Thanks for everybody's input! My philosophy is that if you're doing some type of business, transaction or other important communication you should have it turned on. If you don't recognize the number you could turn it off and then on, It does give a certain level or peace of mind and still retains privacy against those "parking violations, job opportunity" scammers. I thought there was a time in the past when individual contacts could be toggled whether you wanted that contact's number to receive a Read Receipt or not. But perhaps at some point Mr. Cook and Co. decided to nix it. Which IMHO was a mistake.

What do you think about escorts that use iMessage but don't allow potential clients to know whether they've received/read a message using It, even after communications are established.

I was wondering what people's experiences have been with guys who have profiles without any phone number(s) listed or given even when a message(inquiry for more information) is sent and reply given back.
