A deposit alternative: once I was asked to send one and declined. I told the provider we could meet in a bar near me and I would put the requested deposit on the table for him. It was his whether we clicked or not. We had a beer, got to know each other, and went to my place. I realize this won't always work.

Canada: I have never used Canadianmale. We also have leolist.cc. It seems to be updated. I used it once and it was one of my more disappointing experiences. Something about it seems a bit sketchy. Some of the providers listed there have phone numbers from other countries. Those give me pause. There is also romeo.com. Have not used it but would consider doing so.

I subscribed to an OF performer for $10 for a month. I was disappointed to find that the longest video included in that price was 22 seconds. They are just previews. Every longer video requires additional payment. I have subscribed to a few other OFs and I have seen that additional payment is required, but it is really the exception and not the rule. I contacted the performer and his answer was "I'm sorry you are disappointed." I'd like to know if anyone here has had similar experiences.

I see a number of providers giving the finger in their RM pictures. For me, this is an instant pass. It's hard for me to imagine that this would be a positive for potential clients. Is it possible that it doesn't mean what it used to? Should I reconsider?

Twice I saw that a provider had no way to contact him on rentmen.eu, but contact via RM Messenger was available on rent.men. Also, one provider who does not list his phone number told me that after the initial contact by RM Messenger and once an appointment is made, he shares his number.

I am sure there will not be agreement, but I wanted to ask. I don't think it should be included any more than alcoholic beverages. BTW, both are legal in Canada. That's my opinion and here I am trying to find out if there is a consensus out there in Companyofmenland.

I have a RM profile that lists everything I am looking for. I refer the potential provider to it to see if we are compatible and I tell him that I can answer any questions he may have. I tell him where I live and the date and time I am looking for. It almost always works!

How many times a month is a regular client?

This has happened to me twice in about 25 times. I told both of them that I just wasn't in the mood. I did not attempt to throw them out because they were much bigger and stronger than me and they were inside my apt. We just chatted for an hour, I paid them, and they left. Not ideal, I know, but I wanted to avoid possible confrontation.

I refer them to my RM profile, which lists what I am into and even two or three things that I'm not into. Then I tell them to ask me anything they want (via text) if they have additional questions.

When I read all the posts in this thread I am astonished and I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone. In the last 6 years I have hired a grand total of 30 different men. (I keep a list.) Some better than others for sure. All of them have come to my place. My vetting is limited to looking at their pics, reading the reviews, and asking them if they are ok with most things in my profile. Never have I been asked to pay upfront. Never have I felt at all threatened. Never have I asked them to meet in public first. I must be doing something right and maybe I have a sixth sense for choosing correctly. But there must be other Twilight Zone dwellers besides me.
