  1. I've got news for Bill Gates. Piss is drinkable, straight from the tap. Why mess with a good thing.😛
  2. I read in the NYTimes the other day that there is a debate going on about whether a memorial of some kind should not replace the fallen condo. The argument seemed to favor a sale of the property to make as whole as possible the families that lost much if not everything in the collapse. Many were pensioners whose condos were the principal assets they owned.
  3. You missed my point. The commentary that accompanied the film was making it appear that the Village was dead. The truth is it was just asleep, perhaps hungover, depending on the morning. Lol.
  4. Why not just junk the idea of giving kids toys with their meals. Try selling nutritious food instead. So the kids will grow up healthy.
  5. This is a very misleading film about Ste Catherine Street today. When I was there last weekend, it was fairly humming with activity for a Saturday afternoon. The film was obviously shot early in the morning from the way the sun is casting shadows. At 8 or 9 in the morning, it always appears dead. Except for the liquor truck restocking the bars and restaurants. Lol. And there were very few storefronts that were empty, only couple I noticed. And the commentary sucked. Why was he going on about Chinatown? Totally irrelevant. In sum, not worth watching
  6. I also paid a cancellation fee voluntarily since I had booked an overnight well in advance since it would require travel on my part to his city. I can't recall when I bailed but the fee eased my conscience.
  7. I once backed out of an overnight engagement because the provider suggested dinner at his place and he would buy, at my expense, three bottles of an expensive wine he particularly liked. The planning for our night together had gone really well until he suggested that. I got cold feet at the thought of a drunk provider and me having to leave in the middle of the night. I enjoy a drink or two at the most with a meal. I always appreciate a provider who is moderate in his consumption of alcohol. Re drugs, don't want to be around them except for a bit of weed if the provider relaxes with that. After all it is legal in Canada and treated like alcohol by the authorities.
  8. Just before the pandemic when I was planning to visit London, I was in touch with a provider who was hesitant to take me as a client since I'm in my 70's and he had had the same experience as Jamie with a client who had a heart issue during sex and the provider had to accompany the client to the hospital. So he had in his ad only clients up to their 60s. I tried to explain that heart issues can affect a 40 or 50 yo. I think there is always the possibility something could go wrong in a sexual setting which is just impossible to anticipate. I always think of Gov. Rockefeller who died in his mistress's bed in this context. And that hit the press he was so high profile and had a high profile wife, who I recall was named Happy.
  9. I owned a Victorian brick house that was the same width, 16 feet, but originally only 37 feet deep until I added a 10 foot extension on the rear first floor. During a renovation before I bought it, the first floor had been altered to place the kitchen at the front and livinging room at the rear, off a nice garden. I was very happy living in that house for 20 years despite its compact size. Of course I had 3 levels, not just the one in this house. I've always had a thing for tiny houses, especially for single people. My current house is only a little bit bigger but has much more outdoor space for decks, gardens and a large garage.
  10. I have a brother who has the same problem. GPS has been a god saver.
  11. This is good advice. I was reading today that the supermodel Evangelista, who is now in her 50s, underwent a CoolSculpting procedure some years ago and is now a recluse. The operation had the opposite effect on her with a rare reaction that produced fat rather than eliminating it. And several corrective procedures made her condition worse, such that she will not go out in public. She is now suing the parent company, which is Allergan, one of the largest cosmetic and medical company in the world. She is claiming her life has been ruined.
  12. Jake is a very warm individual, kinky as hell, and definitely versatile. Not with me, where he was a top, but with Trev, where he bottomed. Also a great kisser. Very well educated too.
  13. I think he jerked you around. I agree with others that you should see if you can find a replacement. If you are in LA, that should not be too difficult.
  14. A case of "he doth protest too much", perhaps.
  15. Jake is MuscleTatsGuy on RM, Toronto.
  16. Your bad. Or you're bad. Whichever way it is, 15 minutes is a short time lapse. Maybe he's in the bathroom.
  17. I was interested in your comment about "high maintenance" clients. I have never really given that notion any thought. Would you mind explaining what it is exactly that makes a client high maintenance? Is it that they take too much time before the date to talk over things or something that actually happens during the date? Or even after? As for myself, I like lots of communication before hand since I usually book weeks in advance but I don't try to overburden the provider through constant messaging. However if we get into discussions about whatever comes up, I certainly enjoy that, especially with someone I have never met before. It makes the eventual encounter all the more satisfying for both of us (I hope on his part too). Also I usually do overnights so I am making a substantial investment in the date in more than just time.
  18. In my case and at my age I do a series of squats every morning just after I get up to keep the ass I have. I was always happy with it and want to keep it as long as I'm still walking around.
  19. I spent last weekend with him and included time with his friend Jake as well. We did two sessions, one an overnight. He more than lived up to his ad on RM. Very intelligent guy and a gorgeous body. Not inexpensive but worth it. Both are from Toronto but I met them in Montreal.
  20. My signature was set around the time I entered university at age 18. I remember making a conscious effort to make it distinctive and different from my cursive writing style. I still retain it today more than half a century later. My last name is ten letters so a bit longish. So I most often end my signature in a scrawl. For legibility, when required on a document, I take care to form the letters at the end. That becomes impossible if I am signing multiple documents but usually the name is printed below so it doesn't matter. I'm.an artist too so if I'm working in pen or pencil, I use my usual signature. If working in oils, I print my name with my initial. Which reminds me, I only use the initial of my first name in my signature, never the full first name since it would get too long. Have you ever noticed that many forms contain a box for a signature and the size of the box seems to assume everyone is a John Doe.
  21. I don't find it out of line. I always measure the fee against what's on offer. I understand your reluctance to engage someone who is new to the scene. Better to wait for some reviews. But by then, if he's good you may find his rates have gone up or availability has gone down. Sometimes being in on the ground floor is a good thing.
  22. Now I've learned something. The only jurisdiction in Canada that doesn't recognize common law unions is Quebec, which operates under a Civil Code(derived from the Code Napoleonic). I understand Louisiana also has the Code Napoleonic. A part of our French heritage on both sides of the border.
  23. If I think things are going to get messy, I always lay down a sheet on top of the regular bedding to absorb stains. If watersports are involved I put a plastic mattress liner under the sheet. I even do this in hotels as I dislike leaving too great a mess behind. Hence I always travel with a duffle bag full of sheets and towels. That way I don't need to ask housekeeping for extra ones. I also take a plastic garbage bag along to put the soiled and wet sheets and towels in to take home inside the duffel bag. Easy, peasy.
  24. I guess you haven't received a call from the Donald.
