During this horrendous year on the pandemic front, I have managed to balance my work with my recreation, which has kept me healthy and sane. Hoping that next year brings us some relief on the COVID front so that we can all get back to all the people and experiences that make life truly worth living.

I knew that pizza had been developed in Canada. Coincidentally I had a slice yesterday, probably the first time in 30 or so years. Don’t eat pizza much at all but it was a small lunch party of 8 or so friends and one had asked for it. Fortunately there were other choices as it was awful as I remembered. The one depicted here looked like it might be better.

Yeah, there was something awful about KS in the way it was seen as a stigmata which encompassed so much more than the mere cancer that it was. It was treated almost like leprosy by the straights. And for me the most impactful photo ever taken of that era was of a loving father cradling his emaciated son on his deathbed. It tore at the heart.

I still have numerous shoes that require shining. Did a pair last week. During the summer I mostly wear sneakers and sandals. My winter boots require cleaning and polish since we have lots of salt used on sidewalks and streets which must be crossed. So lots of upkeep generally. I went to a school where we had cadets so had to have a particular shine on those boots. Ugh. Later in life I bought several pairs of army surplus boots which I liked to wear to the bars in Montreal, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Never worriedI about what I was stepping on in the dark LOL.

That would be like a working holiday, I suppose. Nice scenery, nice weather in January. Some hot men. What’s not to like!

This suggests some of the videos may come back on my playlist. I guess I will just have to wait it out.

Reading this just makes me want to plan for a trip to London when conditions permit. I was texting with a London escort last night and he said London was going into a further lockdown today. In the alternate universe where COVID didn’t happen, I would have visited NYCity this fall and spent a whole bunch of cash on good dining and great escorts, like I did last fall. We have all been losers this year in so many ways. Except by surviving, which I hope all of us did and will continue to do so so that we can play another day.
