While I can't speak for others, typically I ask the escort to provide me with fee information during the second email exchange we have.

I prefer not to mention fees so the escort has the option of setting depending on whatever factor he choses. I would suspect that some have different pricing levels depending on the market. If a provider visits a city where the average fee is higher than his usual, I don't see a reason he can't up it a bit since that's the market, he might as well make a bit more.

 

Same if one if visiting a market where the average price is lower. Where he might get business since he's new/visiting, higher prices may reduce the number of appointments he gets.

The escorts will list their services upfront but withhold the price so entice the clients to hire them. The client like what they see and then later when they see the price will think it well worth the cost.

Sorry I misunderstood. I was thinking why the escort does not list their price rather than why the client would not list it in their review since of course they know what they paid. Again my apologies.

Nearly all fields are optional if I understand well, the system will let you submit more or less anything. Of course Daddy can reject a poorly substantiated review and choose not to publish it.

Maybe because:

• Rates change over time
  
• Rates may be specific to that client's requests
  
• The rate may seem irrelevant to the poster if the review is about the experience
  
• Some guys don't want the admit how much they spent
  

I personally wonder why more reviewers don't plainly explain if there was HE, mutual touch, and other performance details. But as was pointed out previously- it doesn;t seem like much is mandatory in writing reviews on the site.

The world of reviews on this site has changed radically because of the Rentboy scare. I used to write reviews on a regular basis but no longer. I find the current restraints on what can be written so limiting that reviews these days, for me at least, border on being meaningless. I would therefore guess that some reviewers are hesitant to be explicit regarding rates for fear of creating the appearance of prostitution.

When I now hire an escort and have a positive experience I simply list that fact in the Deli and state that if a reader wants more information he should PM me.

I thought maybe rates ought to be based on location. NYC is more expensive that some small town in the South. One size does not fit all.

I have included the escort's rates in my five reviews. I note that all of the reviews published this month include the escort's price. I'm not prepared to do perform an extensive analysis, but my recollection is that many, if not most, reviewers include the price. I wonder if many who don't provide it fail to carefully review what's asked of them in the review form.

The fees paid by others is irrelevant to me; it is probably the least important fact I could know about a provider or his reputation, especially since I have frequently agreed to different terms than others for similar session types. What matters.....(1) I propose a session, duration, and location (2) the provider quotes his fee (3) I accept or decline.

When I write a review here or on Rentmen I state what I was charged. I have a $ limit that I have so once that threshold has gone beyond I don't care what the reviews have been. But if the $ range is in my budget that fact does not have bearing on whether I meet with that escort.

I usually hire for something specific that takes more than an hour. Since I can no longer say what I got for my money, there's no point in saying how much I paid for it.

 

It's a problem everywhere, but you'll still find the most reliable info on daddy's.
