I heard that the event has become more corporate. I assumed that liquor companies promote themselves there, like they do at similar straight parties/bars.

My understanding is that these are corporate sponsored parties for men who want to dance, do molly, and hook up. What am I missing?

You can start an organization promoting masculinity in men and femininity in women, etc. if you believe in that. I doubt that many taxpayers are interested in funding such an endeavor.
