Is relocating to Canada really a thing?
Luv2play replied to viewing ownly's topic in The Travel Desk
Southern Ontario is parallel with Northern California. And grows peaches, plumbs and all sorts of other fruits which are now in season. Of course it doesn’t have the coastal climate but wine is grown seriously there. -
I read about this a week or so ago in the NYT. Mini forests. Invented by this Japanese guy. Very interested as I had unconsciously done this on my town property 16 years ago. They were all saplings which I harvested from my country property. Today I have these different big compatible trees all happily growing skyward together ( about 18 to 22 feet) They now touch branches a little but that’s ok according to the Japanese originator. And they will become stronger as a result of their diversity and closeness. Sitting in my garden this morning with the wind rustling the leaves both deciduous and coniferous was wonderful to see.

One book I am currently reading is my own which is to be published this fall. I have spent over a year in writing it and the last 3 months in reading proofs. Getting down to the final proof in the next week and hope to have it come out in late September. It’s an historical treatise of limited interest but should do alright in the local market. I will do a book launch and it will be featured at our local museum, at which I am the curator. It’s my second effort at writing a book. My first was a self published family history. This latest I got a publisher to pay the costs. Satisfaction at the end of the day but lots of sweat invested in the research and writing. Got to get things right in a historical book as much as possible.

I saw a provider I have met 3 previous times over 2 years a couple of days ago. He advertises as vers/top. With me he is top but on our first date I hired him to top me and bottom for another escort I had hired for the night. He was great at both and we reminisced about it this time. I asked him how often he is asked to bottom and he said not too often. Of course his great asset is a huge dick 8 1/2 and thick. Hard to pass up.
-
I find the opposite. Ads can repeat on the next page, 1 or 2, usually not more and not always.
-
Bottom includes both vers top and vers bottom. Also bottom and vers. So it’s no surprise it’s the largest category. I still think top is the largest single category without any ad-ons, or perms and combinations as my math teacher used to say.

Arrested doesn’t mean guilty. Still, rough trade probably fits the bill. Proceed at your own risk. -
Have you hired a provider for 'anything else' ?

You’re absolutely right. And I do shop almost every day and buy fresh food. Which I cook myself. When I go out to dine it’s always good restaurants . No junk food or very little if you consider pizza junk food. And then only seldom do I have pizza, Maybe once every 3 months. Don’t eat hamburgers and fries. -
Interesting profile of Cade Maddox. Learned a few things about him. Wasn’t too turned on by his bf Kevin. He’s French Canadian from Montreal where I also grew up. Not my type of French Canadian though.

He has the BenSash seal of approval. 😂

That’s probably my only option. I notice all the cute guys are working at the grocery store in my town. -

Your post reminded me I am a combination gardener, landscape architect, designer of gardens and landscaper, as well as arborist. I do these things as a matter of interest and necessity. When I bought my retirement home 16 years ago I was confronted with a large mostly empty lot surrounding the house with lots of potential. It had a good exposure to sun and was a corner lot. I trained for two years as an architect at university level so had the basic skills of a designer and architect(I have designed two houses in my lifetime) and a love for gardens. I designed 3 gardens at the rear of the house interspaced by stone walkways and shrubs and trees and several gardens around the house with trees, shrubs etc. 16 years on I do all the maintenance. I wonder as I get older how much longer I will be able to keep it up. But it is a good form of exercise and I take great pleasure in sitting in my gazebo, which I designed, and seeing the fruits of my labours. -

Yes, I suppose I shouldn’t have roped landscapers into the other areas of gardening, such as design and architecture. The grunt work of shoving earth and rocks around is usually the domain of men. Climbing trees and removing branches is usually the field of arborists. I have hired these professionals to deal with some of my trees and they will not cut down trees. They leave that to others who specialize in that business. -

For those interested in gardens created by women, another in Canada are the Butchart Gradens in Victoria British Columbia. Jennie Butchart created those fabulous gardens out of an exhausted rock quarry. That was in the early 20th century and today they are a major tourist attraction. -

Actually all the ones I know are straight and married. -

Given the reaction to my post, why is that so strange? Women are great gardeners and if they have an entrepreneurial bent they make good landscapers. Some of the most famous gardens here in Canada were designed by women. For instance the Reford Garden in Grande Métis sur Plage in Québec was created in the early 20 th century by Elsie Reford and is now a National Historic Site. -
Yes. And a little more unfiltered. As time went on and his fame and wealth increased he became more secure and some of his less attractive traits came to the surface. I wouldn’t want to spend a week with him on safari.

He has the BenSash seal of approval. 301 and counting.

He seems to be the real thing. Members here have given him high praise. Even BenSash. lol But seriously if I were in NYC I would give him a spin.

I just got the latest(6th) volume of the Hemingway Letters Project issued by Cambridge Press. I have all 5 previous volumes and this latest takes us up to 1934-36. In the introduction they say there are probably going to be 17 or 18 volumes in all. They started in 2011 and this latest was published in 2024. Volume 4 was published in 2020. At this rate I will probably not live to see the last volume. On the other hand the 20’s and 30’s are probably the most interesting periods of his life. By the 50’s he started to experience writers block and became seriously mentally ill. Ending in his suicide in 1961.

Was it Stark or Sark? I thought the latter.

Read the entire thread and you’ll see who here has been with Dante.

That’s a bad sign. Providers should stick with their name unless there are extenuating circumstances.
