw Barbra Steisand two others times. In the Boston tryouts of "Funny Girl" and "I Can It For You Wholesale. In far more intimate theaters than sports areans

I knew it was the Malibu concert. I prefer that concert over the time I saw her in a large arena in Philadelphia.

I prefer her far more intimate "One Voice" concert at her home in the canyons of Malibu in 1986. For a short time, that property was available to visit, after she moved to be closer to the Pacific Ocean.

I read Richard J. Evans' book when I audited Second World War courses at the University of Pennsylvania a decade ago. The professor was Tom Childers who has written several excellent books on Germany in 1930s and 1940s. I enjoyed talking to Childers and occasionally the students, who are smarter than I. But I did because friends with several students. I have mentioned before that the student I knew the best was killed in South Sudan. (He became an excellent journalist.)
