I spent the last three months in Ft. Lauderdale.  I went to Boardwalk once, and even though they have renovated, it is still the same with pushy, straight dancers.  I would have liked to have seen one of Giovanni's Wednesday shows, but they are too late for me.  I did go to Johnson's once, but here again about 90% of the dancers are straight, and that is not my thing.
Therefore I spent most of my time at LeBoy and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Wrist bands are still only $10, that get you into the lap dance area all night.  There is a big turnover of dancers, and none that I had enjoyed last year were still there.  But of course I met new ones.  All ages, types, etc. are available.  the dancers did not seem to gather in gaggles like they used to - they do more mixing with the customers.  What I did notice is that they don't seem to have a regular rotation of dancers on the stage like they used to - dancers go to the stage on more of a sporadic rotation at their will.  I usually left by 10:00, so the regular rotation may start later.
Bartenders Andy, Chris, and Ricky are still there as is my favorite bouncer of all time....Lee!
I spent most of my time with a dancer from Italy, Lorenzo, but alas! he is headed back home by now.  Three other dancers that I would recommend are Jason, Sparkle, Apollo, and Baby Blue.
 

I was not there for the New Year’s eve bash, but I learned my lesson in 2022 and went on December 30. I ran into the advertised headliner that I wanted to see. This past December 30 I only wanted to go to see Felix Fox and he was there, stunningly beautifully muscled. I paid that cover charge to go to that back room with him and we had a blast! I was with friends and we had planned to go to Johnsons and Felix was getting called up to the stage anyway so we left LeBoy and went over to Johnson’s where I always have a good time!
But I had seen all the dancers at Johnsons for the two nights before and Felix and I had a great time in that back room. So I told my friends that I would meet them at home because I was returning to LeBoy. I went back and waited for Felix, who was talking with patrons and other dancers. And when he saw me, I asked if we could go back to the back room again. He obliged. I paid that fee again and enjoyed a half hour with some of the funnest Muscle, I’ve seen in a while! 
 
I absolutely agree with other posters that Johnsons is a much better deal for $10 and an all night pass to the private space. But when you find a good performer who wants to play like Felix did, it was financially worth it to pay the cover twice and have about an hours worth of fun with all of the money going to Felix! While I have done everything short of anal sex in the Johnsons private space, I had just as much fun with so much more privacy in the larger, nicer private space at LeBoy.  

If anyone is interested you can scroll back and read our old reviews. They were really good if I say so myself. We worked pretty hard on them. We had to do a lot of research. Not easy but we enjoyed our jobs. We didn’t get any freebies btw. 

I’m surprised that Cooper and Foxy haven’t chimed in on this thread.  Remember how they would attend the first show of the week (Monday) at the Gayiety,  and then post a review on this site listing the dancers and their attributes.  I really miss that.  Such detail!

Gaiety was MY first hire.
Was there for a birthday-party evening out, with some gay friends.
'Vito' came on stage and I was smitten.
Never had plans to hire a dancer. But he chatted me up in "the lounge" and I couldn't resist the opportunity to get in his.pants even though I had.little cash with me. We made it work.

Show Palace had a more diverse group of dancers. white, latino and black.  Gaiety was more vanilla.  It was rare to see a black dancer at Gaiety.  
Show Palace was raunchier.  Not unusual for dancers to have sex with the clients sitting next to the stage.  Or at the very least, jerk them off.  I don't recall seeing that at the Gaiety.
Having said that, I always had a good time at the Gaiety.  But I did hire more often at Show Palace, Cats and Stella's.  

Yes. Buffdaddy loved Cats, Gaiety, Show Palace  ❤️.  Eros, Adonis Threater. Good Days will never  see again.  Early afternoon shows at the Gaiety 1:15. Can you imagine asking a Dancer today to be at work at that time. Don't forget the Hotels on 8 Ave. The lullaby of Broadway was that on 8? I remember the commercials on TV.  Who remembers the Follies? Something like the Gaiety.  Nude male entertainment.  I saw Porn Star John King there. We had a hot 🔥  time in the back. The place didn't last long after  CBS  Channel 2  sent a reporter to go check the place out after hearing about  illegal activities 🙄.

Attendance seemed to be on par with last year. No cover (valet parking is paid but free self parking available).  And yes, the porn stars were there. 

FLL will become home for me starting in early Feb.

Madrigal's was great!  I spent a lot of time there, and was at practically all of their private parties in the 90's.

Yep I went to a few at the old Madrigals when they were still open. Had some fun times. Since they closed I haven’t been to any. Miss those days. 

I went to a number of the private parties that used to be at Jackhammer back in the day. They were always hot times with full nudity, where you could purchase foreskin shots and “toss the salad” of the dancers. Most of the dancers claimed to be straight and it was always funny to think they were leaving the relative debauchery of that afternoon to perform for unsuspecting straight women later that evening.

The club gets it's money from selling drinks, which is a very high margin profit.  If I were an owner, I wouldn't focus on also trying to take a cut from the dancers.  The dancers are like the free chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant: they're a loss leader that brings the customers through the front door.
But that's just my opinion.
 

I am reluctant to get private dances at Boardwalk because of their new entrance fee per dancer policy.  But at Johnson's and LeBoy (when you bought a wrist band that was good for entry with different dancers all night), I found I was more motivated to go back for more private dances to "get my money's worth" from the wrist band purchase.  It's silly, I know, to be motivated by saving a few bucks when I'm going to easily spend a few hundred dollars in a night there.  But the psychological effect of having paid for all night access does something psychologically to encourage multiple dances.
If I was a strip club operator, I would look at supply and demand.  If there was a queue for booths for private dances (like there almost always is at Spunk @ Monster  in New York City) then I would raise the cover charge for each private dance.  If the booths were not at capacity most nights (which has been my experience with Boardwalk and LeBoy) , I would charge only the one fee for an all-night wrist band to encourage patrons to come back for multiple dances the same night.

I'm assuming "LeBoy" is a business. If the "back room" is a focus of the establishment, it makes sense that they would want to capitalize on that.$15 is pocket change now. Bills gotta get paid and the owners need to make a.profit on their efforts to.keep you guys entertained.
 

Boardwalk, Johnson’s & LeBoy can all be fun - the people watching alone is worth going.  
As has been discussed here before - exercise extreme caution w wallet & phone in Boardwalk.  They have a deserved reputation for stealing from customers.

Not a fan of the “lap-dances” tho at any price - just like straight strip clubs it’s the quickest way to separate you & your money with no actual sex.  The fantasy is you can have sex but it will never happen in those places.  I’d only do it as a final check if I was hiring someone from there.

I was just there a month ago on a Thursday through Sunday trip.  It was slow mid week but got a little better on Saturday night.   There was about a half dozen guys each night.  A couple were good looking.  If you tipped them while dancing for you at the bar they would stop by for a longer visit but did not do lap dances. I am sure you could negotiate for a later experience when they get off around 2 am.  

I haven’t seen an update in a while of Lucky Horseshoe in Chicago, so I thought I would attempt one.
Since Micah took ownership of the bar, he has made quite a few improvements. There are three bars inside with two of them that have stages for dancers.  The third bar is open only on weekends.  The old bathrooms have been updated, and a third one installed in the far back bar.  They have various theme nights, and added new lighting.  Drinks are fairly priced compared to other bars in Chicago.
The dancers have improved greatly in my opinion.  They dance every night except Monday at 8:00 and start at 3:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.  On any given night there are from 12 to 20 dancers in all sizes and shapes, from twink to twunk to bodybuilder.  They are good about not huddling together, but make the rounds of the customers.  During the evening, there are 2 dancers at all times - one on the front stage and one on the back stages.  Both stages are accessible from all sides.  
Micah recently bought the bar called @mosphere up in Andersonville in Chicago.  They have dancers as well, but don’t start until the late nights.
 

Had taken a partial break from Escort duties and my RM ad (and new clients) over the last 2 months to get moved into my new home and do some major landscaping work, which is a big interest of mine.  Took a week off from my office as well.  First I request there be no negative feedback. My dilemma is that I am an old 'baby boomer' who has never lived as a gay man. I married years ago and raised a family. I am not willing to give up my family. What I want is to find friend(s) in similar situations. When I say friends, I mean that. Not sex, but just conversation about our shared situation. I live in Delco, PA. I have tried to find groups and 'chat' rooms for this, but no luck. Is there anyone out there reading this who is living in the area (outside Philadelphia)? Some of the younger men do not seem to understand that us older guys have a completely different life and grew up in a very different time. I am actually expecting some negative feedback, but I will ignore that. Thanks in advance.
