I wouldn’t say Kai has a “bad reputation”, as his reviews here seem mostly good + RM reviews are stellar. I think you much too easily associated the name with stereotypical Blackness. Also, he may not be consciously trying to evoke “Blackness” by the name. “Dawg” may be used without this intent.
