  1. Unrelated to being down, with rentmen's new my location designation and auto update when traveling, comes with no consideration of a users current or destination time zone. For instance, at 5pm PST today my location auto changed from Vegas to Seattle, with me not intending to change my location till boarding my flight at 8am tomorrow. For all their effort to eliminate confusion with regards to location, they just create more for the client, and for an escort create the false reality that a browsing client wasn't paying attention.

I wish rentmen would just get their act together.

5 PM Pacific = Midnight GMT. Could it be possible you told rentmen.eu you’d be in Seattle on the 26th? It was the 26th GMT @ 5 PM Pacific.

  2. You boys in California are very lucky. In DC, property taxes are based on current assessed values, which go up significantly every year.

The same condo in my building sold last year for $800K... Their property tax is $10K per year.

Remember Howard Jarvis and Prop 13 - it fixed valuation at purchase price plus COI increases every year. I've lived in my home 25 years and my valuation for tax purposes has risen to $247K.

  3. I assume that those in NYC, LA, SF and other "blue" states are equally screwed.

I wasn't screwed by the SALT limit of $10,000. My LA property tax is less than $3k per year. My state income tax ate up the rest of the $10K, but doubling my personal exemption to $12,000 (in 2018, $12,200 in 2019) covered what the SALT limitation took away.

My Federal Taxes paid has dropped from 22% in 2017, before the tax law, it's now 17%.

  4. Mazel Tov. When I paid off my mortgage in DC, I had to start paying my property taxes directly to the DC government rather than having them included in the mortgage payment. Writing those semi-annual checks is painful as the property taxes in DC are exorbitant. And the Trump $10,000 deduction cap on state and property taxes hits really hard, especially for those of us in "blue" jurisdictions.

Set up a money market account that auto-drafts your bank account on paydays for the % of the semi-annual payments. Then when the payment comes due, you can simply pay the bill without the big drop in your bank account.

  5. Thank you. This is the kind of thing I was wondering about. And actually when I posted this thread, it popped into my mind that if anyone knew the answer, @Benjamin_Nicholas, it might be you.

    Gman

This also explains why the?‍♂️didn't look at the registration sticker. The ALPRS can read and check up to 1500 license plates per minute. The computer told him to stop you. He was just following the computer's instructions.

As to the 11 hour time gap? Maybe DMV only updates it's database every weekday overnight? Just like banks update your accounts overnight, DMV is batch processing the day's events, overnight. At midnight, the system probably hadn't updates.

  6. Every couple of months there's news of a helicopter crash but then it just disappears out of the public consciousness without a broader debate about helicopter safety. Helicopters crashes are ridiculously common and no one without a deathwish should be setting foot on one.

I’m not sure your comment needed to be in this thread but alas, air travel in itself is far safer than automobile travel. You’re painting broad strokes with no data to support an exaggerated statement.

  7. My most favorite thing to do, you...lol.. JK JK ? naw I love to fish and relax with good mature adults and enjoy our time and company. The perfect day to me is being on the river with some like minded people.

Bud, Bud Light, Miller or Lite? Rednecks call sitting outdoors by water fishing, but it’s drinkin’, too.

  8. The checks were stolen before they even arrived at my place. I have no idea what happened... just a whole bunch of forged/canceled checks from "black" sounding names in Georgia and Florida.

I would still call my insurance company and ask about fraud protection for stolen/forged check fraud.

  9. Good to know... in my case, someone stole my new checks (as I was moving) and forged my name. The bank has proof on file of my signature and the forged checks did not match those on file. Despite this, they said i should have notified them sooner, so it was my fault.

You might find coverage in your renters/owners household policy.

  10. I’ve watched some of Mike’s videos along with several other fitness guys to learn about their techniques, etc. Seems like a nice and knowledgeable guy. As to the question of the OP, there was one video I watched where he was carrying on with the guys he was with. Apparently they had been out drinking and partying the night before. They made some comment to Mike, and his report of what he had been doing the night before was that he was:

    “Balls deep in a MILF.”

    So, for what that’s worth.

    MILF? Man I Love Fucking?
  11. During my 15 years of doing massage, I have found the following to be true of irritating and time wastage clients:

    1. First thing they ask is whether the masseur takes credit cards; when provided with other options like Venmo and PayPal they say nah I don’t have that. That’s the prelude to BS101 :):)

    2. Second, they ask for reduced time and reduced fee if the masseur has standard rates. Or they ask for certain aspects of the full service only and seek a reduced rate. That’s Fuckery101

    3. They’ll ask so many things and then just disappear in thin air without the simple courtesy of saying ‘thank you’ etc. That’s AgentVinod101 style - acts sophisticated but no money in the bank... lol

    4. Ok your turn :):)

I think your course numbers are a bit off.

    1. is BS101 - Freshman Antics

    2. is BS 303 - Junior negotiating Freshman Antics with Sophomoric sophistication

    3. is BS 606 - Master's class in how to TAX the therapist's time, marketing abilities and good-natured attitude with asinine kindergarten-level trivialities while having no intention of availing themselves of the thera-pissed services.

  12. @DallasClient I never thought of that. With all of the negative crap floating around on the internet, do they really need to worry about what goes on between consenting adults?

    Ever heard about Rentboy.com?

Feds took them down and prosecuted the bejesus outta them in the Eastern District of NY

  13. Well on one hand I agree with you. But I still think even your averagely trained optometrist can tell how bad a cataract is.

Plus I can see. I just have trouble with the edges of medians.

    Gman

The ophthalmological exam that confirmed my pituitary adenoma took over 3 hours, a visual field test, and a fundus study before the MRI. When I thanked the Professor with an MD & PhD, he responded, “Anyone who looked in your eyes could have seen how pale the nerve was and should have suspected tumor. ANYONE!” I had a full ophthalmological exam 3 months prior, and Optometrists exams every 3 years for the previous 17 years but NO ONE ELSE NOTICED!

Optometrists measure your vision for corrective lenses.

A good Ophthalmologist will examine your eyes, optic nerves and how your brain responds to what your eyes see.

  14. OP. Why in God's name would u have to worry about someone spitting in the food or imbedding something worse in the entrees? Do you think u r a mob boss and someone might take u out. If anyone would do that it would be the kitchen staff if you kept sending back the meal to be made differently.

I’m wondering why an escort would object to a little bit of spit... doesn’t he suck face (swallow spit)with multiple guys as part of his work?

  15. LA Metro, DC Subway, Seattle Sounder, BART, all seem safe to me. However, I've ridden the LA system through South LA and parts of Hollywood with um, less desirable, patronage. So I tend to stay alert.

Also, I spent a weekend in SF in November, walked all over the Financial District, Market St and the Wharf, and never encountered any of the problems often mentioned re: homeless and droppings.
