Yes...The Numbers is long gone, and yes it was in a league by itself. Spent a couple of decades having lots of fun there, some legal, some not... I've been out of LA for about 4 years, but my stop in WEHO always included Cafe D’ Etoile, The bar is small but a bit more upscale, intimate and cruisey with locals. Fun in the afternoons and early evenings, and dinner curbside provides a lovely array of eye candy. @caliguy is correct, the Gold Coast is very cruisey, lots of local boys that are for hire. It's rough around the edges, and a bit scandalous, and every bit a 'dive' bar, but if it's your thing, you can have fun. I liked Trunks, less drama, great local crowd that is friendly and flirtatious. If things are not happening, you can always work your way down the street to the larger clubs and cross the street to the Motherlode. I personally would never recommend Pump or the Abbey. Too much attitude and LA BS. . Santa Monica blvd still has something for everyone. Things have changed from the 'heyday' and I miss how things used to be, but time marches on, and one has to work with what one has...good luck. And lastly...I second @MikeBiDude suggestion of Silver Fox in Long Beach. It's worth trip.

My sister didn't even want the neighbors to know the address of where the P.O. Box was located, so they used only a P.O. Box for everything. For years, nothing ever came to the house. I would suspect that you might need to go up the chain of command of credit card companies and other companies that you have to deal with and let them know that your physical address is not to be used...ever.
