I would love to give my input on this topic. I have been stiffed many many times, which is why I sometimes ask for a deposit if it’s longer hours. The first time I’ve been stiffed was when I was talking to a client that lived in Texas in 2021, and he flew me out for a three night overnight trip. Something like that you should ask for money upfront, but I think because I trusted him I didn’t ask for it after my weekend and my time with him I never asked for any of the money upfront and I thought he was just gonna automatically pay me and he never ended up paying me after i left. The man owes me a lot of money. The second time I’ve been scammed I had an overnight with a client and he didn’t give me the full amount as he said he had to leave early in the morning while I was still sleeping. this man also stole my Apple Watch as well.. I noticed both of these issues when I woke up because my Apple Watch was gone and I counted the money and it wasn’t all there. when I meet with a client in person, I always ask for them to put the money on the table count it just so I know I’m not gonna get scanned. as I mentioned to a lot of clients and future clients, it’s not just my time it’s our time and our time is important. it’s unfortunate that Not only do a lot of clients go out of their way. Thank you for the kind message. Yes, They some people that will always say something negative about you. Whether you do something good or bad. I have been very lucky to meet some really great clients, but I’ve met a lot of people who are not so nice people. as long as there’s heat, I’m happy lol. unfortunately, my property manager ignored my request for proper heat and my apartment was 55° when I was called outside as long as I have heat I’m fine. lol. without going too much detail and still looking to sue them unfortunately it’s not something I wanna do, but I don’t like seeing people getting taken advantage of.

I never had that I you’re mistaken for someone else. Communication is key with me with clients and and I’m not a fan of drama myself. I like to get to know my clients and get a better understanding about who I’m meeting and and I think you have me mistaken for someone else. Unfortunately, I have got stiffed a few times, including a guy that flew me out to Texas for a three day weekend and never paid me. An Overnight situation like that I think it’s fair to ask for 50% upfront ( because of issues like this). Then the rest when I’m there. I tend to not want to ask for the payment upfront when I meet a client because I don’t want them to feel uncomfortable, but I always tell them if they feel like getting out of the way just leave it on the nightstand. but at the end of the day, I want my clients to feel comfortable, enjoy themselves, and also not have to worry about anything. Sorry for the delay. I missed your message. I agree with that. Unfortunately I had an issue in 2021 where a client flew me out to TX for a three night weekend and never paid me anything. I do take responsibility for that, because it does go back to my question should I get ask for a deposit so I don’t get messed up financially. I’m fine with clients not giving me one if I know they are serious and not going to just waste our time. a lot of people forget it’s not just mine time , it’s OUR time together and I want both parties to be respectful of it.
