I think it is more likely that provider rates will stabilize if we enter a recession rather than go down. I can't remember what happened to rates after the financial crash in 08.

Ok, but I assume that if we discuss what would happen to provider rates if we enter into a recession, that would be kosher in this forum.

I make a distinction between political and economic discussions. Talking about inflation and its impacts on people and their spending habits doesn't strike me as political, unless we vere into policies being advocated by political parties.

40 years ago I hit 200kph or 120mph in my 6 cylinder Mercedes 280 on the autobahn going to Cologne. I was in the slow lane. Lol. The bigger Mercedes and BMW's were passing me like I was standing still.

220 kph (132mph) on the Autoroute de Soliel between Lyons and the French Riveria. It was my sports car but I had let my boyfriend "de jour" (he was a hot Spaniard I had picked up in a bar a couple of nights earlier and we decided to go to St. Tropez) take over the wheel while I had a nap. I suddenly woke up when I felt the car vibrating and looked over to see the speed. I told him to slow down. That was around 1982.

I just tried now and was able to log onto Rentmen. I guess the glitch has been solved, for now. Wonder if we'll find out what went wrong.

Rentmen being down for me means that I can't check out any of the providers referenced by posters in the Deli. Has a significant impact on the usefulness of this forum.

Quite frankly, I don't like the idea. As we are all anonymous on this site, the only identifier we have is our moniker. Over time we get to tecognize participants in the forum by associating their names with our perceptions of their personalities. Changing their names is like entering into the witness protection program. New name, new identity. Very alienating in my view. Also if someone's name disappears I will probably think they died.

My brother and his wife bought long term care insurance in their 40's as he was self employed and she didn't work. They paid about $3000 per year in premiums. Now he is 79 and she is 84 and has dementia. She went into a facility last summer that costs $9000 per month and the insurance pays half. Whether it was worth it depends on how long she lives. Otherwise she is very healthy and could live another 5 years or more. She gets excellent care. Even has an exercise bike set up in her room. He gets to take her out to a restaurant or even home for a meal on her good days. Other days she's in a complete fog and doesn't recognize him. In my case I have a great pension and that would cover me if I had to go into ltc. So I never bothered to buy a policy.

Mohamet Ghandi drank his own urine too. First case I had heard of decades ago. I only sample urine from favoured providers, not my own. And fresh, not old stuff.

24 hours is not an overnight rate. He charged me under $2000 last year for a 12 hour ov. but I threw in a dinner at a nice restaurant. His rates may have gone up as he has become popular. I saw him early in his career, just a month after he started his ad on RM.

Is that what he is charging now? If so looks like I got in on the ground floor. Lol

I've been together with both Trev and Leo as a threesome a couple of times (although Leo was going by the name Jake) and it was a lot of fun. Jake by himself was also a lot of fun. I did an overnight with him, having previously had an overnight with Trev. All in all, some great experiences. But I have moved on to other great times with others.

Are the birds up at 4am? I ask because at this time of the year the birds start to chirp outside my bedroom window around then. It's uncany how just a glimmer of light on the eastern horizon, which my bedroom window faces, gets them going. To me there is no appreciable difference in light conditions between then and an hour earlier. These days I'm a fairly light sleeper and awake at different times of the night and look at the window to see what the night sky looks like. Luckily I drop off to sleep again most times. I have no desire to get out of bed until 7 at the earliest.
