As others have said, it's a useless thing to state. It immediately makes me feel the escort doing it is in over his head.

What matters more is having a great attorney at arm's length in the event you need him.

Probably there's a real escort behind the ad. But when the pics are old you know he's dishonest. Did he ever look like that, or are the pics both old AND stolen? What else is he lying about?

I think it's inappropriate to hit on someone while they're working, and coercive if they're in a retail or service industry or are your employees. The big exception is gay strippers. Getting you hot and bothered is their job.

Your guy has been propositioned a thousand times. If he's not interested, he'll deflect your question or politely decline. If you're discreet and respectful, he'll probably say yes. Make it clear that you're offering him a job, not asking him out socially. "Can I hire you for a private performance?" Don't use the word escort. He may be available for the job but not think of it as escorting. And since you're in a conservative town, he may be concerned about entrapment. Just be cool. And back off on facebook.

Personally, bed massages are pretty worthless....unless we're just using it as a preamble to fucking.

Real massage....requires a table....and we can still fuck on the bed later...if we want!

continue occasionally hanging out at the strip club when he's working and chat him up in a very casual way when there.....don't hog him when there, but tip, of course

DO NOT continuously make FB posts gushing and fawning all over him (if you even are)......don't look creepy or weird.....be professional, polite, clean, groomed, respectful.....

it's entirely fine to ask him, "do you accept private meets outside the club?"......I usually avoid words like "escort" in this context just to keep it light and friendly.....again, avoid appearing to be obsessed and infatuated....keep it friendly and easy......depending on his answer to the question, just proceed as normal.....don't get too stalker-ish and don't take it too seriously!

Right. Many homeless have smartphones. I see them at Starbucks every day. It's a survival tool. Sometimes it's the only thing of value they had with them when they were evicted or ran away.

WiFi works without mobile service. That gives them email, text messages, VOIP, Skype, the web, job ads, access to public services, Google maps, gps... weather reports if they're sleeping rough. Many phones can call 911 even without service.

Next time you upgrade, factory reset your old phone, put it in a bag with the charger and give it to a shelter or drop in center. Homeless people get robbed all the time. Somebody will want it.

Don't beat yourself up over this. When all is said and done, you are not responsible for their lives. The situation was a crap shoot. Like others, I would have asked him what he needed, given him some money, offered him a hot meal, but beyond that I too would have left him as I found him. Yes there are some good kids out there, that are just a little lost, tossed out of the family home and down on their luck, hoping for a better life, but many do have drug problems and mental health issues that make them dangerous. Your safety and well being should always be considered first.

    Anyway.

I've not heard anyone express a fondness for a monopolized, single-provider niche for listing services
M4RN, Hourboy, BackPage and others are slowly evaporating or being hobbled, solidifying that single-provider position in the listing service marketplace
Presumably both clients and providers benefit from a competing listing service, if for no other reason than to encourage RM to be responsive & affordable

Therefore, it would seem to be in the best interests of everyone who cared to see any competitor thrive, even if it is flawed.
Any critically-flawed business model will inevitably fail but if the demand for a service persists then another will appear in the marketplace - if you don't like it then simply wait with benign disregard for this to occur.

It seems to me that the most constructive step forward for everyone who cares is to give constructive feedback, make suggestions, sacrifice a goat, or whatever, for any RM competitor.

It's nothing personal; it's just business.

Wow. So much animosity here. Let me give my two cents. First, full disclosure. I am working with rentboy.pro as an independent collaborator. I have been giving feedback from the beginning, and I submitted an article that will be published once they start a new section in their website. The articles I will be writing are my personal opinion, I am not given any editorial lines or list of subjects to write about. In exchange, what they are doing for me is publishing a banner with my blog's logo and link.

So it is out of question that I do have a personal interest involved in the success of Rentboy.pro. It is also a fact that if my opinion has any weight in our community it is due to my honesty and intended objectivity. I have not lied, I do not lie, I will not lie.

About @SecretShopper breaking the site rules. I think it is a pointless argument, @Guy Fawkes has blessed his participation. Personally, I appreciate we have a voice representing a player in the industry. SShopper is not hiding his interest and his bias, he has stated clearly his affiliation. I wish we also had representatives from rentmen, A4A, and every other member of the hiring community.

About the free sample. I agree it was a very bad idea, in my and many others' opinion it was borderline abusive of the professionals. We communicated our criticism, and rentboy.pro changed the model. Did they make a mistake. Yes, a big one. Did they listen to feedback, accept their mistake, and correct the situation? Hell yes. I actually think that the whole process speaks loudly about their willingness to take constructive feedback and actually make improvements. They are not just saying they are listening, they are operating actual improvements based on our criticism.

About the non commercial nature of the project. Let's not be disingenuous. Rentboy.pro is non commercial, but the business plan is eventually to become a for profit website. It is explained in the very rentboy.pro website. They are offering to the providers the free publication for now, warning them that in about one year they will have to start paying a low fee. Like any on line project, they are right now growing and as part of that growing strategy they are offering everything for free. But that is not for ever.

I am actually thrilled we have the chance to work with them offering our criticism, shaping a new website to our (clients and professionals) needs.

Going back to my initial comment, it does puzzles me the unfriendly animosity. We are a very small community, instead of supporting each other we are hating. Boytoy doesn't talk to Daddy's. Daddy's does not talk to boytoy. Whether or not you are still distrustful, Rentboy.pro is indeed the most promising new player I have seen in at least a decade, however some of us seem to be betting to their failure.

I don't much care who represents whom, but if people come here and state the reasons for their presence I tend to take it on face value until I see persuasive reasons to believe otherwise.

'Rentboy.pro' as a domain name potentially describes characteristics of the site or of the subject matter of the site. The name does not either state or imply which of those possibilities is correct.
