For an American tourist, its's really not a lot of money.
Also, Cock Bar doesn't have the selection of hot boys that Campus or even Stock have; or if you are old enough, that Remington's used to have. But you are correct on all of your assumptions. An entry fee ($5 on weeknights and $10 on weekends?), $20 to the club for admission to the back room, and then $20 per song to the dancer. No wristbands at CockBar. It's $20 for each visit to the back room. 
In defense of the club, the lap dance booths at CockBar are the best around. Each booth has a separate entrance that locks with a bolt from the inside. Each booth (more like a small cabin) has a wall mirror, and is stocked with a Purell dispenser and Kleenex.

I am on holiday in Toronto and visited Cockbar.  I'm not going to repeat too much of what has already been said: 
$10 Canadian entry fee.  2 bars (both open on Friday/Saturday), each with a dancer pole.  Dancers get fully nude.  Drinks are more expensive than adjacent gay bars on Church Street.  Private dances $20 Canadian to the house, then $20/song to the dancer.  Booths are completely private with locking doors.
I found all of the dancers attractive on the Friday I went.  I only had one private dance (the $20 Canadian fee to the house for every new dancer is a turn off for me; I much prefer Johnson's system of paying the house once then getting a wrist band good for the rest of the night).  The dancer gave me a LOT even though I told him up front to stop after 3 songs (which is what he did).  During those 3 songs, we experienced activities that many men on RentMen won't even list as "into". 😉

Update: Since I was in town recently, figured I’d bite the bullet and try to meet up with Ocean if our schedules aligned.
