  1. I don't know Marylander, I don't think the 300+ model for every single provider was a sustainable model to begin with, let alone now in this highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression! Also, I initially thought that the typical client was more shielded from this nightmare, but seeing all the people on this board talking about their stimulus check issues, has made me change my mind completely. I am far from the top income earners here but I am not even close to qualifying for a stimulus payment. Even if people still have the money to spend, there are so many other issues. Heck, some people I know refuse to even handle cash at all anymore! I agree with this, unfortunately none of the icons seems appropriate to express that as I surely don't "like" that it is true.
  2. Hope everything works out for you. No judgement here, but just curious if you took any special precautions. Like did you refrain from certain activities (like kissing), wear a mask, share test results prior (Covid-19 test or antibody) or plan for self-quarantine after (I.e. if you work with others or have neighbors or parents you interact with)? Again not trying to say you should or need to (that is for you to decide), just wondering if you did. I am not perfect either as I did pet a dog without wearing gloves
  3. Simple answer. No, I won't. I don't see anything wrong with your decision to do so, if that is what you chose to do. To be fair, I wouldn't pay my housekeeper or pool boy or lawn service (just as examples) more either.
  4. Just an FYI to all on possible but unlikely sexual transmission of Covid-19 https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/07/science/coronavirus-semen-study.html Coronavirus May Lurk in Semen, Researchers Report It was not clear whether the scientists had found infectious virus or inert fragments, so sexual transmission of the virus still seems very unlikely.
  5. Thanks for the information. My fantasy is crushed but I am not surprised. The real model is: Height: 5’11″ Suit: 40L Shirt: 15 Waist: 30 Inseam: 32 Shoe: 11 Hair: Dty. Blonde Eyes: Blue
  6. https://rentmen.eu/Rauliyo Anyone have any first person experience or know if he is real? Thanks.
  7. The theme song of the current Covid-19 situation. Introduced by Jimmy Kimmel @jimmykimmel I can think of no better metaphor for this presidency than Donald Trump not wearing a face mask to a face mask factory while the song “Live and Let Die” blares in the background.
  8. I posted this elsewhere, but it seems very relevant to this conversation. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/a-mutant-coronavirus-has-emerged-even-more-contagious-than-the-original-study-says/ar-BB13CHNP?ocid=spartandhp Highlights: -A mutant coronavirus has emerged, even more contagious than the original, study says. -In addition to spreading faster, it may make people vulnerable to a second infection after a first bout with the disease, the report warned. -Scientists at major organizations working on a vaccine or drugs have told The Times that they are pinning their hopes on initial evidence that the virus is stable and not likely to mutate the way influenza virus does, requiring a new vaccine every year. The Los Alamos report could upend that assumption. -If the pandemic fails to wane seasonally as the weather warms, the study warns, the virus could undergo further mutations even as research organizations prepare the first medical treatments and vaccines. Without getting on top of the risk now, the effectiveness of vaccines could be limited. Some of the compounds in development are supposed to latch onto the spike or interrupt its action. If they were designed based on the original version of the spike, they might not be effective against the new coronavirus strain, the study’s authors warned. -Medical experts have speculated in recent weeks that they were seeing at least two strains of the virus in the U.S., one prevalent on the East Coast and another on the West Coast -Even if the new strain is no more dangerous than the others, it could still complicate efforts to bring the pandemic under control. That would be an issueif the mutation makes the virus so different from earlier strains that people who have immunity to them would not be immune to the new version. If that is indeed the case, it could make “individuals susceptible to a second infection,” the study authors wrote.
  9. Well, so many unknowns still. Unfortunately, this is not encouraging. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/a-mutant-coronavirus-has-emerged-even-more-contagious-than-the-original-study-says/ar-BB13CHNP?ocid=spartandhp Highlights: -A mutant coronavirus has emerged, even more contagious than the original, study says. 10. Totally enjoyed Outer Banks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GC68w9tvv6I
  11. Personally, no. Unless they showed their actions to be pre-meditated, punitive, or intentionally tried to spread Covid-19. (i.e. advertised as Covid-19 safe or claimed immunity or posted on this message board as a denier). I am responsible for my own actions and my own safety, so I won't be hiring anyone until it is deemed medically safe to do so.
  12. While they both can kill, there is a huge difference between flu and Covid-19. We have knowledge, understanding, experience and certainty with flu. There is even a vaccine. An individual knows when they are sick with the flu. Covid-19 is a whole different story. Here is an excerpt from one such incident: From 1 to 9: How AC air spread coronavirus to 3 families at a restaurant in China In January, when the coronavirus epicentre Wuhan was yet to be locked down completely, a family was dining at a restaurant in Guangzhou. The family had come from Wuhan and one of them was carrying the virus unknowingly. Days later, nine others who dined at the restaurant started showing symptoms of coronavirus. The virus travelled through the air conditioner duct at the restaurant and infected three families sitting in the vicinity of each other who never engaged with the other. Seventy three other diners and staff of the restaurant were not infected. The curious case of the Chinese restaurant has been cited by experts in a research paper in China's Center for Disease Control and Prevention, reported the New York Times. The experts have concluded that three families were infected by the one index patient belonging to 'Family A'. This family with the index patient has been named by the Chinese experts as 'Family A' while the two other families are 'Family B' and 'Family C'. Family dined at the Guangzhou restaurant on January 24. Later that day a 63-year-old member of the family started coughing and developed a fever. She later tested positive for coronavirus. According to the report, within two weeks, nine others who dined in the restaurant the same day, also tested positive for the novel coronavirus that originated in Wuhan. Four of them were relatives of the woman while the others were from families sitting on tables on both sides of Family A's table at the restaurant. Chinese experts have drawn the conclusion that these unrelated families must have contracted the virus from the restaurant where they both spent over an hour sitting at a distance from Family A. An air conditioner placed above Family C's table blew air over the three tables in a southward direction where it hit the wall and returned. As coronavirus had not spread beyond Wuhan in January, researchers believe Family A from Wuhan spread the virus to the other two families. According to the NYT report, experts believe this case and other such cases will likely change dining patterns and the practice of eating out in the post-pandemic world. The Chinese researchers have concluded that droplets carrying the virus was transmitted through the air conditioning unit in the restaurant and the direction of the airflow was a key contributor. Covid-19 is not well understood. We do know it spreads easier, maybe even airborne (source). We know that it is also likely spread from asymptomatic people ( ones that show no symptoms or even have any idea they are sick). source It is creating many dangerous non-flulike effects (for example): Brain Lungs Inflamatory syndrome in children I will add one important thing. I personally don't think it is any riskier to meet with an escort than with an individual on Grindr that has a lot of sexual partners. This is why I am currently abstaining from both until I feel the scientific community has evidence it is safer to do so. One final point. Admit It: You Are Willing to Let People Die to End the Shutdown The question is how many and how soon. In the pandemic, everyone is a moral relativist. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/04/30/coronavirus-shutdown-altitude-ethics-223569 Even though I as an individual may not die from Covid-19, I am not sure I am ready to be the reason another person's parents die or child gets seriously sick. Karma is a bitch!
  13. It may be a preference for potential customers like many other things. On RentMen, for example, height can be set between 5'5" and 6"7" in the search criteria. Just taking myself, I do have a height preference (of exactly 6'0"), but it is far from an important/absolute requirement. For example, I have hired and had a good time with Brian Strowkes. Position, body type, even hair, tattoos & piercings would all be examples of personal preferences I would count 100X more important. But no, it should not be disqualifying to escorting. It may be a turn-off to somebody, but there is noting you can or should do about that. I would recommend you not lie about your height (although I guess fudging within reason wouldn't be that terrible... i.e. an inch).
  14. Please keep it non-political but if government does decide to go the state bankruptcy route they have talked about, those people on pensions (i.e. retired teachers, government workers, peace officers, firefighters etc.) will be in a world of hurt too. That is a whole lot more people who will not be able to hire so easily.
  15. I really don't know when I will feel comfortable enough to hire again as I do have some risk factors for serious complications with Covid-19. I would likely prefer to have an available vaccine, but from everything I read, even 18 months is overly optimistic. So I guess it will be after reliable rapid testing is readily available. I will also probably stick with current trusted providers only. I would feel least comfortable of all with someone new, especially those providers that travel extensively.
  16. Uh oh! Flopped in the first trial. https://www.cnbc.com/video/2020/04/23/gilead-halted-after-plunging-after-remdesivir-flopped-in-coronavirus-trial-report.html The Financial Times reported that a hopeful coronavirus treatment from Gilead (GILD) flopped in a trial. The Chinese trial for Gilead’s antiviral drug remdesivir produced results that did not give meaningful conclusions on its efficacy, according to the Financial Times, and the study – which was remdesivir’s first randomized clinical trial – ended due to low enrollment. Edit: Note that Gilead is refuting this. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/gileads-coronavirus-drug-flops-first-170842951.html Gilead said in a statement the post included inappropriate characterizations of the study and that the study was terminated early due to low enrollment and, as a result, it was underpowered to enable statistically meaningful conclusions. "The study results are inconclusive, though trends in the data suggest a potential benefit for remdesivir, particularly among patients treated early in disease," the company said.
  17. I never met him, but he is fantastic in the Atomic Saloon show (@Venetian - along with everyone else in it)!
  18. It is dangerous to apply the standard you would conduct yourself(s) to the broad category of escorts (or even people) in general. I don't doubt that if you took a deposit or prepayment, that you (ie. @Rod Hagen ) wouldn't even consider not honoring it. Inexperienced clients reading these forums should not be so trusting until they have established solid and proven relationships. Unfortunately, speaking from experience, not all men honor thier words or obligations. Additionally, when someone's consideration (i.e. payment or reward) has already been received- there is an understandable chance the motivation might no longer be there... even if the client is lucky enough to still have the service provided. Perhaps you should ask yourself as a client, if the situation was reversed, would the escort be willing to help you out if you needed it? If you can honestly answer "yes", then by all means- go for it! I would say I am fortunate enough to have met 2 escorts (over the decades) that I could. But (unfortunately) I have met a whole lot more who wouldn't.
  19. Sorry if it's a dupe. There are so many pages to search to be sure The Prayer
  20. This guy has great balls! @loganwallcb
  21. From the TV show This Is Us It probably packs more of a punch if you are a fan of the show as Artist Blake Stadnik (legally blind) plays "future" Jack Damon,,, Kate & Toby's miracle (visually impaired) baby. It plays out beautifully on the episode! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N41_xh0ZWAE Besides a great voice, Stadnik is pretty darn cute too!
  22. I think this is the Bellagio Fountains version of the song, which I love as well!
  23. The situation aboard the U.S. aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt gives a great look into this virus. (from the article linked below) https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-usa-military-sympt-idUSKCN21Y2GB The Navy’s testing of the entire 4,800-member crew of the aircraft carrier - which is about 94% complete - was an extraordinary move in a headline-grabbing case that has already led to the firing of the carrier’s captain and the resignation of the Navy’s top civilian official. Roughly 60 percent of the over 600 sailors who tested positive so far have not shown symptoms of COVID-19, the potentially lethal respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus, the Navy says. The service did not speculate about how many might later develop symptoms or remain asymptomatic. “With regard to COVID-19, we’re learning that stealth in the form of asymptomatic transmission is this adversary’s secret power,” said Rear Admiral Bruce Gillingham, surgeon general of the Navy. The figure is higher than the 25% to 50% range offered on April 5 by Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of President Donald Trump’s coronavirus task force. Think about that for a minute. 60% of the infected people showed no symptoms at all! The good news is that things are likely going to get back to normal once the following take place: The availability of a vaccine. The availability of a solid treatment (possibly Gilead's Remdesivir if you believe the hype). The availability of reliable and rapid testing for the virus and antibodies. The reopening of the economy, relaxing social distancing, and return to employment.
  24. Anyone know if Dwight in Shining Armor is any good?
  25. I thought I was understanding this season, easier than the other two... well... not any more. S3 Episode 5 returned me to reality! At this point, I am just hoping my crush (XXX edited for potential spoiler) comes back!
